- Highlights of the #2 Razorbacks 98-88 victory over the #6 and eventual National Champion Blue Devils in the semifinals of the 1990-1991 preseason NIT. The game was a rematch of the Final Four meeting a few months prior and the two teams wouldn't meet again until the 1994 National Championship game.

That 90-91 team should've went all the way. Damn you, Kansas LOL
I know... Todd day disappeared on us in the 2nd half
Damn damn damn shame, had a big halftime lead vs Kansas and came back out in a fog and committed a ridiculous number of dumb fouls to put them in the bonus almost the entire half. Would’ve handily beaten NC and set up a rematch vs this same Duke team for the title
The way they beat Duke in this game, who eventually won the National Championship that year, they should have one it all that year and even had a chance in 1992. It took us two years to win it all, but that 1989-1992 teams were better than the 1995 team and 1994 team that went all the way and won it all as great as both of those teams were. The reason that the 1994 team won the Championship is that they were more determined to win it. The Todd Day and Lee Mayberry era teams could beat anybody if they wanted to. This game is a prime example.
That Day Big O Mayberry trio wasnt bad
lol, they had very, very few bad days.
Man those Arkansas teams back then were just so fundamentally sound. Didn’t make many mistakes at all. This was one hell of a team
Maybe the best team the Hogs ever had- taking down a talented Duke team
What happened to college basketball?
I think that was the best team. They finished 34-4 just blew a 12 point halftime lead against Kansas or they may have won the NCAA championship.
Exactly!!! One of the best teams in NCAA history to never have won a title. Was a diehard Hog hoops fan and it still eats at me that not one of the teams with Day, Mayberry and Big O never got to the championship game.
AAU basketball messed it up
There is like six first-rounders in this game alone. Grant Hill, Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner, Todd day, Lee Mayberry, Oliver Miller
@@graylonperson9012 Isaiah Morris also was drafted at #37 in the 1992 draft
This team would beat the 2022 Razorbacks like a drum.
Probably the most talented team Arkansas has ever had.
You know I'm of a MATURE AGE.......This was the LAST TIME I remember Arkansas vs Duke in the NCAA tournament.
This is the last one you remember huh? Well then you’re missing a very important one just 3 years later between these two teams lol 😉
But this wasn’t in the NCAA tournament this was earlier in the year. We lost to Kansas in the elite eight later that season
Awesome upload, never got a chance to see this game. Duck Fuke
Back before Duke starter their "SPONSOR" a referee $$$$ program
What network do you work for WarMachine? KARK? KATV?
Neither, just a fan!
did anyone get bored?
Arkansas always was better than duke. Problem was arkansas would choke and didnt know how to put away the big games. Arkansas should have played UNLV for the title in 1990, but our guys had the big head. This game was an example of what Ark could do when they got mad and wanted revenge. Trouble was they didnt always want it that bad.
I agree
Arkansas couldn’t carry Dukes luggage. Just look at their records and accomplishments over the past 30 years.
@@chrislara2961 Sure, since the mid 1996 ish on Duke has been superior to Arkansas, but in the late 80's early 90's they were not. Arkansas was 20 points better than duke on most nights in the 93-94 season. We just happen to play like crap in the finals and duke played WAY above their pay grade that night!
Exactly UNLV and Arkansas in 1990 and 1991 would've been LIT to see 🔥🔥🔥🔥 for the National Championship@@jtarman70
