I don't think you know how happy I am that you upload videos of these old Hog b'ball games. Good job Warmachine. This game in particular is in my opinion one of the greatest in Hog hoop history.
I was at this game. It was an incredible atmosphere, and who doesn’t like to beat Texas. 😎. My brother in law was at tonight’s game against #1 Auburn. He said it was the best game he has ever watched in person. For me, it was this one.
What's funny is I was 10 when this happened & I got upset cause I knew we lost the game so I went to my friends house down the road. When I got there they were jumping up & down celebrating the W in overtime. God I loved this team. I wish they had won a natty. Lee Mayberry & Todd Day are my favorite all-time duo at Arkansas.
My favorite game from the Day/Mayberry/Miller era easily. The 3 Mayberry hits to send us to overtime...legendary. To me, there's not another basket that comes close to that moment until Scottie Thurman vs Duke in 1994.
US Reed’s half court shot to beat Louisville in the tourney. Ron Brewer Sr turnaround jumper to beat Notre Dame in the consolation game of the NCAA. There are others.
@@Texashog11 true but I wasn't alive for any of those shots. Valentine's turn around to beat North Carolina in Pine Bluff was huge too. (I think I got the player's name right)
Around the 220 mark....the texas player was standing out of bounds when he rec the pass on the baseline.....one of a few blatant no calls....Nolan had seen enough on that phantom intentional foul at the end and said im out.....dont blame him one bit...WPS!!!!
There are no words to describe how fun those Razorback teams were to watch.
College basketball hasn't been the same for me in a long, long time.
what do you think of the team now?

This is an all-time classic.
1978 - 1996 The Arkansas Razorbacks were a kick *** basketball program.
Ron Huery was huge in this win.
Dosen't get credit for turning it around at AR. (See AR vs ASU in the NIT)
We almost missed greatness.
I remember that shot. I was dancing and cheering. I meet Mayberry in person at a funeral years later. He is a really nice person
1989/90 Big O was elite.
Strollin with Nolan!
Lenzie Howell was clutch and smooth as silk...he was one of the best pure shooters ever...
I know you can say this about a lot of player but if he would have been 2 or 3 inches taller NBA superstar
Loved this Texas squad! Blanks, Mays, Wright!! BMW!! The Ultimate Scoring Machine!!! 🤘
The Penders teams were by far the closest the SWC came to providing a competitive game for the Nolan teams of this era.
They went 0-3 against the Hogs that year

Crazy to think they would meet again in the Elite Eight

Nolan was The Man! Woo pig sooie from Indiana.
Wild to watch this, I mean basketball players could actually shoot the ball.
I still get mad thinking about that blatant bs intentional foul call on us.
Love to see Nolan walk off the court like that
That was Panama Myers best game 😂😂😂
THX WAR
Beat them again in the NCAA Tournament that year
Didn’t like how coach left before the game was over
who cares what what you like, nolan richardson is a legend period !!!
I was watching live and I loved it!
WoooPigSoooie!
Why was Cheryl Miller ever doing color commentary for men's basketball? Not good.
Cheryl Miller sucks at trying to do commentary for games, I guess they're trying to find something for her to do.
She’s good.
dividedsoulsent I mean she kinda had a point
@@markshelby7183 bet you suck at basketball though, crackkka boy 😂😂😆
she was beyond terrible
