Thanks so much, this was extremely relatable, and very helpful. this really hit hard, especially being a bigger person to solve a huge problem, and the gossip section. Thanks RZ!
It should be said that enabling someone’s abuse of you is not right because you are essentially supporting them in their sin. When Jesus talked about giving someone your cloak and walking an extra mile I think he was talking about showing your enemies radical love so as to touch their hearts and lead them to repent. We also have a general duty to protect ourselves. Christians shouldn’t be doormats. It’s a matter of prudence when to let people take advantage of us or not but holiness certainly doesn’t necessitate weakness. Forgiveness is primarily a spiritual and psychological act. It’s doesn’t require us to remain in contact with our enemies
I would recommend you watch his video, “Every sin explained,” where he explains every violation of the X Commandments. He says being stupid for God’s sake is an act of taking the Lord’s name in vain.
I think he's referring to giving into and giving special weight to wild speculation, especially when it causes unconfirmed slander towards someone. I think first and foremost a Christian should say what they know to be true and avoid spreading things they are unsure of. The thing is, conspiracies are real. A conspiracy is a group of people conspiring to do something, typically something illegal. We know for a fact that this happens all the time so to simply not talk about it is unwise. For example, Epstein was absolutely involved in some shady business and the handling of the case by the authorities just makes that all the more obvious, but to sit here and start naming celebrities that we think are involved would probably be wrong and a pointless endeavor. Other conspiracies that should not be given weight are ones like saying lizard people control the government lol other ridiculous things like that, coupled with someone hearing that you're a Christian is liable to make them think you're just prone to believing ridiculous and fanciful things and that Christianity is just another one of the make-believe things you believe. If you remain grounded in solid truth, that too will be associated with your grounding in Christ.
@paulnash6944 I don't understand? Some people say believing the illuminati is just a conspiracy, but no its true! People that are I the illuminati worship satan. Jesus is God❤✝️✝️✝️
Yay! Now I can finally not be a sad, friendless, typical genZ kid! Yeah, for real though, I've seen so many people that I probably could've been good friends with but I just didn't think friendships mattered enough to break out of my comfort zone to make them. It is definitely important to be intentional about making friends and being friendly because otherwise you won't have bery many, if any. You don't just stumble into people and accidentally form the kind of life long relationships that the Bible soeaks about.
11:00 Does this mean that as Christians we should be supporting more restorative justice and rehabilitation? I think this should at least start in the US with ending the death penalty which most other Christian countries have done so effectively.
You must have both because the Bible provides both, punitive justice reduce and limits evil. Restorable justice brinda mercy and helps the needy. The God of mercy is the same God of justice.
I would say that if you have a problem with someone and you want advice for handling the situation, it's okay to mention them (preferably not by name, but it can be more productive to do so sometimes) to someone else who is wiser in these things than you and is someone you trust with this secret. Edit: just make sure you get that advice. One thing I am concerned with is how many UA-cam channels are devoted to speaking of drama or controversy. I'm worried that it can easily become gossip or cause gossip.
"Forgive everyone no matter what" being stretched to "let people take advantage of you" is one of the things that made me fall away from Christianity for a bit. It isn't Biblical. Christ was dealing with Pharasees that wanted to execute theives and prostitutes, that context is important when discussing things like "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" or "if someone robs you give them even more stuff". The point of the first was "How do you know she's a hooker? You are her clientele." and the later is "Your earthly possessions don't matter enough for you to hunt down and vigilante this theif" If someone never pays back their debts to you, especially when they could, it is alright for you to stop giving them money. Most importantly If someone attacks you you CAN defend yourself. The Jesus Freak movement that arose out of the hippies has done a lot of damage to modern Christianity.
Gossiping falls under thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. There are 14 commandments we just split them up into 10 because it’s an easier pneumonic for kids. That’s why the Protestants and Catholics have a different list, they lumped the 4 extras in with some other stuff!
"Conspiracy theories are unchristian" because of gnosticism? This doesn't make a lot of sense. Conspiracies are just part of understanding how the world works. By that logic, any knowledge only held by a minority of people becomes "unchristian". Is being good at calculus, or being well-versed in some little-known aspect of history or metallurgy, "unchristian" and "gnostic"? EDIT: Look at it this way. Wwhat made gnosticism bad is the idea that there is secret knowledge related to salvation or spiritual matters. Knowledge about conspiracies is not like that, unless someone is explicitly claiming that you need knowledge of conspiracies in order to be saved. It's also not like "gossip", unless you think that pointing out what sociopathic corporations and corrupt governments are doing is "gossip".
I'm not quite sure how to go about the "problem with someone" part, as most of the people who I have problems with call me slurs. But yeah, good advice overall! :D Ty
@@escapefromthecityand just means you can start a beautiful thing and hope someone takes up the mantle for it. 2 months can also be a long time in a friendship. take it from someone who's been out of school for 8 years, its easier to have a bunch of friends in school, and be able to keep a couple (and my best friend now is not the one i grew up with, but he is one i made near the end of my school life and kept up the friendship with), than find all your friends you had only had school in common with you and you will never really meet them again. it will also provide fellowship for others to also provide them a similar opportunity
Hey man! I am a Christian and I love your videos! I was wondering if I could please get the IP for the server? I am pretty good at building! I am also working on a Christianity Minecraft mod! Thanks!
TIL, after finding a Reddit thread about RZ, that being biblical and actually believing in Christianity makes you a bigot and an extremist according to other “Christians” 🤣🤣 Also, great video my dude.
(This might sound like I'm trying to incite a radical response, or like I'm trying to enflame someone from this questions, so just read with sincerity please) So according to this view of constantly forgiving people( as it seems to have been defined here) what do you do about people in horrible situations, like a woman who is getting rap3d continuously, should she just continue to let someone take advantage of her or not. I'm just curious as to where this interpretation of the continual forgiveness cuts off and turns into forgive them, but separate yourself from them.
RZ mentioned this in the video from what I can remember. He talks about "active threats" and how being friends or showing forgiveness doesn't necessarily mean allowing such active threats to befall upon you. 5:54 sort of relates to this. There's also the Christian concept of justice. Justice still plays a hand in these situations, even though Christians are commanded to forgive. That's why Christians should forgive, say, a criminal who wronged them, but that criminal is still going to face the consequences of what they did, such as being imprisoned or paying a fine. For your example, that rapist will still get their due punishment, even if the woman forgives their oppressor. And I don't say this to make it seem like radical forgiveness is a fact in life or that it's easy to do. It definitely isn't easy, like in your example. I definitely would struggle to forgive someone who violated a woman close to me, such as a friend or mother, and I know it probably would be hard for them as well. Hope this helps.
@@junothepeasant Thank you for the reply. I guess this is a topic I need to work through more, it just makes me very uncomfortable, this line of cut off from forgiveness to forgive but separate, it seems so blurry and unclear when which is right.
@@junothepeasant i don’t get how it would be moral or good for someone to forgive their rapist. ive heard stories of so many victims being told to forgive when they go to a church member looking for help. can’t imagine the emotional turmoil that would come with trying to forgive someone who hurt you in such an awful way. i have a hard time understanding why forgiveness would be a virtue because of that. it takes pressure off the abuser and puts it on the victim. i genuinely don’t understand why christians would value it
@@babs_babs Well I need to clarify again, by Christians being called to radical forgiveness and mercy, it does not mean they forsake justice. The rapist will get their due punishment and the consequence of their action. So no, the pressure is not off the abuser, especially if the church follows fast to its teaching of rebuking, disciplining, and isolating an unrepentant sinner like a rapist. On the personal level though: This forgiveness is not just a virtue, but also a response to how God is willing to forgive humanity despite their continual rejection and betrayal of him (now, we might disagree God exists, I'm not here to argue that right now. But I'm setting this up because this is extremely crucial to the Christian perspective of why forgiveness is so important. Without it, the radical forgiveness makes no sense). It's not just the church saying "forgiveness give you points in morality" but that Christians must forgive because the Lord has forgiven them first. See the parable of the debtor servant. This doesn't mean the solution to the rape victim's problems is only forgiveness. The church community needs to support the victim through emotional turmoil. It can't call a sister who was violate to forgive if it can't take care of that sister. Despite the main point being that Christians are to forgive because the Lord forgives them first, I think forgiveness can bear practical and positive results: 1. It may be a factor in helping a victim be able to rise above the despair and emotional turmoil. 2. Romans 12:20. Such radical forgiveness (love) "heaps burning coals" upon the person who wronged them. 3. Forgiving can have positive impact to people around them. I'm reminded of the story Sara Weaver (from the family that was the focal point of the Ruby Ridge incident in America). Her mother was shot by a federal agent sniper during the siege, and her brother was also shot by a federal agent. Despite this, after the siege had ended and she went through years of emotional trauma and PTSD, she grew to forgive the federal government and those who had caused her such trauma, and began to tell stories of the incident in a way to promote peace and to try to prevent more of these incidents from happening. I don't write all of this as if it's all easy. To quote my first response to KadenGreen (the OP): "And I don't say this to make it seem like radical forgiveness is a fact in life or that it's easy to do. It definitely isn't easy, like in your example. I definitely would struggle to forgive someone who violated a woman close to me, such as a friend or mother, and I know it probably would be hard for them as well." And in addition, I can definitely understand it would be hard for someone to forgive if they were raped, or if they were robbed, or if they were attacked, or if they were insulted and their reputation was lost, or if a close one was murdered. It's not an easy command. But Christ does call those who follow him to carry their crosses like he did, and this may be one of them. A cross is a very heavy and painful thing to carry at times. And just in case, to reiterate, the rapist is not off the hook. Christian morality and justice says that rapist will get their due reward, whether it be from secular authorities, or the punishment from above if the rapist has no genuine and changing repentance. I think some churches are so heavily focused on a very fleeting version of Jesus' love, and forgets the very firm statements he made about judgement upon evil doers. There are also some churches who are very hard and cold and so committed about judgement that they forget Jesus' preaching of love and forgiveness to enemies and sinners, even though their sins are still abhorrent and bad. Jesus' forgiveness doesn't stop condemning evildoers, but invites them to turn from the ways that destroy themselves and others, and to turn to a new life of repentance and cleansing. I apologize for the long message, but I hope this may further your understanding of this forgiveness.
Fourth Rule is what I'm guilty of the most. As to the advice about guy friends: thank you. I do definitely do that, albeit I wish some would do the same for me. It is what it is.
you have to be a certain type of person for southerners to be nice to you. if you’re the wrong kind of brown, the wrong religion, or the wrong gender or sexuality, you do NOT get nice treatment in the small towns
I made most of the christian friends i've had online, but its for that reason I stopped and kind of fell off (there were other reasons to) dont get me wrong, having a christian friend group was some of the best times i've had in my life, but it came at a cost of being critically online. It came to a point where i was literally just waking up some mornings to hop on a game with my christian friends which was nice and all, but I felt I couldnt do anything on my own it was always be with my christian friend group. add that with the fact we mainly socalized on discord or played games like together while preaching the gospel in random games which usually ended in debates and arguments. I felt burned out. thats why I cant stress enough find christian friends in REAL LIFE and not just online. the online christian community is just different in a weird way...
Yep. Zoomer has also talked about it in a video of his explaining larping. Depending on what Denomination you follow has its own problems. For example "orthobros" online pose as gigachads, mascular, strong and lonely. Whereas, if you actually show up in a church you will see some skinny and not that physically strong adolescents and too few people actually aged up until 25. It is best when you live as a Christian. As much as you can that is... God bless you.
Dude stop saying that Midwestern architecture sucks. Here in Chicagoland we have an evangelical megachurch that looks beautiful (less so than it used to tho lol)
Being in a group and not being involved with anyone outside of your group. For example, you are a band member, you only eat with or befriend people in your band. Someone from your math class asks to sit with you because they are new and want to be your friend but you say no.
Maybe the real Christian friends were the friends we made along the way . . .

This has always been kind of a concept, Aristotle's friendships of virtue, etc. friendship is one of God's greatest gifts.
My school has a christian club but it's uh a little bit charismatic for my tastes, and I'm a southern baptist lol.
you prefer the uncharismatic christianity?
As the saying goes, always preach the Gospel, sometimes use words.
Thanks so much, this was extremely relatable, and very helpful. this really hit hard, especially being a bigger person to solve a huge problem, and the gossip section. Thanks RZ!
bro you should continue the series using shaders it would look so good fr
Forgiving and trusting are two different things. You can forgive a person who wronged you and never trust them again
Dude the Tuff Brick block set in 1.21 is gonna be so good for your churches
This is a beautiful video, thanks Zoomer ❤
Hello zoomer, I'm a new Christian, can you elaborate what you mean by conspiracy theories are unchristian? Thank you, love ur channel, God bless you
I would recommend you watch his video, “Every sin explained,” where he explains every violation of the X Commandments.
Indeed, brother
I can relate to you
Ive met those kind of people. And I understand how a lot of things work thanks to Jesus
I May relate 0:31
Dont Takeshi that serious😂
11:00 Does this mean that as Christians we should be supporting more restorative justice and rehabilitation? I think this should at least start in the US with ending the death penalty which most other Christian countries have done so effectively.
You must have both because the Bible provides both, punitive justice reduce and limits evil. Restorable justice brinda mercy and helps the needy.
The God of mercy is the same God of justice.
By the way, it’s God himself who ordered the capital punishment. What is critical I think is that the process is fair and just.
Another great video! Growing up in a Christian Home School Co-op is very different than your experience though XD But the principles still apply
Video idea what to expect at each denominations worship service
I would say that if you have a problem with someone and you want advice for handling the situation, it's okay to mention them (preferably not by name, but it can be more productive to do so sometimes) to someone else who is wiser in these things than you and is someone you trust with this secret. Edit: just make sure you get that advice.
One thing I am concerned with is how many UA-cam channels are devoted to speaking of drama or controversy. I'm worried that it can easily become gossip or cause gossip.
Can you make a video on the doctrine of eternal generation?
"Forgive everyone no matter what" being stretched to "let people take advantage of you" is one of the things that made me fall away from Christianity for a bit.
It isn't Biblical. Christ was dealing with Pharasees that wanted to execute theives and prostitutes, that context is important when discussing things like "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" or "if someone robs you give them even more stuff".
The point of the first was "How do you know she's a hooker? You are her clientele." and the later is "Your earthly possessions don't matter enough for you to hunt down and vigilante this theif"
If someone never pays back their debts to you, especially when they could, it is alright for you to stop giving them money.
Most importantly If someone attacks you you CAN defend yourself. The Jesus Freak movement that arose out of the hippies has done a lot of damage to modern Christianity.
I totally agree that midwesterners are the best people.
Gossiping falls under thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. There are 14 commandments we just split them up into 10 because it’s an easier pneumonic for kids. That’s why the Protestants and Catholics have a different list, they lumped the 4 extras in with some other stuff!
Christians are cool people, even thought i might act christian to make some christians friends
:D Ty
Just always talk about dragons
Idk how to feel about the “spill the tea sis”
I was with you until you said conspiracy theories are not Christian. We shine the light in the darkness by exposing evil.
I have only one friend, so I am gonna to try introduce these
Lol, I go to a Christian school and we don't even have a "Christian Club". I'm in the midwest too.
Get making one brother!
I mean, I don't think there would be much point on having a Christian club in a Christian school lol
@@Amfortas sister* and I would, but I’m graduating and leaving this school in less than two months.
Thanks!
12:15 I just read that in Luke ❤
Yooo let's goo! New Redeemed Zoomer video dropped, and only 5 hours ago too! Pretty rare in 2024! :D
My man read summa theologiae. 10/10 recommend. Side effect is Romanism so there’s that
Extremely true about gossiping
I've watched so many of your videos
I wonder how you know so much
This is a brilliant satire
TIL, after finding a Reddit thread about RZ, that being biblical and actually believing in Christianity makes you a bigot and an extremist according to other “Christians” 🤣🤣
Also, great video my dude.
Do we have free will in the natural world such as we can make decisions in Calvinist theology
Can you make a video explaining why every denomination has a different cross
I keep forgetting you're Gen Z, you speak with a wisdom that belies your age, haha
@@KadenGreen-si8fp No problem, and I understand. I also have difficulties understanding it/applying it to life at times.
Despite the main point being that Christians are to forgive because the Lord forgives them first, I think forgiveness can bear practical and positive results:
To quote my first response to KadenGreen (the OP):
"And I don't say this to make it seem like radical forgiveness is a fact in life or that it's easy to do. It definitely isn't easy, like in your example. I definitely would struggle to forgive someone who violated a woman close to me, such as a friend or mother, and I know it probably would be hard for them as well."
And in addition, I can definitely understand it would be hard for someone to forgive if they were raped, or if they were robbed, or if they were attacked, or if they were insulted and their reputation was lost, or if a close one was murdered.
"In terms of the architecture it sucks, everything looks like a strip mall" As a resident of the south, the same applies here XD
Is there a way to join the Minecraft server you play?
Just gonna say, the Christian-themed summer camp in the Midwest that I went to, people were awful.
Fourth Rule is what I'm guilty of the most.
As to the advice about guy friends: thank you. I do definitely do that, albeit I wish some would do the same for me. It is what it is.
This dude has never been to a rural Southern town if he thinks that Midwesterners are the nicest people.
you have to be a certain type of person for southerners to be nice to you. if you’re the wrong kind of brown, the wrong religion, or the wrong gender or sexuality, you do NOT get nice treatment in the small towns
KINGDOM CRAFT!!! WOOOOOOO
I’d better watch this
How can I join the server?
6:20 zoomer implies he is autistic (based)
I made most of the christian friends i've had online, but its for that reason I stopped and kind of fell off (there were other reasons to) dont get me wrong, having a christian friend group was some of the best times i've had in my life, but it came at a cost of being critically online.
God bless you.
very nice video
I have no guy friends 😔
What if you have no friends I’m in middle school and there are no other real Christian’s.

Cliquey.
A clique is an exclusive group with common interests that discourages any outsiders.
Wanna play modded minecraft and build with more various block amd furniture. Or i can help you build and spice up the area
Conspiracy theories aren’t unchristian. Deceiving the masses by conspiring against them is unchristian.
it's not conspiracy theory, it's just pattern recognition.
You're so young, you were in high school during the pandy. I'm surprised, thought you were old, and I'm old.
Dude stop saying that Midwestern architecture sucks. Here in Chicagoland we have an evangelical megachurch that looks beautiful (less so than it used to tho lol)
He's just generalizing. He has his opinion, but if he actually saw some of the beautiful architecture hidden here, he would be pleasantly surprised
What does clicky mean??
Being in a group and not being involved with anyone outside of your group. For example, you are a band member, you only eat with or befriend people in your band. Someone from your math class asks to sit with you because they are new and want to be your friend but you say no.
