That true is f3 1ton pickup it probably has the 221 ci flat he's in the late 40 Ford had a larger flat he's truck engine available it was 239 C.I.D flathead for f6 and other large F series trucks
The gauges are not hooked up. The wiring was so bad we just ran a new one to the coil. And coils can be run either way as long as there hooked up right. You are right though, old fords are usually positive ground, but this one was set up negative ground. Maybe converted?

You so do not know what the heck you’re talking about on these old Fords. It’s a 6v positive ground! You are toasting the coil and gauges.
