I feel like if you didn't read all the quest dialogues in runescape your really missing out on how runescape truly will feel to play when you know about the whole of gielinors world building it is absolutely amazing now to be fair alot of quests give dumb stories but it ties together with the world regardless.
Phenomenally captivating, detailed and informed. Could only conjecture at how long it took to assemble much less research. Fantastically bundled up and kept me engrossed throughout.
This video is amazing! Very well thought out and crafted like a masterpiece! I'm not sure which one you decide to do next but I'm sure whichever RS god you do next is gonna be a winner as well!
Mr. Felon, I really enjoyed your video and all the effort you put into it certainly shows. Your storytelling was so good, that at some point I put down my phone and just listened. I feel as though someone that can craft such a well thought through script that guides an audience has a deep desire and appreciation for finding completeness and answers in this weird place. Keep it up man, the osrs universe is beautiful
Fantastic work!! It's great to see so much attention to detail constructing a timeline like this; even down to the "why" and "how" that led to a violent God of Chaos being worshipped in Gielenor. A quick critique, I think the music was a little loud when describing Zamorak's Rebellion -- might tone it down in the next video so we can still hear your narration. Saradomin when? Big fan!!
I was halfway done with Sara’s video when I got a new pc and never transferred the files over. I’d hate to start over from scratch but I’m a way better editor now so I might do it anyways. Thanks for the feedback and noted! More coming soon man!
will be interesting to see how much of the RS3 lore OSRS will adopt, the team over at OSRS seems to be taking some creative freedoms changing certain encounters bit by bit. Which is fine, considering that both games are headed their own ways in terms of lore
I was a little uncertain about that with the Guthix video, but I’m pretty confident that almost all of this is canon in OSRS. I included a few quest references to help keep it grounded, talked about Skotizo etc. I’m excited too man!
Wow, this was so good dude. Very well done. The amount of work I can tell you put into this is astonishing! I honestly hope you are able to make some in the future on the other gods
Thankfully this time around pretty much all of this is Canon, except MAYBE Mah has never been mentioned in OSRS. This one’s pretty much confirmed unlike some of the Guthix video! Woot!
Thanks for the lore. I was always under the impression that Zaros had been weakened before Zamorak got him, and pictured it like the animated Transformers movie where Starscream dumped megatron so he could become ruler.
He was perhaps mentally weakened because of his internal conflict about Tumeken’s sacrifice, but as far as his physical power went, he was as strong as ever
This is phenomenal and sorely needed, Runescape has such incredible lore and you truly bring it to life!! Please keep up the amazing work, the world is much better for it :)
Amazing video! I always loved RS lore and there is a lot of it that people don't really know (spacebar warriors), it goes to show that even this low polygon game can have stories just as good as the other high end games out there.
Such a good breakdown. I knew some things but this really helped me piece together all of my random rs knowledge into one cohesive back story. Thanks for taking the time to make this! This makes me so excited for While Guthix Sleeps too 👀
Really good vid. As a gigantic lore hound it gets my seal of approval. Do you have any thoughts on what the dark altar is? or why Skotizo stole it? the altar possesses a form of "malevolence and sapience". It is not an elder artifact, but is tangentially related to one. I have a few ideas but dont want to influence what you may think.
amazing work here, and I can't wait for your deep dive into Zaros. I think he's often misrepresented as being horrific and evil. in truth though, cold as he was, Zaros had seen the Elder Gods, and knew their truth, that they only bred life in the universe to eventually destroy as a way to harvest energy for their offspring. His reason for wanting to be as powerful as an Elder God was to stop them from wiping mortal life out, and unlike any other gods, he believed they had a right to know the Elder Gods' plan. he didn't really care about social equality, just social organization so that mortals could organize without any other gods. I think that it's easy to sympathize with his thought, even if it went tragically wrong in many ways.
I've been diving into the runescape lore a lot lately and it's really so amazing to discover this vast world that was hiding right beneath our eyes all this time. With every video and book, more pieces fall into place, and i'm almot starting to think this has as much depth as the other great game universes i love so much. I've even started reading the books and re-doing quests in-game while paying closer attention to the dialogue and everything just makes so much more sense now... and it's all thanks to you and all the other amazing content creators presenting us with the lore we struggle to connect and make sense of on our own. You did a great job with the video! Keep up the good work, it's really appreciated and i'm sure it'll help to pull a lot of lore enthusiasts like myself into really discovering the depths of the runescape universe!~
So, since OSRS is getting While Guthix Sleeps this year, I'm assuming the Edicts are going to be broken before too long, and we'll see the gods return just like what happened in RS3
What a masterpiece, I’m so glad I found this video right before while guthix sleeps! I’m so deep into RuneScapes lore, a game I thought was just about drinking beers and killing zombies!! Keep it up man you’re awesome at this
OSRS/runescape lore is so under-represented on youtube, especially with such a high production value. we need more of those vids please!
Under represented in the game itself..

This must've taken so much work! Very well done video Josh! Awesome job! 🙂

I'm so excited for the Zaros video!!!
Phenomenally captivating, detailed and informed. Could only conjecture at how long it took to assemble much less research. Fantastically bundled up and kept me engrossed throughout.
one of the best and well put histories of gielinor out there
This video is amazing! Very well thought out and crafted like a masterpiece! I'm not sure which one you decide to do next but I'm sure whichever RS god you do next is gonna be a winner as well!
Love this video brother, gotta do more of these

Dude, this is fantastic! Really enjoyed it, love learning about runescape lore and this just gets it across so well!
Very very very well done video, great job!!
Bruh this is straight BUSSIN
Dude the algorithm has been giving me some new BANGERS to watch. Insta subbed!
I was planning to make a rs3 ironman solely to understand runescape's lore. I guess I won't need it anymore. Looking forward to the next lore vids!
Bro this is insane. Dope video
amazing video
So cool! I love the videos you pump out man, keep it up at your own pace :)

@@TheRSFelon Fantastic to hear! You're a blessing to Runescape Lorehounds everywhere 🙏🏼

Here before this blows up
absolutely love your lore videos. would really like a dragonkin deep dive video sometime if you get the chance!
More lore videos!
Do TOA lore please its really cool and TOB!
Crondis is so sweet for trying to save Zebak from Amascut, the devourer.
alright I'll watch this since I am lacking on OSRS lore
Hope you enjoy!
Amazing
Great job on this. Production quality is insane and the storytelling is very engaging.
Please keep doing this!
Saw you at toa the other day, for that reason I’ll sub
Great video. I love RuneScape lore! Subbing for more
Fantastic watch
well done man! that was sick! beautifully told!
Top notch, great job! Loved the lore videos so much and it's hard to find great ones like this.
Wow, this was so good dude. Very well done. The amount of work I can tell you put into this is astonishing! I honestly hope you are able to make some in the future on the other gods
Crazy captivating! You're a great storyteller. Hope to see a lot more lore!
so awesome seeing all these names pops up that I recognize and having a story put to them finally.
As an avid RS3 and OSRS player this was very beautifully done and you have done terrific work
best 30 mins at work ive had in a long time
Holy crap that was an awesome watch. Very entertaining
You've earned a sub. As a RS lore enjoyer, this is simply majestic!
This is awesome!
Thanks for the thumbnail!!
You're a beast for this Josh. I don't even care that it includes mainly rs3 knowledge. I like hearing about runescape lore.
Thankfully this time around pretty much all of this is Canon, except MAYBE Mah has never been mentioned in OSRS. This one’s pretty much confirmed unlike some of the Guthix video! Woot!
@@TheRSFelon I assume you be updating the Guthix video after the release of While Guthix Sleeps with any potential lore changes it might reveal?
@@sk8rdman yes I will!
Been waiting since the guthix video, 10/10
Awesome video. Didn’t think I’d be sucked into some RuneScape lore, but there you go 😂

Big RS lore fan, this made my heart swell in pride
This was so good. Keep up the work! Amazing quality.

Wow wow wow
I never comment on videos but this was very well made. Hope to see more of these.
That was great! I'm so excited for whatever direction Mod Ed (et al.) take the osrs lore in the future!
Such a good breakdown. I knew some things but this really helped me piece together all of my random rs knowledge into one cohesive back story. Thanks for taking the time to make this! This makes me so excited for While Guthix Sleeps too 👀
I’ve got a Guthix video if you want to check it out!
so good!
Hey man I just want to say that you are such a wonderful guest with the fellas over on PKA. Excellent video, as well. Keep up the great work, Josh.
an excel
Amazing video concept, please do more like this, Runescape lore is very underrepresented on UA-cam
Amazing effort, video goes hard, can't wait for more
Really good vid. As a gigantic lore hound it gets my seal of approval.

It’s got something to do with the horn I believe. I’m going through these fairly linearly but will form a better hypothesis a bit further on

Wow!!!!! What a video!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
Hard to find a good lore video which my adhd brain can follow 🤣
This one is so good, keep up the good work!!!
Great video! Insane how deep the lore is for most people to hit spacebar

Gods exposed has still forever skewed my perception of RuneScapes gods
I'm trying so hard to undo that nostalgic damage, lol
Now we just need a video on why Zaros is so much better.
And for Jagex to add a Zaros version of the Mage Arena 2 cape.
Thanks
Eyyy thank you so much!!
Good to see you posting. I don't have a lot of time for twitch, so I'm always pleased to see you on UA-cam.
Incredible video, thanks for the runescape lore education!
Great video, love the deep lore and insane editing. Looking forward to more RS videos!
You know, they made a fallout TV show, but a RuneScape one would be so much cooler I think
So, since OSRS is getting While Guthix Sleeps this year, I'm assuming the Edicts are going to be broken before too long, and we'll see the gods return just like what happened in RS3
In some way or another, that’s probably imminent
the devs are on record saying that won't happen. they want to go a different route.
Knocked it out of the park with this one, somehow even better than the first one =D Looking forward to seeing what's next ❤
What a fantastic video, you should be proud Josh😊
Loved this so much man! Huge Runescape nerd here! Loved you on PKA!
this was amazing
This and your Guthix video are fantastic, can't wait to see what you do in the future!
What a masterpiece, I’m so glad I found this video right before while guthix sleeps!
I’m so deep into RuneScapes lore, a game I thought was just about drinking beers and killing zombies!!
Keep it up man you’re awesome at this
Thanks for the beautiful comment man! Glad you enjoyed!
i find myself asking what i'm even doing during the quests, i promise this information isn't conveyed during them lmao.
my only constructive criticism is that this isn't longer
love the lore
Great video!!! i've never seen such high dedication on a OSRS lore video!!
wow love it!!!
Amazing video! Very well made
ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
damn i love lore.
FBI: GRAVEL?! GRAVELLLLL?!?!
Hahaha you know I thought about it when I wrote that line
