As a German I can say it's embarrassing how Germany is isolating itself together with Israel. All news is being censored but luckily we can watch foreign and independent news channels.

I have been to Germany over a dozen times. Germans are open-minded, logical and exceedingly polite. They do not deserve the guilt they have inherited from the past generation; a guilt that is being systematically & methodoically reintroduced into their culture. I recall visiting the Dachu Concentration camp there in 2009 and again last year. The place was unrecognizable last year; it was not the desolate place with a few visitors anymore; it was full of school buses and large groups; new signage and exhibits; it was so busy I left early. The invocation of the Holocaust is understandable, but its use to condone this cruelty we see handed down by Israel is itself another crime.
I will never forget seeing Germans showing up at train stations with flowers and sweets to greet homeless immigrants; and I can’t imagine how heart-broken those Germans must now feel to see Germany is complicit in making hundreds of thousands of other people homeless and broken.

It seems likely that the current German government was essentially installed by the CIA. They are certainly behaving that way. The issue is one of intent. That is what distinguishes civilian death in war from genocide. 1 person killed with the intention of destroying all or part of an ethnic group is genocide; 1 million dead in a war of legitimate self defence is not, unless there is the requisite intention. Israel's stated aim is to destroy Hamas and get the hostages back. Hamas' aim is to destroy Israel, and to continue with operations similar to Oct 7th until it is destroyed. The claim that Israel is committing genocide can only be sustained if you believe that no civilian should ever be injured in any military operation. That is not the law. Look at 4th Geneva Convention Article 28. I make these comments because it is important to think clearly when people are dying.
