It is truly astonishing how little research writers nowadays have to do. Want to write a corrupt cop? In the old days that would require you learning what makes a good cop so you would spend several days or weeks interviewing cops. Going on training courses for a day. Finding out how the job works, what procedures they have in place, maybe learning a little bit about the law and then using that as a base to start with and in the show you slowly show the laws and other things get in the way based on the interviews you've taken. Maybe show the bribes they're all taking. Maybe show the reason they're having to take bribes. Another often believable reason is seeing so many lowlife scum get off scot-free or the boss is an asshole.
However nowadays even a toddler could write a bad cop as all they need to do to be bad is scream and shoot at random people. There's no logical or emotional reason for them to do so. This is exactly how a child envisions a bad guy.
But that Swiss guy only learnt about how cops worked by watching other shows and trying to rewrite everything by memory with his own bias as how they should work to make his main protagonists as broken and plot armoured as possible 🤣

Why not have cops or agents or loan sharks showing up extorting money from the residents for ridiculous rent payments or constantly increasing interest. Prince John rather than an actual king could have been a loan shark "King of loans" who is making life hell for everyone. Robin stands up to him and we're slowly introduced to the gang. John recruits a "Sheriff" in charge of collecting his tax after getting robbed. BAM! A modern re telling that sticks to the original moral.
It never fails to amuse me how SJWs always write their heroes as if they are villains.
Because technically, all great villains believe they are doing the right thing… and technically we would have a hero or protagonists… but lately most shows are anti hero shows… aka anti Christ, anti moral, anti accountability… see the trend ?

I actually really like the white guy villain. He is based af. Seems like he genuinely wants to do the best most logical decision to make the city a better place. I'm starting to believe a secret conspiracy where shows like this are made for the sole purpose of giving youtubers some absolutely amazing content to put out....because for the life of me I can't come up with any other explanation for why this show exists. I understand Director No Talent wanting to make it but.....other people signed up for this. It was funded, written, filmed, staged, acted, and in the end the only people who will profit from it are people like Az. Fucking brilliant
Sadly, the reality seems to be far more banal and exponentially more insidious. These companies consistently hire useless narcissistic activists to make everything, apparently as part of some wider corporate strategy correlated to ESG scores with the intent to sabotage the IP/brand/Western culture. Those they hire are guaranteed to fail, these useful idiots will inevitably piss of _absolutely everyone_ no matter what they say or do, and the globalist bigwigs in charge get plausible deniability (at least in theory) when the project fails/they finally decide to pull the plug.

This is in some ways a self insert by the writers and director. The seem themselves as Robyn, who by every metric is a villain, and create a caricature of a human being as the villain, yet make him less villainous than the protagonist/unintentional villain. Their sense of morality is so skewed and they have no self awareness, it's actually terrifying. These are people who make choices that influence the world, and as you can tell by their worldview, it is terrifying.
So how exactly does shooting down the drones this time not lead to people being arrested for attacking/vandalizing police property? When there would be multiple covering where the shots came from.
As someone who is heavy into fitness AZ is looking great these days. You can definitely tell he has lost a significant amount of weight.
When you were talking about fixing the villain characters, it reminded me of how they did the villains in (the far superior) "New Jack City."

Missed opportunity to make Lionheart the brother of John Prince. In the actual Robin Hood story, Prince John convinced Richard to go fight in the crusades hoping he would die or at least not return before John could consolidate his power. If John Prince had somehow orchestrated Lionheart being killed by police, that would be an actually villainous act. Instead, we just get a guy who's done nothing truly wrong and is so cartoonishly mean that he ends up being the most likable character on the show.
The protagonists worship their own vanity. Everything is "look at me, I'm unique, special, keep looking at how special I am" - they just take all the oxygen out of the room. No ideals. No plans. They only want power. They are no different from the villains. Also, the show doesnt understand property rights or that the police report to the government. Its just insane.
They've hilariously missed the entire essence of Robin Hood. A mythic character of the people fighting against extreme taxes and government oppression. Symbolically he was the self-sacrificing will of the people, the fighter who represented the genesis of forming democracy to replace a tyrannical monarchy.

I think you’d have to explain why that particular hand motion works and why it doesn’t work for any other movement of the hands as well as what skill is involved in the remote hacking so that it isn’t just magic but I do agree that the execution is almost always what matters more than the idea.
Not to crap on the idea, but why do it if it's not needed? Was this robot formerly a human and it's a force of habit? Is it programmed into them?
I'd either make it simple and say they are connected wirelessly so no movement is needed or they have to remain stationary while accessing an external system.
