    You need to teach your grandson to slide his right hand up and down the sledge hammer's handle while he swings for better control. You were doing this. The same technique applies for swinging an axe. Someone had to teach us when we were young. Thank God for help from youngsters with lots of energy and healthy backs!

      Correct. I showed him that early on, but he would revert back to swinging from the end of it. Considering how much he weighs he did a pretty decent job 😊

    Yes! I had a fence contractor teach me this. It even works with underhand 'girly' swings (my words) it just takes longer. I really like posts like this-you never know how many hours of backbreaking work you saved someone. ]
    Loved to see you teaching your grandson. There's nothing like quality grandparent time.

      If you leave the pipe hanging from the tractor you get better vibration and it take less hitting .Also leave it over the hole and the chunks will fall in .Leaving less to pick up.

    We have the 96 gallon waste containers, if it fits it ships - layed the container on down and rolled the pieces inside, then used a block and tackle setup in the tree to stand the can upright.
    I feel if the truck doesn't bust a hydraulic hose its alright, some snack cakes for garbageman doesn't hurt either.

    • @BIGALTX
      @BIGALTX  Місяць тому +1

      Wow… I would’ve liked to seen the faces of the drivers when the concrete hit inside the truck. It probably shook them a little bit 😊
      I’ve been known to put some things that are “unconventional“ in those cans too.

    I love videos that show how to do basic things well. And it's good to tag them like you did, too, so people can find it.
    I had to look up how to get gas out of the gas can and into my lawn mower. It's not as though I haven't used a gas can before, right? And the new "safer" ones are simple enough that it seems no one bothers to put the instructions on the packaging, but I looked at that thing and could not figure it out. Luckily someone had done a You-Tube.
