9th Wonder needs little introduction. Known as one of the most prolific boom bap producers // beatmakers in the music industry today, 9th Wonder has had one of the most sought after drum kits on the internet.
The Drum Broker teamed up with 9th Wonder to get the exclusive distribution rights to his personal drum stash. 9th’s Kit consists of 100 hand picked sounds (Kicks, Snares, Hats) & also includes an SP-1200 (12-Bit) version of the drum kit.
This joint is a must have for all 9th’s fans or any producer looking for some new drums for their arsenal.

I like the fact that he sticks to his signature sound instead of trying to follow trends
9th is soulful
I completely respect that. He does have a signature sound, and I always enjoy his production value, for example with most recent big tracks, Duckworth was one of my favorites off of DAMN. I appreciate artists like Kanye that push it as well with going from College Dropout all the way to MBDTF. Keep the soul. Keep pushing the boundaries for the genre and more.
Thing about 9th's beats are is that it's rather simple. Nothing to technically complex, or intricate. However, his ears for sound is amazing. What really "sucks" is that, this is something you can't bite. He has very good ears for samples and sounds that distinguish him from your average beat maker. I mean if you think about it, I think most people online have everything he has and more material wise to make beats. But even with the same sample, it won't sound as soulful or dope.
this btw is also why a lot of people (at least initially) didn't believe him using fruity loops/fl studio. probably as in "but I use the same program and it doesn't sound anywhere as good". well, the daw you use plays some part - but also a lot of it is how people utilize it.
xxxaragon iam using fruity loops too! Its not about the program, its about feeling the music and hearing out the right sample and then to do what i have to do. Producing dope music! Check my beats and the flava and then tell me fruity is shit. It isnt my friend :)
amazing he got to where he is today on that sheer talent
I don't think his chopping style is so easy....
@Emiliano Johan shut up
I like 9th wonder. His beats are simple and not overly complicated. Just a sample, kick, snare and the hats.
*StarTheKidd Beats Bass
+IAmTrackSide who gives a fuck about complicated though. 9th makes beats that'll rock any party
IAmTrackSide nah it is not the without the scratch
If you mean he makes it looks easy that it sounds simple? Then yes. But I tried to make beats like his and I realize 9th's rhythm patterns are crazy complicated and it's even more complicated than today's radio beats! 9th is more Godly than you think
What i love is how raw and unrefined his beats are. It sounds fresh off his mind, not something that's been passed around from a group of producers looking for the right sound that will resonate with a wider audience. This is true soul and hip hop. 9th is the best
I like how he mentions THE most underrated producer out there in Kankick. If you've never heard Kankick but love 9th, Dilla, Madlib and Dibia$e and so on, check him out. Especially since it's about to be summer, I feel like summer is when Kankick shines the brightest.
Bre Rob word Kankick is the"Truth"

Good kit from 9th..... i bought it will put it to use
***** Industry producers share their drum kits with each other very often. And what does "keeping it real" have to do with purchasing a drum kit?
AJ Wise HIT ME UP ON MY EMAIL we could trade drum kits if you interested i got every new on out now Therealstercity@gmail.com
Sterling Smith Check your email fam
***** That's your opinion and that's what you like to do and that's great. But big name producer's use other people's drums on a regular basis. They may tweak it to their liking but like I said, industry producers share drums with each other. At the end of the day, who are we making music for? Other producers? Or the consumer/fan/listener? The end listener does not care where the drums came from or even how the track was made. It either dope or its not.
***** And of course its a shortcut. That's the whole purpose, to save time.
Please re release this
Man there's a lot of Maschine converts, and an increasing number of MPC Ren users

이수용 That's a machsine
So I'm not all too familiar with 9th wonder I know he's famous in the beat game but what makes him stand out? He says his process is quite simple that he just feels what he makes as he makes it, I feel like a lot of producer produce this way, how he did he blow up off the same process or stand out?
+DJ Nekst He got huge in the underground scene by just dumping a whole load of instrumentals on youtube for people to listen or spit to. Listen back to them, they got alot of soul..
+DJ Nekst listen too all his other works from like little brother on and after OutKast, Little Brother got me hooked on boom bap hiphop. Im still stuck in the good music days 93-05
2:05 fredathump
What's the Machine he's using at 2:52?

Sample 1:33?
What's the beat or sample at 2:44? It sounds familiar but I can't think of it
Jean grae love thirst
*love thirst
I thought 9th Wonder was using FruityLoops? It seems that the software he uses is Ableton Live.
No....Maschine.
true it Maschine by native instruments
He still uses FL from time to time but he jumped on the MPC several years ago and recently Maschine.
Basically whatever he gets on... he smashes !
KnockSquared Exactly!!! But I kinda had a feeling he was gonna join the Maschine community eventually, because I figured Khrysis put him on to it.
he so stoned lmao
Sample at 0:25?
Not Enough by Little Brother.
Select sounds for niche constructions indeed.
Wats the beat at 0:55??
tell me where
What is the beat @3.15
Its over. its on the leaky beat vault
not the murs and 9th wonder one
love 9th but does he have to introduce himself as a grammy award winner every single time??
+Robert Calkins Yes, yes he does.
+Robert Calkins wouldn't you? lol.
+Robert Calkins Not sure if he does it every time but this video is taken from his documentary The Wonder Year. So you know your introducing yourself within your official documentary how are you not going to mention you won a grammy?
+ENG Yea i get it. But I have to say, I'm a big big fan and while i was obsessed with this guy watching all the beat vids available --- he says it almost every time.
+Robert Calkins If I had won a grammy making beats dawg, I say that shit every fucking time.
1 30 beat please
"Smoke The Pain Away"
How come most of the bro's videos about the equipment they use are just of them sitting around TALKING about the equipment and their career??? No offense, but honestly - people wanna see the Maschine and other equipment in action!! No one comes to these videos to hear people TALKING about the hardware and TALKING about how they got started, and who they made music for smh. I did a search for "Maschine" - not "9th Wonder" .
However - I notice that when I click on videos from these white dudes.... they just on there slammin fingers and kickin out these OUTRAGEOUS BEATS that sound like a whole orchestra!!! THAT'S what people are looking for... SHOW ME HOW YOU ROCK ON THIS THING... STOP TALKING!! smh.. White folk KILLIN IT tho.. damn, some of their shyt is amazing. I'm a bro, but I still gotta give em props. They throw out a greeting, tell you what they about to do - then just FREESTYLE some amazing shyt for the next 3-4 minutes! ... NICE!!
THAT'S what makes me wanna buy the equipment... not someone talking! :-\ Come on bro's!!!
check out his rythm roulette
Yeeaahhhh...!!!! NOW WE TALKING!! LOL :-D NICE ONE BELL!! I was wondering why people seemed to respect this guy "9th Wonder", and why he even named himself that, but after watching "Rhythm Roulette" - Now I get it... very creative... NICE beat skillz, and that made me want to buy Maschine! :) To take those 3 lame albums and come up with those sounds.. Very slick! Thanks for the advice.. :)
why no one single comment? This clip is dope right?
sos drogaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
I guess he stop using FL Studio.
foxybrown2 He mentioned in another interview that he still uses it from time to time but it's not his primary beatmaking tool anymore.
His beats were better on fl studio
Love 9th, love drum broker… this kit was disappointing.
He looks depressed
lol of all people to be selling drums. dudes drum programming sucks and those kits are super fake sounding.
Yeah he sucks so bad that he's been around for years and has produced for Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Destiny's Child, Erykah Badu and a whole bunch of other people that a lot of us part time beat makers dream of producing for...it's crazy how awful he is. He sucks so much that I wouldn't be surprised if one of these stupid Ivy League colleges called him up and asked him to teach or something...wit his ol' sucky self...
***** lol yep i think u nailed it! Dude sux right! & for who said those kits sound super fake! Ha...ppl need to know their history before they start talking sh!t on UA-cam. Do your research on 9th b4 opening you mouth & looking like a fool lol....Here is "true" talent at its finest in front of your face & yet ppl still talk sh!t. Trolls GTF outta here. You wish you could as good as this man
JokerMansBeats hes got the chop game down but my drums are definitely better than his.
WLG1 it doesnt matter who has better drums or not, what matters is how the beat sounds...also i dont get why some of you beatmakers/producers talk major shit on another. yea 9th wonder is a dude that uses the same drums and his style is noncomplex, but is it really necessary to criticize someone that way? some people should tell him he should step it up a notch. that overly criticism is redundant fam
9th wonder is dope the kit is trash though
These drums were ass and were no way the drums he uses.
