+James Logan but the artist has to make the music come alive and create a visual for the laid canvas it's a relationship can't have one without the other.
+Estrada Beats Yeah its really not even close, the artists are just the ones born lucky tbh. You have to have a unique and good voice to be a rapper, most people just don't have that. but you have to work your ass off no matter what as a producer, you can't just get by from natural talents.
"Machine Gun Snares" I like how he put that... He gave Lex Luger his props for that sound,2 totally different production styles but a real producer can recognize a winning sound. Salute Jake One's humbleness...
Drake shows mad love to people, IDC what you say about him.. He credits EVERYONE who helps him in his albums, he pays everyone nicely.. It's funny Meek talked about "ghostwriting" if he payed attention Drake even put the guys name on the album so it's not like Drake is saying it's his in the first place. Obviously Drake is doing something right, he passed the BEATLES for MOST TOP 10 HITS ON THE BILLBOARD 100, Meek doesn't even have a song in the top 100.. And the music Drake puts out is most of the time fire, I've never seen a singer/rapper besides Lil Wayne put out so many consistently fire albums, like every song hits.. The man has an ear for music.
+Devin bear-re considering you only got 2 likes, what youve just stated is pure shit, drake feeds off everyone without crediting shit... Hotline Bling is really CHA CHA
Man I miss making beats daily going crazy with it. Graduated had to get a job and now have no time to myself to even make beats. I remember watching the snare Jordan series to keep myself motivated some years back.
That gospel sample shoots flames from my speakers. I can go a month without thinking about it. Furthest Thing is an amazing song. Drake is the last talent phenom to enter the game. Nobody beat him yet. Jake is murder.
if we’re being real, drake sucks dick… like for real. in comparison to numerous mcs that preceded him, such as common, rakim, nas, and tip, drake is a shitbag and it’s not even known for sure that he’s written all of his songs
thank you, for seeing it as it should be seen. but what will really get you, is give 10 producers the same sample and listen to 10 different interpretations and 10 different resulting beats.
trufe4 I want to believe it works that way but making a tune is way more unique with a given drum-kit to 10 different producers. That said if they all claim the drum-kit in their music as their own it would be plagiarism to the manufacture of the drums. So the unique thing of a tune by such "drum-kit" could be a base or a synth lead is to how the producer builds it manipulating the sound for a specific tune. You're allegedly stealing that snare sample and would steal it by the unique behavior from how it fits in a tune how the original producer made it.
+Niko Bobich You right! But like the other dude said hes been doing this for a while. But at the same time it don't matter what age you are to start anything! (maybe not a rapper lol) but most things in life take time. People are handed different cards in life. I respect older people who followed their dreams, over young people who quit on their dreams. Word Up.
+Niko Bobich brah there's so many producers in this world.. HAve you ever listened to Rock and Roll? Country? Mostly all of those producers are over the age of 40 yrs old.. You ever heard of Rick Rubin?? Rick Rubin is the co-founder of Columbia Records and Founder of Def Jam records and American Recordings, he's 52 yrs old and has won so many awards I can't even remember (Album of the yr a few times) he's worked with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay Z, Beatie Boys, Run DMC, Johnny Cash, Metallica, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Slipknot, Eminem, Kid Rock, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Jazzy J, Linkin Park, ZZ Top, Weezer, Black Sabbath, Action Bronson, Slayer, System of a Down, Mick Jagger, Danzig, Green Day, U2, Niel Diamond lol I could keep going.
Jake One has me appreciating artists that maybe I wouldn't otherwise. I've been obsessed with the beats he's done for Rick Ross recently. I really wanna master the use of toms like he does. You gotta study the greats! Know your hip-hop history 👊
i really fuck with this dude but in all his videos, he acts like he just happen to stumble upon producing, and jus nonchalant about everything, its hilarious
JakeOne is such a dope producer. Can't tell you how many times me and my homies had roadtrips and just freestyled over the instrumental disc of that White Van Music!! Rarely see the guys but I still got both the blue and the white discs in the CD wallet and this channel to continue to inspire me
jake one is such a talent. this video shows that, not only that but drakes dedication to making legendary hit records that remain timeless, and 40s genius in crafting a sound around an artist. everyone take notes, keys to success right here,.
I wish Drake and 40 would of just increased the tempo instead of increased the pitch of the choir and piano sample , the original version sounds so much more powerful
Bro i gave up on music due to a bunch of mishaps and let downs this video makes me dig deep and keep pushing music is my life this is great great idea i had many years ago been making beats since mtv music generator And wish i stayed at it would of been marked my foot in the sand of the music game from a producer point of view i now have been inspired to let my Problems pass make my life dream a REALITY be know for my great talents And passion I have to make sure the world hears my 🎶 soul my mom passed and told me before she passed do motivational speaking music will help me speak to the masses GOD BLESS YOU!
Jake One doesn't want to tell the where the sample came from because he doesn't want to give the original any publicity which is understandable, considering how greedy they where.
I believe they asked for an amount they knew they wouldn't pay. They probably didn't want their music associated with Drake. It is a Gospel Record, that probably plays into it.
Dudeguy no sample snitching was said because they weren't clearing the samples. So by not saying the sample it was less likely to get caught. Nowadays you have WhoSampled and the sample is usually credited.
OTF_Trillz WIth the digital tools available today it's almost impossible to hide your sample without distorting it greatly. You're best off just trying to sneak by or getting it cleared.
A good lesson in lost opportunities caused by greed...that original sampled record could have cashed a nice pay check after reviving their music after how many decades of collecting dust. But of course, they needed more money. What a shame. SMH
How is Jake One the most humble producer and also one of the hottest producers at the same time? He seems like such a cool person. Dude is amazing. One of my favorite producers of all time.
Producers are the real artists in the studio. They're the ones actually gluing the material together.
+James Logan but the artist has to make the music come alive and create a visual for the laid canvas it's a relationship can't have one without the other.
+Zairrion Davis nah i dont think so.. producers work way harder and actually make the vision come alive.
+Estrada Beats Yeah its really not even close, the artists are just the ones born lucky tbh. You have to have a unique and good voice to be a rapper, most people just don't have that. but you have to work your ass off no matter what as a producer, you can't just get by from natural talents.
+Connor Van Winter at the end of the day , no one is just going to listen to a beat all day, and no one is just going to listen to someone rap all day
+Connor Van Winter you cant have one without the other
"Machine Gun Snares" I like how he put that... He gave Lex Luger his props for that sound,2 totally different production styles but a real producer can recognize a winning sound. Salute Jake One's humbleness...
Whenever I watch how the beats to such dope records are produced, it makes me appreciate the music that much more.
Exactly. You stay to get an idea and inspired. Now you know why what came after happened.
GIVE JAKE A GOSPEL SAMPLE AND HE MAKES HEAVEN
King David you are sharper then a damn pencil.
ONLY if he finds the "evil chord" lol....
"this the life for me, my mama told me this was right for me"
💪🏾
Hits me in my soul every damn time. This beat just feels amazing. Especially in the original tempo.
Jake one is the man responsible making john cena theme song!
JOOOOHN CENAAAAA!!!!!
its jooooohn ceeenaaaaaaaa
NO FUCKING WAY!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE PRODUCERS DID THAT?!?! 🤣🤣😭
Chaos made the beat
What's funny is when I first heard that being used I said "I bet Jake One made that beat" I was right lol
dudes drums(patterns) are impeccable
The sample comes from the original song " hold on, for we're going home" by the Corinthian temple cogic choir. Beautiful song
THANKS

+Devin bear-re whats he paying?
+Devin bear-re only his last two albums are fire. the rest are borderline trash
+Devin bear-re considering you only got 2 likes, what youve just stated is pure shit, drake feeds off everyone without crediting shit... Hotline Bling is really CHA CHA
+ItsOnlyShift You discredit what someone says based on the ''likes'' they get? Majority may do something one way but it don't always make it right.
ok
Came here for some music history, left with all the drum kits. Thanks Jake.
This beat is crack. Imma jake one fan now. This beat won me over
3 Kings he broke that down here too
Man I miss making beats daily going crazy with it. Graduated had to get a job and now have no time to myself to even make beats. I remember watching the snare Jordan series to keep myself motivated some years back.
Keep going!!🫵🏾
Get back on it bruh. I went through that same exact situation. I just got me a laptop and FL Studio 21. I'm back on it 🔥
Crazy that one drake record will have you paid forever, I know myself I listen to NWTS all the time
always with nice hats
That gospel sample shoots flames from my speakers. I can go a month without thinking about it. Furthest Thing is an amazing song. Drake is the last talent phenom to enter the game. Nobody beat him yet. Jake is murder.

What song is it
damm i thought it was all sample ... thats crazy him and 40 are great man ... to recreate that is crazy
Mikal Jones 40 didn't help replay the sample. G Koop did, 40 only added to the album version.
Still one of my top 5 beats of all time!!!! This one sounds waaaaay better than the one on the release!!!! Thank God for you Jake One 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I love this part of Furthest Thing
This video gets me motivated every time I see it.
I love the process, it's so intriguing...many different sounds combined to create one great sound :D
thank you, for seeing it as it should be seen. but what will really get you, is give 10 producers the same sample and listen to 10 different interpretations and 10 different resulting beats.

Just Blaze vibes. Not taking anything away from Jake One. He's a GOAT for this beat.
Still one of my favourite beats ever.
FAXX
this guy proves u can do producing at any age u dont have to be young...

One of my favorite producers.... So talented and humble!

@@r0mediddy eh ig but to me he jus seems humble af

It really is
Such an amazing song that I listen to constantly! Thank you Jake!
jake one is such a talent. this video shows that, not only that but drakes dedication to making legendary hit records that remain timeless, and 40s genius in crafting a sound around an artist. everyone take notes, keys to success right here,.
So smooth, this one! Love it.
Don’t know what it is about this lad’s voice and beats, but every time I watch these videos I get goosebumps!

You helped Drake create one of his best songs!
I always listen to the original track right after watching these videos. Dope!!!
Those drums! Are sick man!! Nice video awesome brat and, again very interesting to watch, 1 keep m coming
I had NO IDEA Jake One did this track!!! Sooooo DOPE!!!!!
he made it on pro tools too.. jeezz. this man deserves a medal.
+JRLM pro tools is an amazing software. i dont know what ur talking about
+Harold Hong Making beats on pro tools is one of the most frustrating things ever.. for producers there are MUCH BETTER programs..
INDEED. I prefer Ableton for producing...
what you mean?
its not the is software its the mind behind the DAW
whats crazy is that this beat is only like 10 sounds. and it sounds dylon with just those sounds.
This is one of the best beats ever, so slept on
Jesus that sample is crazy,I loved the way he used it Fireeee
Love Jake's whole style. Humble dude. Keep cookin up that soul... one day im going to be one one of his joints..
I like this better than the album version tbh, this one hit different
Thank you for this bro- this is the best part of the album🙏🏽
thanks for this videos Jake, every beat is different and dope as usual!
Crazy that this was 8 years ago!!
I wish Drake and 40 would of just increased the tempo instead of increased the pitch of the choir and piano sample , the original version sounds so much more powerful
Those drums sound so beautiful
Bro this beat was beautiful.
Had this sample in my head for hours finally found it
great sample! great beat. my favourite off NWTS
THIS THE LIFE FOR ME.... MY MAMA TOLD ME THIS WAS RIGHT FOR ME!!!😫
One of the best producers out, dope drum kit too.
did anyone else go "drinking, smoking, f@#$ing, plotting, getting money" when the beat kept playing...or was it just me
Haha I did it too bro.

anthony alvarez all the more reason not to tell. There's a reason 1990s DJs created the "No Sample Snitchin" rule
Dudeguy no sample snitching was said because they weren't clearing the samples. So by not saying the sample it was less likely to get caught. Nowadays you have WhoSampled and the sample is usually credited.

YO!!! Jake UNO!! We need a Snare Jordan Stimulus Kit. #stillbangin

Nice to see stories behind the beats by producers
You're the man for this beat!
Love this story bro real inspiring Thank you
That beat is so dope bro
beat is so fire
Is anyone else upset that this wasn't a full length song? I always skip the first part of Furthest thing.
I like the first part better that beat is smooth af
I do the same thing. The minute the song hits 3:06, I turn my volume up xD
For real!
The whole beat and song is a masterpiece idk what you say. Master track put together lyrics, vocals and beat!!
Classic Drake move using two epic intros combined into a memorable line "hope long this nigga waiting for the intro?" The boys calculated
How is Jake One the most humble producer and also one of the hottest producers at the same time? He seems like such a cool person. Dude is amazing. One of my favorite producers of all time.
One of the best producers ever.
Most underrated man in the world of music producers.
They could've made a good 50% by just let the sample being used. Too bad for them haha.
TRU THAT
ITS gospel maybe..so that could play into it
I know right! dumb
Sometimes its just about the music. The money doesn't matter.
yea plus it sounds like a gospel joint to be honest and the owners probably don't want their stuff associated with whatever drake might rap about
bro you made that wow man I love that beat👌🤘tx
Wish Jake would come out with these more often.
Jake one is one of the best producer ever,I love her beats
