Yea this is not a 5min type program here folk......these need to be 30 mins at minimum.
moneyman2200 Well it’s a sample after all.
Tell em bro! I’m trying to learn!
I don't mind. It gets to the point.
😂😂
As someone whose producing and idolize some of the greatest to ever do, I can mos def say it's not a 5 minute process. Sometimes you create the idea and come back and have a whole day of idea making. Other days your creating like 6-13 beats a day. If I have the full thing in head, I put it down. Usually takes like 15 minutes. But thats like maybe 10% finished. Depending on how you start and the complexity of the beat.
The drums on “Show me what you got” My Godddd 🔥🔥
Tony Royster jr.
@@wesleysnipes8554 Bam Alexander played it 1500 or nothing
Sickening
The best to ever do it. Hands down.
20 years of pure goosebumps
“Show me what you got” is one of my all time favorite tracks! I got chills when I first heard it. Blaze killed it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
They needed to give Just Blaze a whole Hour, he is really a beast
Whoever does the visualizations for these... well done!
Show me what you got still give me chills!! Them drums INSANE
This video is dope more videos of music producers like this. Ryan Leslie, Timbaland, kaytranda etc ...
programming software is not musicianship. ringing ears and calloused hands are good signs.....
I vote for kaytranada
rob slover dude are u going to comment this everywhere? U go do it and be better than all those mentioned above and just and then come back and critique
@@missgigip repetition is a good learning tool. a lot of mouth breathers around....like people who make makeup tutorials....
rob slover watch the 9th Wonder one
Jussssstttt blazzzeeee
no.
rob slover lol 26 likes for that
More like "Just Blaaaayze"
Was hearing this even back in the early 2000s when i was still a kid! Dude is a beast on the mpcs!!
He’s a genius...misunderstood a lot but that’s the price for greatness. I would pay for that show Just Blaze....
Love the way he makes his beats sound so human and natural, so you just cant tell there automation behind
I love everything Just Blaze has put out but without a doubt his most meaningful work to me comes from his collaboration on NBA Streets Vol. 2. Nothing but pure, raw sonic energy the entire play through. The level 2 game-breaker beat still gives me chills. No other video game experience gives me the feel that that one does and it's been 17 years! Much love and respect big homie JB!
FACTS 💯💯💯
Just Blaze productions are so organic and feel like there is a marching band playing it live. Bombastic.
Just Blaze is in my opinion, the greatest hiphop beatmaker of ALL time... his joints are timeless and have endless replay value..."What We Do" is IMO the greatest sounding hiphop recording ever made.. JustBlaze cooked up amazing joints for JayZ, Kanye West, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Cam'ron, Saigon, Jay Electronica, Memphis Bleek, Dipset, Joe Budden, Fabolous, Maino, Eminem, Beyonce, T.I., etc..he's produced some of the greatest artists greatest songs...
“Show me what you got” is speeding music.
“Show me what you got,” by far is one of the greatest Jay Z song’s I’ve ever heard
Madlib next
Yes, Madlib! Man, this show is making me miss Dilla, R.I.P. Would have love to seen him on this.
Madlib in this kind of video? I mean he already don't like to listen to his own stuff so...
If you can even get a hold of him lol. Plus I think he's the type of magician to not reveal his secrets
Madlib lib isn’t a real person. He’s an alien who only appears every blood moon.
I like Jay Electronica's new album, but it would have been amazing if Just Blaze had some heat on it.
I love that album also. I was so disappointed not to see Blaze on there.
Yeah these cats aint workin for fishheads and rice no more and that mighta been what it came down to...
Album needed a batter mix as well. Just Blaze and Young Guru, engineer, could've took that project to another level sonically. That project sounds like a glorified mixtape, as far as quality of beats and mixing.
Michael Brown Young Guru did engineer it
@@BaltzerBoy yup. the mix is fine imo, typical grimy lo fi hip hop. i could have done without some of the jay electricity beats though
So we just gonna pretend that hat brim isn’t extra large...
Bruh that is true duck bill 😂💀
The yankee with too much brim
killed me
@@Wurk__ beat me too it loool, you got a fireplace blaze? Throw that hat in there man 😂
When I started watching this video I was hoping this comment would be in the comment section thank you for not letting me down
Segment's cool, but they forgot or omitted the fact that TLC's "Diggin on You" is the sample used for "Hovi Baby." That's a great flip by Just Blaze, and Hov's rhyme schemes on that joint are next level. Btw, never knew 1500 or Nothin' played the instruments on "Show Me What You Got." That whole production/musician squad is so dope.
The age of the creator. Our new focus on production is what waves we're on from here on. Deliberation and procedures matter. God bless these creative geniuses.
He says "last but not least" after the second track....give us all the tracks NPR! This one should be 10x longer
Love this NPR!!! Thank you. JUST BLAZE FOREVER!
I loved this!! Wish it was a longer video, thanks NPR
“What we do” is still my favorite Just Blaze junt.
Just Blaze is a GOAT and the visualisations in the video are immense.
Mr. Phillip The GOAT of what? Sampling? No sir...The Goats of that belongs to J. Dilla and Madlib!
@@Angld003 came here to say this. People throw around the term GOAT for everything now. It has lost meaning
Great video effects on this
I love this series, but they need to be longer. I could watch hours of this.

WOW! I THOUGHT THAT WAS A LIVE DRUMMER! I was trying to get into the game in NYC as a producer at the time when Hovy Baby came out. Just Blaze and Bink Or Bink and Just Blaze, WERE REALLY LIKE THE PROGENITORS OF THE CRAZY DRUMS, TOMS, WILD CYMBALS, HIP HOP PRODUCER RECORDS. I have a track that's DIRECTLY INSPIRED BY JUST BLAZE! Kinda off kilter like Hovy Baby, Wild Drumming/Cymbals, ETC. BIG UP TO JB! ONE OF THE GREATEST!
Just blaze make the best out of a simple sample
Should've been at least an hour long

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PRODUCERS since like Marley Marl and Pete Pete Rock after Marley.
Bink! needs his just due on here
Some say Just Blaze jacked his whole style 🤔🤔🤔. I can't call it tho. Bink's an underrated legend tho. That much I know.
Legend!
The rulers back beats is 🔥🔥🔥
Bink Dogg! Real Talk! Those 3 joints he did for Rick Ross on the "Rather You Than Me" album was straight 🔥 among other joints he done overall like Freeway's "All My Life" and Amerie's "Paint Me Over"
Bruh 1-900-HUSTLE my fav beat of all time, would love to watch a breakdown of that
Goose bumps
He really likes horns. It’s like a signature in his beats.
Living Legend! So underrated!
Some of those drum things he’s doing you’d need a neal Peart level drummer for...
Rip Neal
Kudos to just blaze
Wow ....dope he played the drums on the mpc that hovi baby record....dope tlc sample
I like how Just couldn't help but hit the air drums when Show Me What You Got was on and I can 't blame him. I was hittin em too.
I would def go see that tour
The Freedom beat is soo DOPE!
Just blaze makes iconic records
Please please do more
MadLibs, Swizz Beatz, 9th Wonder. 30 mins at least. Lets go!
🔥 samples after in hip hop sounds 90's wise made me more in love with movies comedy action drama also music before my time to look back at the real roots ex. rhythm and blues jazz r&b soul etc etc.. 💯
SL Smith check out The Meters - incredible New Orleans group who has been together for a LONG time. Very well known to us in the music industry. The rhythm section is out of this world! The tone is to die for. Which is why The Meters (and Leo Nocentelli on drums, then Russell Batiste, Jr. in the later incarnation) get sampled so heavily! The one live album they have, Life on the Queen Mary - that’s a great place to start. 😊
@@JenDoe1 r&b singer amerie used samples from them I think beyoncé used a sample from them.
S/o to NPR and Just Blaze for this one!
LEGEND!!!!
My FAVORITE producer.
I I lovvvveeee these!!!!!!!
That Kaleidoscope samples DOPE!! Raw as Fujj!!
Good samples, good Polo 🏇
Amazing beats!!!
His cat remix on that meow the jewels was dope, so so dope
