    I always appreciate your no-nonsense, VERY practical survival & prepper vids, James. It's good to have modern prep-tech but, as you've pointed out many times, we need to know the 'old' pre-power ways. Folks were able to live pretty well back then, in spite of circumstances, with a little know-how and ingenuity.

    I bought one of the solar panel charger kits (without the power bank) on amazon back in october 2023 for 75$. I used it several times to charge my phone while out camping, it worked great. Solid product for sure

    Thank you. I am trying to do research to find a solution for camping at festivals where running a gas generator is not ideal. Like when it is lunch time and hot. A fan and an option to charge cellphones is all I need. I still have the gas generators to power the camper but middle of the day when everyone wants a snack and a place to relax, not the best time to be burning gas in the generator just for a fan. Sure my refrigerator is already on my camper's battery power but my camper is in low power mode the outlets don't work unless I'm running the gas generator...... This was already at the top of my list but your review helped clear up a few things. Mostly in the department of I know jack cr__ about this stuff.

    Awesome base unit, James. Very nice detailed coverage. But as for panels, I'd prefer figuring out how to wire my two 50W solar panel units together. One is a folding wallet, the other is a lightweight flat flexible panel. Could you do a video on that, please? Namaste'.

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching and for the suggestion! However, I am not an electrician even though I know something about electricity. The most important thing is to have the right connectors for your specific units and know how to wire them either in parallel or series for the task at hand. That would be something that you would have to research on your own as it would relate specifically to the units that you have.

    0:27 I ordered the set 5 days ago when this video first aired and received a email order acknowledgement. The Unit arrived yesterday... Well, the power unit arrived no solar panel and no invoice. I'm Disappointed that the only way to contact the company is email or the contact point on their website. Which I did today... So wait and see if they come thru or initiate a claim or return unit... Only have 2 weeks for that though... Can't go camping without the solar panel so I guess I wait them out for a while at least...Well now I've been trying to get a reply to no avail tried both E- Mail and the message board in their website, gave them my order number explained the problem no answer this will be day 6 since I contacted them. No phone number listed is a total pain. No way to get an RMA or return address at this point I'M NOT A HAPPY CAMPER...

    How durable are the panels?

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  7 місяців тому +2

      They are pretty tough! Of course, I wouldn't stand on them or anything but for general use they should last quite a long time.

    • @Wanderer5891
      @Wanderer5891 7 місяців тому

      So if they are stowed in the pack, it’s not going to get “crushed or bent” out of shape? Or just anything to damage and lower the charging capabilities of the panels. It’s crazy how much power you lose when you lose one cell!

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  7 місяців тому +1

      @Wanderer5891 I think that as long as it is properly folded and stowed they should be fine as long as you don't step on it or put excess pressure on it.
