    i just received my jjn 200w panel yesterday. had complete cloud cover real dark clouds. i got 20-50w out of them in this condition. today sunny and got 150-175w out of them. i live in west part of Indiana and im surprised how they work. new to solar this is my first panel. i have the same bluetti eb3a and it keep charged. i had a akhal-teke fridge plug in full of drinks and keep charge even in the dark clouds.

    NEVER go over the voltage limit. You need to stay well under that limit as volts increase as temperatures decrease and will burn out your charge controller. It will "handle" it as long as the volts are below the max, but you are playing with fire by plugging it into a power station that can't handle the volts. You can over-amp because amps are pulled, but not over-volt as volts are pushed.

    Hope their packaged better then last year. Packaging was just plastic corners and no styrofoam or cardboard inside. Both sides were completely smashed. They naturally gave me a refund and told me to keep it. Just sick I didn’t get a chance to try it.

    I am doing exactly what you are doing, EPEVER 40 amp and two of these panels. I already have 4x 190w panels but they are only producing around 400 watts total at 24v setup. Batteries are also put together in series for 24V. I am just going to try and get close to 1000 watts with the one charge controller. So how is your setup since you posted this two months ago?

      I find the controllers seem to work better with a voltage input on the higher side. 3 of my JJN panels in series would be ideal for the 4210 controllers. I'm still getting overvoltage alarms, but not as often. I have decreased the settings further and this has further decreased the overvoltage events, but not 100%. I think the problem is that when the battery nears 100% charge and the voltage is near its limit, if there is a sudden increase in light like when the sun emerges from behind a cloud, the controller doesn't respond fast enough, allowing the momentary surge in voltage triggering to alarms on the inverter, charge controller, and the battery BMS. I suspect that's why a lot of people switched to the more expensive controllers like Victron, which I understand respond faster to momentary changes in power input. I'm not quite ready to switch, but I might depending upon if I can further tweak the settings satisfactorily. I'll redo the video when I am done testing the new settings.

      @@arnoldsolof I have recently tried another controller Acopower 40A mppt controller and it is similar to the Epever 4210. I had alarms go off only when my settings were incorrect for the voltage, 12V or 24V. I was losing connection on the 4210 and I suspect it was a bad connection at the controller due to spade connection which I have since removed. The spade connections connections came with the controller so I used them but they are crap. I purchased the Acopower because I got a screaming deal on Amazon, New but used deal. Missing temp wire in package which I did not need. I just purchased 4 more JJN panels so now I am using both controllers and no alarms or bad connections. Cheers......

    This seems like a great panel. I would love to test it. You are the first reviewer of it other than the manufacturer. Thanks for posting. Do you know how it does in cloudy conditions? How was the packaging? Any issues? Thanks.

      Lit, It does well if the clouds are not too dense and the light is evenly distributed over the panel. A dark shadow over even a small portion of the panel drastically reduces the output of the panel and any connected in series (but not parallel). The packaging is a single cardboard box with 4 foam corner protectors inside. I expect rough handling could easily damage the panel in transit. I have 2 of the panels now. I put protective tape on the box corners and repaired any tears with the tape. I also reinforced the foam corners with protective tape. The box, which contains a carrying handle, makes it a great way to transport the panels if you want to use them in a portable application. I will probably get a 3rd panel so as to connect the 3 in series (about 23 volts maximum power point each). That string should be close enough to parallel with my 2 - 300 watt 24 volt panels in series (about 36 volts maximum power point each). To do that, I'll have to increase my battery system from a 12 volt configuration and replace/upgrade my inverter. The result should be 1200 watts.

      @@arnoldsolof Arnold, thank you so much for all the additional information. I’m glad you know how the panel reacts in partial shade. I Always fear that is too nerdy of a question to hope anyone could answer. I currently mount a 100W panel on my SUV that I am considering replacing with this panel. I really like that it is biracial. It should help on lower light days or times. I wish it had better partial shading performance, but it might not be that much different from other panels. In any case, thank you again.
