This single edited video from the previous videos about the history of JR's family history origins is a very good and perfectly timed action by you.
This is a time we are wondering after bringing in the country's first ordinary people's government(if we ignore the 1956 Bandaranayake experiment), where would this NPP government take us in next five years. Right now the NPP government is giving a confusing message of being a conservative, liberal and sometime remotely radical government, but all three at the same time. But, not really even remotely radical of course, except their most recent circus of how they started the new year 2025 with a "Clean Sri Lanka" project where they started cleaning the buses and tuk tuks, rather than the political system or the crooked, criminal politicians of the previous government. That is only IF we can call the act of cleaning bus drivers and tuk tuk drivers as radical. No doubt it is a good idea to clean up the buses, tuk tuks and the drivers because they seem to be killing more people than the wartime Sri Lanka.
Watching this single long video might be able to wake up the folks who are either sleeping for too long or who have very little understanding about the depth of the sewage hole we are stuck in right now politically, economically and culturally due to the extensive destructive work of post 1977 governments.
The massive project in the hands of Anura and the NPP team folks is unbelievably difficult and there is no way they are going to get a single thing done via a conservative approach. Nobody's banking on radical measures, but most certainly creative and timely approach is a must.
This NPP government does need and will need guidance from people who are armed with historical knowledge as in this video. Protecting this NPP government is also depending on that history knowledge, because we do know the history can repeat itself in regular cycles.

Are you aware Kaariyawasm has quite a few books published? The book "Thambi Mudiyanse" has more detailed accounts of the material in this video as well as more details of his sources of information.

I think these historical records of what was going inside Pilimathalawe's head were speculations of history writers at best. By the time of Rajadhi Rajasinghe's reign, the resentment among some of the Kandyan chieftains about the long reign of Thelingu speaking, modern day Andra Pradesh originated royal lineage would have reached its emotional climax. Immoral behaviour of kings of sleeping with women who were wives of their chieftains or other aristocrats, could not have been rare. It was very likely the resentment of Pilimathalawe was primarily political and rather less personal, as it was the case for many other Kandyan chieftains who betrayed the last king and colluded with British colonials in the most historically foolish and damning ways.
What we can learn from the carefully analysed history is the need to accurately assess who was the national hero and who was not. Kandyan traditional aristocrats like Pilimathalawe, Ehelepola, Rathwaththe, Keppetipola and many others were no real heroes but traitors in most ways. Why they have become like that can't be understood by that era and political situation alone. We need to go back to the history further back before European colonial arrivals, which means quite a few centuries before the year 1500 AD.
Kandyan chieftains behaviour was shameful at best if we look at them from today's point of view. However, I suspect that the political stupidity wasn't the only factor for their traitorous and treacherous behaviour. Desperation as well as centuries of degradation if Buddhist cultural values would have played a major role.
We can come to such conclusions by studying the enormous number of Sinhala young lives slaughtered in a precisely, genetically targetted ways during the suppression of Uva-Wellassa freedom fight of 1818 against the colonials and the local Sinhala crowd who participated in those mass muder of their own people.
No doubt that the Kandyan chieftains and local Sinhala crowds themselves participated in the genocide of Uva-Wellassa massacre, even though the key order came from the colonial governor in Colombo. History has an inherent nature of repeating itself. We can understand that by studying the military-political conflicts 1818, 1848, 1971, 1987-90, LTTE and more.
Going back to Maha Adhikaram Pilimathalawe, he couldn't have been alone in that conspiracy to assassinate king Rajadhi Rajasinghe. Some other chieftains would have been involved. Historical records need to be interpreted by taking into the account of human behaviour patterns. After all, we know not to take the historical records in Mahawanshaya too literally. Filtering out rubbish from truth or truth from rubbish is a long tedious process.

Rajapaksa's came from modern day Malaysia. The first "Rapajaksa" changed his Malay name to Sinhala to get into politics as well as Anglican Christian to Buddhist. Only after gathering some wealth like the way Thambi Mudiyanse did though. Bandaranayake's, Rathwaththe's and similar aristocrats carries on the lineage of traitorous Kandyan chieftains who betrayed the country and the king to colonialism.
Jayawardane's, Rajapakse's were better British colonial servants because of their recent foreign origins. They did not have the genetic or cultural legacy to wanting to die for the country, but to "die" for the fattening up their bellies.
This is the dark history we need to know, but would rather forget or not know, a mental condition for most folks of Sinhala populations.

This is the dark history we need to know, but would rather forget or not know, a mental condition for most folks of Sinhala populations.
