Stress, plays a great part in an athletes performance. there are many kinds; I will list some: Classroom stress, Personal stress, job stress, track workout stress, weight room stress, eating stress.
You really explained everything for me. I'm a football player⚽,I love lifting weights too. I became slower but more stronger. I'll include sprints too. I'm a defender💪🏽 a Right Back,so I need pace. And I'll try to reduce my bodyfat percentage. I bulked up a little(fats included). I'll also work my core and albs more
Ive been running track for a long time but never took it seriously till now but it just seems like I can't get faster no matter what drills and weightlifting I do
I play wide receiver and I’ve been trying to get faster. My legs are way stronger now and I have been working on stride frequency and plyometrics but nothing is helping what should I do?
If your injured always train around the injury. For example if you have sprained ankle you can still work core, upper body, unilateral excercises for the legs etc.... if you can get with a Physical therapist to get a rehab program going to fix the injury properly.
True indeed however I find that most of the time when I find an athlete who is working hard and not seeing results it's due to the type of training they are doing. What are some other factors you think?
I use to be really fast then all of sudden i did what this guy did and im just slow. Example i run a 4.9 40 yard dash. But my 100 is 13.42 but again i did get alot stronger
Yo litteraly idk i am not getting faster but i am at like 14% percent body fat and got some muscle i have been doing alot of sprints alot of pyometrics daily for the last 3 months but just i am not getting faster at all

Sprint mechanics and proper sprinting is key.
Good stuff!
Thanks brother!!

That could be for various reasons. We'd have to look at your training regimen to see what's going on.
@@coachrob5228 We mostly do wicket drills and 150's for about 4 days of the week and 2 days to weights
@@truet9201 do 10s-20s-30s
i’m a receiver and i run track and lift but i can’t get faster, i’m running the same 40 over and over again
What type of lifts are you doing? How are your sprint mechanics?

If your stride frequency is better then you need to work on ground contact time. Also what type of of lifts are you doing? Where do you train?
What if I have been doing the gym part running and still not seeing results?
Jonathan are you doing the sprint mechanics? What type of runner are you and what type of running have you been doing?
What if im injured but still can lift?

Stretching also ?? At my club we don't stretch so much..
@@relaxingbeverage7720 not here to be funny but do you do a dynamic warm up?

This is your daughter Camille
Get off your mom's phone!! 🤦🏾♂️

And also i am the most mobile in my team
How is your hip mobility? It'd not about the muscle but how well and how fast the muscle moves.
I ignored the gym part . Definitely a regret !
Yeah Coach that's my thing to get more track athletes lifting appropriately!!
