That brings me back a few years - many days spent at the wheel of a 4600 with a PZ mowing for hay & silage.
Excellent job Alan - keep up the good work.
Thanks very much. It's a pleasure when you see sights like that!
Nice video Alan, great Ford!
Thanks Jan. It is, too!!
Superb video Alan.
What a way to spend his days, pottering round dropping a bit of grass with classic gear.
Love the ending where he disappears round the corner behind the wall. I'm putting that down to some top quality editing!
That's nice of you! I could get quite jealous , too.
I love those wee fords there a well made tractor!!!!
They are - last for ever!
this is really fun. when I was 14 years old I was also mowing this way
Yes, indeed - the driver was also having fun, I think!
Nice video , I like the old ford tractors!!
Many thanks, me too.
Used a Ford 3000 for 25 years for ranch work and winter logging in Montana. Front axles were the weak point. Otherwise, a great tractor.
Yes, indeed!
Nice one Alan. That Ford looks mint! I can remember you texting me saying about it.
Thanks Tim. Yes, it was a real "find".
Nice one Alan.
Thank you, Niels.
US classic tractor! Nice
Thank you, Ben.
I've done that on a Massey Ferguson 35X and a Fahr mower. Not nice when you suffer from hay fever.! Miss it all though,😯 Although it was quite a relief when one day the mower drum fell off at the head land and it couldn't be fixed that day!
What colour was the exhaust pipe on your 35X? Genuine reason for asking!
It was bought at the time in 1990 ? And had been fitted with after market parts when it was bought ( now the tractor has sadly gone ) but I could be wrong but I would have say it would have been simmler to a 23c engined when Massey Ferguson replaced the Standard 23C in about 1960? engines with Perkins. I do know the 35 Perkins ( not the 35X) had That type of exhaust with the clamp attached on the top of the silencer for the attached pipe.on them. Sorry couldn't help you there but You could Try the The Farming Fourm website under classics or someone has bound to have posted film footage of their farm in the 60's ( in colour of cause ) or even dealership stand at a show on utube even in colour.
Yes that's the way I like it (and the way I do it meself) Nice video!
Thanks Ian. It's a good way to do it!
no ROPS!!!!!!!! on sloping ground!
'Course not. Tractors without have been around for 100 years! You don't HAVE to turn them over!
Great tractor Alan! My uncle has one too.
Thanks Hans. Do you get to drive your uncle's tractor?
No not at the moment. But, I can ask him next year:)
Very nice.
Thanks Brian.
