It all started when Bella grew boobs. But really though. The Disney star wore a cute new pink ensemble to a New York Fashion week event. Of all the images of her looking fly that were captured by paparazzi, it was a pic of her in a particularly compromised position, in the middle of talking and lifting her arm with her shirt riding up and a generous amount of underboob being exposed that Perez Hilton decided to repost. And he reposted it with the caption “Fill in the blank. Bella Thorne” dot dot dot. Many of her fans think this was a thinly veiled lure for people to slut shame or body shame her. I mean, he literally invited people to comment on her look. Pretty obvious if you ask me. Luckily, there is hope in humanity even in the internet. Her fans took to Insta and twitter and did fill in the blank. Calling her sexy AF, confident, gorgeous, etc. But Bella still had some choice words for the controversial blogger. She tweeted “You know I love you p but I think it's kinda rude to use the pic my shirt is riding up and I'm in the middle of talking. Esp when there's a lot of great photos. Kinda seems like you want more people to pick on me. :( if I wasn't sad enough about it already. And then you tag charlie and like other guys on my body trying to start drama and trying to make me feel disgusting..like they own my body.” In response Perez pulled a Trump flip flopping on the issue. First, apologizing and then declaring he’d do it again. A fan even commented “Dude, don't you feel bad in the slightest to be posting pictures of a 19-year-old girl who you know will get attacked just to get attention?” To which he said “no.” And that’s when Bella really lost it. "YOU WOULD DO IT AGAIN!?" "R u serious? Yeah you would like posting a photo of Ariel [Winter] in a bikini to get views on a podcast?" Because this week Perez made an Instagram post promoting an episode of his podcast with a completely unrelated photo of Ariel Winter in a bikini as the image. #ClickBait. Finally, Bella concluded the altercation with a message she hoped would hit home: "I hope no one does this to your daughter.” Dang. On Perez’s end he replied, “HOW is saying 'Fill in the blank! @BellaThorne _____" me making fun of her?" It’s not him making fun of her. But of allllll people, Perez Hilton understands how the internet work. How gross comments can be. So to post a pic of someone’s body and then literally ask them to comment on her body, he knows will definitely invite at least SOME insults. He’s not the guy saying them, but he’s the guy creating an opportunity online for others to say them. He’s inviting the problem. Don’t you think? It'sAngel Defending yourself has nothing to do with confidence within yourself. If someone said random bullshit about me i would defend myself and obviously prove its not true. I wouldn't do it because i'm not confident, but i would do it because i would want that person and other people to know who i truly am. Bella probably has the worst time because she is famous. If someone doesn't reply to a comment on instagram or youtube when you aren't famous then its no big deal. But if you are famous like her then everyone expects a reply or else you "lost the battle" with that other celeb. When you are in the public eye you kind of have to/should reply to a critic spreading rumors or drama. Because then people will be like "Oh she isn't saying anything about that rumor so it MUST be true". and then you will have this crazy bad image. It's especially mean when you know that Perez recently had a "realization" during one of his podcasts where he remembered that Bella's dad died last year (or earlier this year? Either way: recently) and so he thinks that probably has a lot to do with her "acting out". He was saying how everyone is a little off at that age because you're trying to find yourself and transition into adulthood, let alone if you've lost a parent, right at that time, it really messes with your brain. HE EVEN MENTIONED how he understood her more since remembering that he'd recently passed (or since making the connection between that and her big change in behavior), especially because PEREZ LOST HIS FATHER AT A YOUNG AGE TOO SO HE CAN UNDERSTAND AND KNOWS THAT EVERYONE GRIEVES DIFFERENTLY & EVERYONE DOES THEIR "CRY FOR HELP" DIFFERENTLY AND HAS DIFFERENT WAYS TO SHOW THEY'RE HURTING. He literally said those things (paraphrased, obviously I don't remember word-for-word) BEFORE this incident where he posted a picture.
She is who she is, and honestly doesn't bother me at all because everyone (or like, 90%) goes nuts at that age in one way or another... or in a combination of ways lol... I know I did. The major difference is that I hadn't been WORKING & SUPPORTING MY BIG FAMILY for my entire childhood & JUST SET FREE (from Disney) RIGHT AT THE SAME TIME I WAS ENTERING ADULTHOOD... AND then had the trauma of losing a parent before age 20 on top of everything else that everyone faces at that age. So, if we say, "He's/She's so young, He'll/She'll grow out of it" and make excuses for our relatives, neighbors, and frankly, ourselves SOLELY because we're at that weird 19-23 age where up is down and down is up... SURELY we can excuse Bella Thorne who's that age PLUS lost her dad recently PLUS worked and supported her family her entire life PLUS was basically kept under strict rules her entire life (between the responsibility of working alone PLUS the "rules" Disney has all it's talent follow). She's not doing anything so bad, & when you take everything into consideration (like her being a child star ALONE if you look at the "statistics" of those before her) it's actually pretty amazing she's not...
Honestly, people just love to drag down someone successful who is beautiful and talented the SECOND they have a little personal life and/or career mistake... and we all know it stems from jealousy and that whole "I can't stand she walks around thinking she's so pretty/great/cool/whatever" feeling. At the end of the day, what has she done? Worn crazy, barely-there clothes when she's got a great body and is young enough to get away with it??? Hooked up with a bunch of hot young Hollywood folks (living the dream, if you ask me HAHA)? DRESSED like a raver (we have no proof she actually does Molly lol I'm sure she does from time to time, but again, most NORMAL people do that when they're 19)??? Like... she hasn't had any *major* scandals (Literally her biggest scandal is openly dating around. Big deal.), hasn't had a DWI or other arrest, and even if she DID use/abuse drugs, it's obviously not out of control enough to keep her from being able to work (because she's done 3 movies this year plus a tv series plus a song)...
She's just the person everyone decided to pick to make themselves feel better... which is ironic because she's someone who has dyslexia, had to fully support her family financially as a kid, is open and honest about basically everything, and seems to work hard... if anything, she's kind of impressive.
It's funny because I've always kind of liked her (I'm too old to have watched her on Disney as a kid, but when I was a teen I remember seeing her on TV while flipping through and thinking she was so pretty) but I am only writing this huge defense of her because I'm honestly starting to feel bad for her. And also because if she were a man, she would be thought of as a playboy or something... maybe they'd still pick on "him" but it would be kind of respected. (Justin Bieber only got hated on so bad because he was another one who people were just waiting to see mess up... out of jealousy mainly... and because he had that cocky attitude that made you want to put him in place). Oh well, I rest my case.
