It's really a good film that kinda makes you think about the bigger picture of who we are, whats our purpose, and who is our creator. I know i am being vague, but I do not want to spoil anything for you. should you decide to watch this film. Keep on being amazing......

D1CK AND JANE is a good Carrey film as well. Carrey in his prime element with goofy activities, fantastical faces, phenomenally entertaining. For a good life lesson, try TRUMAN SHOW. and YES MAN. Other great Carrey films.

This movie put him on the map. in the same year two othe carrey movies were released The Mask and Dumb and Dumber. policeman Emilio was played by the then popular rapper Tone Loc. Melissa played by up and coming actress Courtney Cox (who first appeared in the tv series friends and featured in the Scream movies).
This and the sequel are Jim at his kids netic best. The Cable Guy and Me,Myself and Irene are funny, but definitely run darker. Eternal Sunshine might be his best straight up performance.
If you enjoyed this, you will love the sequel. It is by far the superior film. However, you may or may not want to watch the Stallone movie "Cliffhanger" as there is a pretty big reference to it.

Still phobic towards gender-nonconforming people and pairs such with ableist assumptions, and like movies like Silence of the Lambs or Psycho before it, doesn't exactly do anything that the larger society wouldn't shallowly associate under the same umbrella.

Great reaction as always! If you want to see Jim Carey in a role where he plays it a bit more straight and less zany, check out The Truman Show. He still gets his moments, but they're toned way down from what you've seen so far. It's worth watching just to see a different performance from him, but it's also just a very good film in general.
Will add my own endorsement to the serious part Carrey had in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and the semi-serious one he had in The Truman Show. Both terrific movies and he was awesome in both. He was also great in the Andy Kaufman biopic Man on the Moon, for which he really committed to the role of Kaufman.
Man on the Moon shows Jim can completely inhabit another character and The Truman Show shows Jim's dramatic flair. Great Actor, love how completely unhinged and wild He gets! 💖💖💖🤣

A fake Eagles mascot maybe. (They wouldn’t be able to use a real one) I’m sure the comments will be filled with suggestions for Jim Carey’s well known dramatic acting roles. Both he and Adam Sandler have made some of the best drama movies ever made. Generally speaking, really good comedians can act really well in serious dramatic roles, often better than serious actors.
The mascot Ace was beating up at the end wasn’t for Miami it was for the opposing team, the Philadelphia Eagles, which, as a Texan, I’ll proudly say was one of the best bits of the film! lol

You should definitely watch The Number 23 with Jim Carrey. It's a thriller movie. Not his usual genre, but he is great in the movie.
