17:28 Arrow in the rover bay - Ігри
ADDENDUM: The arrow can fit into the Carrack's scout bay. You have to make sure to do (2) things. First lower the landing gear and Second you have to point the Arrows nose so that it's facing the inner doors that are located within the scout bay so that you can get to them once you've exited out of the Arrow.
I DID FIND ONE ISSUE WITH THIS: If you despawn the ship and call it back the Arrow will appear in the scout hanger with its wings up and landing gear down. If you try to open the hanger bay doors the Arrow will wig out and eventually start to clip into the Carrack. I tried this thee times in a row and every time it resulted in the the Arrow sticking to some piece of collision and eventually blowing up while still inside of the bay. So although you can use the Carrack to transport an Arrow, you can't store it in there, at least not in between game play sessions.
SHIPS THAT ARE CONFIRMED TO FIT INTO THE SCOUT BAY: Argo MPUV, cargo and Personnel (The hanger doors compress its' landing gear down as they close, but it's still sits comfortably in the scout bay while traveling), Merlin, Archimedes, M50, Razor, 85x, Buccaneer, Arrow.
SHIPS THAT ARE CONFIRMED TO NOT FIT INTO EITHER THE ROVER AND/OR SCOUT BAY: Gladiator, Avenger series, Terrapin, all of the 300 Series, Sabre, Hawk, Gladius. All Medium sized and large ships.
YEEEEES M50 FITS!
Thanks for adding this addendum because it's literally the only thing I was disappointed to not hear you mention in the video - once we get the functionality to operate the landing gear independently from the wing profile, like the Reliant can already do, the Arrow will work in the Carrack's hangar bay without caveat. And doubly thank you for adding the Pisces (and Arrow) in the rover bay at the end!!! I wanted to see that sooo bad, to have it confirmed (sad in the Arrow's case that it didn't fit though), and that answered my questions where others couldn't.
Aurora LN with its extra missiles on top?
Edit: yes.
Looks like you had a lot of fun trying it out :)
@@Wind_Lord You tested it?
When you decide to attack a Carrack and it just pops out a Buccaneer lmao
@Dovakhan or an arrow and 3 merlins
It's all fun and games until you see a hammerhead pop out if the hangar bay...
With a big crew, a Buccaneer and potentially two merlins. Merlins could re-land in the scout bay, and the Buccaneer could fly escort for the rest of the mission. That, combined with full turret crew would make this thing practically invulnerable.
@@samwiseman3308 hahahaha i can just imagine it slowly coming out of the top like a magic trick
@@carkindozin Nah, do it a la anime, big blinding light as it quickly launches off, everyone shocked at what that was, until someone finally sees it, then immediately explodes.
The 4 kruger layout is honestly my favorite one, since they have so much fire power by size and only small components, it transforms the Carrack into a deadly light carrier / recon ship that can repair all the small components of these snubs, heal troops and refuel the ships. I can only imagine hunting pirates with 4 krugers flying around while the 4 turrets of the carrack are all firing.
the synergy with a small org or sub group in an org using the Carrack along side Constellations, once the ship to ship docking aspect for the snub they bring to the table is just too good to ignore. 1 Carrack supported by 2 Constellations, along with 6 snub fighters seems like a perfect fit. a 20 man org could do a very well with a set up like that, very versatile and room for growth, just by adding an additional Constellation or if they get big enough a Carrack as they grow.
@@Evirthewarrior even with a bigger org, this set up is amazing for fighters screening. The constellations, carrack and krugers spread out in a fleet can effectively defeat fighter attacks and the Carrack gives the ability for the fighters to resupply in fight. Pretty awesome tbh
i'd bet if you put 2 at the edges of the rover bay, noses facing forward... you could probably fit a 3rd between them, in the other direction. it'd be picky to load, but probably pretty quick to dump; the reversed ship just backs out, and the other two fly forward.
Till you come across a Jump with 3 tanks on the hangar deck. That would be one hell of an epic battle.
@@oli74111 There is no resupply option in the Carrack as far as I know. Gotta need a Kraken or Idris for that most likely.
Really hope that they make it so that you can lower the Arrow's landing gear without raising the wing tips. The Arrow seems like the perfect snub fighter for the Carrack.
I really wanted an excuse to pledge for a little Aurora, and now I have it...
Yeh this makes the Aurora much better
The Aurora-LN on it's own is a good enough reason to have one. It's one of the most underrated ships out there IMO. Swap out a few stock modules, place a skilled pilot in the seat and that makes for a force to be reckoned with.
@@fa13dguy good to hear, that's the one I pledged for! Looking forward to flying it...
yeah please do, they are so easy to hit with ratlers missiles.
@@neojack333 When Flares and Chaff become an actual working function in this "Alpha" game, we'll see if that statement still holds true! :)
They are planning on decouplling the wings from the gear on some ships where it makes sense. The arrow still has potential to fit in it
check the pinned comment
@@lawofthewestgaming oooooo enter moniacle cackle here
I really hope they do or any ground crew will HATE the arrow. How would you exchange missile loadout if the wings fold up all the time.
@@thejopp omg, ladders, DUHHH (because yea, who doesn't wanna haul missiles up a ladder, right? lol.)
but seriously, yeah. i can't wait for wings/gear to be decoupled.
@@lawofthewestgaming "pinned" comment no longer is for some reason.
The arrow does fit, we just need to wait until landing gear and wing folding work separately
What I love about your videos is the cinematic way you work with the camera. Also everything is aesthetically placed, just like in a pro movie. And of course your passion for the subject matter. Like.
This is one of the kindest and most insightful comments that I've ever gotten, thank you!
@@lawofthewestgaming You're very welcome -- it was the least I could do. And If my comment made you happy, the merrier I am. Keep up the good work! :)
Man, a shot of all those Nox bikes rushing out of that bay would be one for the ages.
Seeing the Aurora in the scout bay just made me smile so much. I love that little ship, even if I traded mine years ago. If they can ever get the cargo module for it to work like the 300 series and the Mustang rework, the Aurora might be a great fit for ferrying down supplies from a Carrack to the ground, much like an Argo would.
That Pisces at the end made my day! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
Thanks bud. I needed this to figure out what ships to add to the fleet.
mini fleet of Merlins pouring out of her at the start of battle would be sick!
Using both bays has gone well beyond how others are testing will it fit, and I thank you.
Other night I had 3 Merlin's, 4 cyclones and 2 buggies comfortably. Can also fit 5 Merlin's comfortably (whoot, mini carrier)
I mean if u want a carrier why not use a 890 jump ?
@@cobra18 can only be spawned/repaired/refueled at 2 locations. It's just a very impractical ship to use in the current state of the verse. I look forward to the day that that isn't true.
@@officerdailey 2 locations is more than enough. There are only what, 4 anyway? Lol. I'm actually legit pissed that they hacked and warped and changed the Carrack so much just to fit in a god damn small hangar. It needed an 890/Reclaimer hangar.
Arrow fits without having it in landing mode. It sits on the side boarders of the hangar safe and dosent explode or bug out.
I found the same thing.
BUT, landed that way without the gear down you won't be able to respawn the Carrack with the Arrow still inside, if I'm not mistaken.
@@carleichel8454 my arrow respawned inside the carack in a different server this way.
Carl Eichel It does respawn, but with the Wings folded up in the Wall.
Need to be able to lower the wings with the gear still down...
Sooo many Carrack vids but this one is important! Thanks Law
Love the gorgeous intro. Nice video with a very real and fun topic. Thank You.
A carrack with 4 snubs would be amazing if you had enough crew to man them while also having people to defend the ship via turrets
Great! More for this new series, please. Also, excellent shots of angles and 'neat views'.
Love your videos, keep em coming! :D maybe the most relaxing YT series for SC imo. Always a pleasure!
Great video, especially enjoyed the Buccaneer part. I agree, it doesn't get enough love.
Nice! Thanks Law, I bet this one took you quite a bit of work to set up!
Great content, as expected. I'd love that see a versus video featuring The Carrack. (You can have it versus a rock, I really just want the imagery, and amazing editing)
Great video once again! In my opinion, the ability to fit an Aurora in the Carrack is a game-changer!
Almost looks like you could fit 2 auroras side by side
I was able to get a Argo Cargo into the hangar as well. When the doors shut, it pushes the Argo down a little on its gear but was still completely stable.
This is good news i love my little spaz van
Really Enjoyed this video!! Lot of time and effort there thank you. I can't wait to see if my Terrapin will fit.
You seriously had some more thought on what would fit in the vehicle bay then me :P
15:00 reminds me of driving Warthogs through hallways in the original Halo.
Ahh just wish a prospector could fit, what a great tool to take exploring with, especially if the mining bins can be dropped off and stored in the Carrack's storage areas.
Excellent video Thanks Law! I'm particular happy about the 85x :)
9:24 Winner of best image, even though it doesn't fit :) That looked NEAT
Best video on this particular subject so far. You did a great job and you have a dope voice. Keep up the great work!
Loved the hard work you made there, it opend many possibilities for me to use in the carrack, many thanks for the wunderfull perspectives ans ideas.
You just got a new follower 😉
great video. Thanks for doing this. I am impressed with your level of effort here.
Really enjoy your videos. The Carrack Exploration pack has the Ursa, Cyclone RN and Dragonfly Black. This whole combo should fit in the garage. (I upgraded the Dragonfly to the X1 Force and with the Nox loaner, they fit but the D-fly is bigger. Great job, miss your vids.
Thanks buddy, I hope more is to come in this series
Great video! Cool to see the possibilities.
Great video, I'm such a sucker for these types of videos!
Wow, this was a rather cool video to watch, I can't wait for parasite crafts to be implemented.
omg that was a lot of work your very dedicated bro thanks i realy enjoyed it!
Wow thanks for the nice Video. Those Ground vehilvcles in the front look very nice. Sadly i dont have one myself.
Thanks for this great video! Wish the carrack could hold just a little more, but I'm still sold on her.
lovely video
btw. you can fit an ballista in the hangar bay, but you cant close it. if you somehow manage to get it in there, while in being in your target area, your carrack suddenly has an AA missile turret.
So under-appreciated, all the work that goes into these videos. Do you pay for them all??
awesome video
You do the BEST "Fit" vids! Love to see one on 890 Jump. Not that I'd ever drop the eddies for her.
I've got some good news for you when it comes to that. It took a long time to get all the footage, but I'm finally done filming everything I need to make the 890 video.
Cool vid. I imagine you would be able to fit a few Tumbril bikes in rover hangar bay when they eventually come out.
Awesome video, your level of patients is amazing.
Fantastic info. Aurora LN might be the main ship I put in the Carrack.
im leaning towards that ship.
- has bed
- reasonable firepower
- cargo box
- passenger can use bed
That's awesome. Thanks for trying all of this out! I do imagine this not being possible anymore later in the development though. They will make it so there are a few dedicated "slots" in a ship in which you can lock down a vehicle i am sure. It would be way too overpowered otherwise.
Great video Law! Will you do a Carack Tour/Review video aswell? I've been holding out on most of those other video's because I really like your style. Anyway, can't wait to see some carack stories from you. Take care!
Really good video, very calming
Great insight into the game as always. Thanks!
Thanks for the work
I hope they consider increasing the hangar size a tad. Its on the verge of fitting some really cool ships in it that juuust barley cant fit. The arrrow, gladius, etc
The MPUV cargo will go into the bottom garage. You would think the top of the engines would clip into the roof but its been riding down there fine for quite some time.
Argo MPUV-P can fit in the bay with the door closed. The door pushes down on the argo a little but it does not clip. I did it with the intention of using it as a dropship.
Excellent work!
I’m excited to see if they make variants of combat ships or mining ships to fit inside these larger craft.
Finally the content i crave
Arrow and bucc will make excellent support ships for the carrack. The arrow i left the engines on and the gear up it sat just fine Bartley used any fuel and stayed steady without bouncing. It just used the underside thruster to keep it just of the ground of the carrack bay. I wish the scout bay door would have a gravfield so you can have a guest parking so to speak and use the upper Eva doors as access
Interesting to know one's options. Though, all of these "can you X bikes" etc, I dont think that will be needed that often. Sure, if you wanna organise a race of cyclones, you may want to bring 4+ along. But for every day usage of this ship now/in the future both, I think all I want is 1 good option as a snub fighter and 1-3 groud vehicles. I was very glad to see I could fit a Cyclone next to a Rover and be comfy. Seeing you park 2 Cyclones behind each other gave me the creeps: when I tryed to park mine that close to the hangar wall (nose to wall), I clipped into the wall when I left my seat. So dunno if Ill want to try and get 2 Cyclones for regular exploring - even if the Carrack has this great function of giving you the clipping-bug-fix option of suicide+respawn in-ship that no other ship Ive owned had.
So currently, 1 Rover, 1 Cyclone and maybe 1 smaller thing like a Nox sound like a really cool loadout, and Im very happy that you a- can transport that much and b- that it doesnt take away from cargo capacity (unlike my previous love the Aquila).
As for ships... the Arrow-problem made me so sad, but maybe once they do introduce a button to split wing folding from landing gear usage... to be fair, it sounds like a relatively easy thing to program, just untie the folding animation from the landing gear function. Then add it to a separate button, like with V-tol buttons. For the Arrow, it'd mean landing flexibility, as some ships will probably have higher ceilings but less horizontal space, so folding the wings would be crucial there. And other ships would benefit from this option too: take a Sabre. Those wings in extended position may make sense for atmo-flight, but why not give the option of having them folded when cruising in space?
You just gave me a reason to kep my aurora thank you
You have a great voice Law. You could deffo go pro with it. Great Presentation style too.
Always Great! Thanks 👍
Great Vid Man!
Excellent video!
If CI ever does open up those side doors in the cargo modules the Carrack would become a full on sub-capital carrier, so I'm having my doubts about it. But I hope they do!
Thanks for your hard work, man!
My (currently) desired setup:
Hangar: Aurora LX (for exploration of very small wormholes)
Bay: 2x Ursa + 2x Dragonfly
This will require some practice to fit everything tightly inside but it would make it a real "home". 8-)
The pisces can mount a jump drive so the LX isn't strictly necessary.
@@robertschumacher2707 : No, it can't.
CiG has been very clear about that during somr talk show. I'm afraid this time the stats page is showing as intended.
If you're having any newer source please let us know.
Great Vid! Thanks for Your efforts.
Man this vid is awesome , thank you
Good video man!
Quite good, thank you!
would be interested to see what mixed loads might fit in the rover bay, 1 ursa, 1 cyclone (2?), and 2 (3?) Nox? 2 Cyclones and 6 Nox/2 Dragonflies? 2 Ursa is great, but a diverse load might be more versatile
Last night we had 4 merlins, 4 Knox's and an Ursa haha
Great vid, was gutted my 325a was too long :( might have to CCU to an arrow now ;)
Great video, thanks!
I’ll just keep me Pisces in the hanger mainly and maybe the Gladiator if flying into known areas of conflict. Then just a Rover and Cyclone in the bay.
Would love to see a refresh of this. Wonder of the Scorpius could fit.
I own both a Scorpius and a Carrack and I can say, without a doubt, that the Scorpius will NOT fit. It barely fits in the hangar of an 890Jump....
@@ketillredblade3643 yeah, since posting this 8 months ago I now have both too and tried it. Will have to wait for the Polaris!
Damn man. You've sold me on picking up the $20 Aurora.
The whole line-up of the 100 series fits inside too
I am for my part rolling an m50 together with the pisces
Cool Video!
I love that the Aurora fits that ship is such a nostalgic ship for me and my group and to know it fits makes it totally viable to buy one in game
Thank you! 😁👍
Great job
Awesome video.
Cool new intro 👍🏼
I think we need a revision for this list, as of today you can fit the Arrow as you can deploy landing gear without folding the wings allowing the hatch to close properly.
Sir, I'm gonna need that 890 Jump edition of this video.
I can at least confirm that the Avenger fits in the 890. JUST (a few inches in either direction and you be crashing)
Heck even the Mantis fits in the hangar of the 890. Just have to leave the deck lowered while you nose in first.
I had fun doing this process with my 890J. The Razor was probably the tightest ship to ride the pad. I wasn't really interested in solving blacksmith puzzles to get a larger ship in with a pre-lowered pad.
Carrack: Snub Fighter Carrier, I love it!
Carracken
Krackapillar reference makes me smile. good times!
The two small argos fit BTW when the doors close it pushes it down on its suspension. Ut is all ok
There needs to be a video where this ship lands and two rovers filled with troops, four two manned drake dragonflies, and two snub fighters all disembark to the 1986 Delta Force theme song! :) Hell, do a montage with loading (throw in some over the top hand gesturing), traveling, disembarking, wrecking some bad guys, and then flying away.
Looking at that arura in there you should be able to snug a kruger in as well
I wish my Freelancer would fit in it. If it did, I'd definitely buy a Carrack!
Been looking on what attack craft can fit in the Carrack, and it's been toss up between the M50 and BUCC... least until the arrow gets it's gear and wings fixed with more modes. The razor variants seem good to, but that ingame price makes me go to ships I own or get cheaper.
Cool to see the Bucc fits
I'm glad the Aurora fits. Even though I'm eventually going to trade it in for a cutty, it's going to a ship I'm vary fond of
@@DeusNobiscum you know. I fund you, you fund me. We fund them. It's basic.
M50 on the Carrack would be pretty cool, like trailers moving stock cars from race to race
Not sure if the LN would allow for the hangar doors to close? The top missile rack might block it.
