      Kaulin has good taste. Color-matched bumpers, etc. are *_much_* better.
      I have that on the list for my Silverado Z71 LTZ. Too much chrome!

    Worked with a guy who painted all his tools pink. Everyone on the job would rag on him and give him mess. I asked why pink one day. He pointed out no one asked to "barrow" his tools, he never lost any they always got back to him. 🤔

    I worked in a body shop when I was a kid.... the estimator had the hardest job. And when they didn't want to pay what a job would cost, we ended up doing supplemental after supplemental to get them to ALMOST pay what they should. Insurance companies work hard at screwing both the customer and the body shops.

      Estimating these type jobs is a pain but time spent here pays for itself when dealing with fools at ins co.

      whoevers making/selling the parts is screwing the customer and the insurance companies too. over 1k for a bumper? over 1k for a headlight? is this a porsche? i wouldnt care about screwing the insurance company, but they pass that cost on to us

    Good video. Very well explained. You showed all the hidden damage that some shops would hide & charge for new parts. Hard to find good shops such as yours. Great business values & ethhics.

    As an insurance agent, I’m going to watch this video with my office staff so that they can better understand what happens after we help customers-turn in Claims.
    Recently, I purchased a lightly damaged late model camper through Copart (that are Insured owned) paying all the fees to a licensed rebuilder body shop in Illinois. It was to better understand that process and the time it takes to get through, AFTER our Insured has been paid a total loss.

    Well Done. It is nice to see a Professional at work. I can safely say that
    I've never seen a Paint/Body Operation that works as well as yours appears
    to. Around here the work product is about as half-assed as it can get.

    Really like the video! Just hit my 2nd deer this year. 1st in March took to dealership waited 4 months to get back. 11,000.00 in damages. My second one November 15th just got estimate for 8,500.00 from private auto body shop. Hopefully they can get it done sooner than 4 months. They are giving me a loaner where the dealership wouldn't. Love the work you do!

    It's good to see why repairs are so expensive. I'm sure somebody's making a bundle selling the parts. $1875 for a headlight assembly sounds insane to me.

      Old stuff is getting more expensive, too. My Ford had a good wallop when someone hit my car in a parking lot. I was quoted 3k for a new bumper, fender, fog light and a repaint. I decided to leave it alone.

      My 05 Silverado only cost me $7000.... both headlights and turns cost me less than $100 when I hit a deer, for the $9000 this truck is costing I could replace all my lights, new grille and have a lot left over. I'll stick with the old stuff as well.

      Robby is definitely trying to pull a fast one on insurance.... I had a brand new Mercedes that needed much more than just a bumper replaced after a deer hit... It cost 6K...

    Just a suggestion for your Tools Robbie. Paint them Blue, that way you can identify them from others and not get mixed up or hopefully not "lost"..
