too bad its getting roasted in the steam reviews. Most players are capping at 10 FPS. I was really looking forward to it, but I think I will hold off on my purchase until they optimize it.
Honestly, buying any game on release these days is playing a stupid game. And you know what they say about playing stupid games.
The dev targeted 30fps even on top of the line hardware. No clue wtf they were smoking when they made that decision instead of targeting 60fps but I've never been that high in my life and wish they would share.
This is essentially "The Line", that city they're supposedly building in the Sahara which is planned to be 170 km city built as a straight line... except all crumpled up.
Cities Skylines 2 in its pretty bad launch state is still in better condition than The Line will ever be in. It's a pipe dream.
The Line is in Saudi Arabia not the Sahara. I don't think even the Saudi monarchs are dumb enough to build such a thing in the Sahara.
It's not in the Sahara but it's about the same level of unlivability. The reason they build weird stuff is because it's scorching hot and nothing but sand and it's hard to make a pedestrian bike friendly city which is appealing to people when you have 50⁰ every day and night. So first they've built a car centered Dubai with funky stuff, got bullied by Europeans and now they're billing 100% pedestrian city to not being bullied.
So please stop cyber bullying Saudis because God knows what they will build next after they see your comments.

Regionalized city services would be nice. A truly American themed city would have a highschool that looks like a prison.

Because you only have one road, the parks can only be accessed from the same side of the road that you place them on, so they only make people on that side and before it happy.

the wonderful thing about chinese food is you can eat it with basically anything and it wouldnt be THAT bad. like if someone spilled milk all over your chow mein it probably wouldnt ruin the entire meal. i know id still eat it

games unrealisic, city planners at least in America don't actually measure how much money a city makes or loses so you can technically make your debt as big as you want, our politicians have this game on easy mode

hear me out. would it not still be one road if you have the road split into a 1 way that then splits into multiple 1 ways to reconnect all and merge back in to the 2 way road. in the end you are just making the median just supper fucking big with uturn point that have property along them.
Everyone's complaining about how bad CS2 looks, but I think it's awesome. Much more realistic than CS1 imo.

I've enjoyed skylines 2 so far, but I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed with the amount of content. I hate that so much is going to be chopped up and sold as DLC. I wouldn't call this a complete game for 50$.
It just has no personality? I know SimCity Societies was heavily bashed, but at least it wasn't bland.

i feel like the taxes shouldve stayed as low medium and high density, its literally aids being late game and 90% of your map is low density housing, its a cancer
Well its ok game, but not really that big step from first skyline...
Not to mention that beside obvious performance issues that this game have.... its kinda ugly. Like its game from 2023, it have pretty beefy spec requirement, and still its not that big step up from first game.
It have some new gameplay features but that not enough to justify pretty horrid optimization and look. Im not really in to graphic in games like that, as its not the point of it but still, all that new features could be added to first game and it would not bump spec requirements, so question is why the hell it need x2 more power to run?
There is lots of ways to optimize game and still keep it fancy looking, but more and more games skip that and just base performance on raw power, slap some huge unoptimized textures, shaders that make even most powerful GPU start sweating, dont clean code, just stack it on top of each other.... and release game like that....
