Wouldnt call a new color scheme and trim level huge changes. Just typical incremental changes Toyota always does. They need to fix the recall issues first then move on.
I love the blacked out look of 2025 grand highlander hybrid nightshade. Absolutely love it. Its built on the limited trim platform so it has a touch of luxury in it which is nice. Although if it doesn't have an 8 seating capacity then I will have to get the XLE trim unfortunately.
Biggest complaints I've heard from multiple people is the top tier of Grand Highlander doesn't come close to the quality and fit/finish of the top tier Highlander. Will the quality be boosted?
I really wish I had known the Grand Highlander was being released when I bought my RAV4 XSE in 2023. I don't necessarily need the room, but it would be awesome for camping trips and etc. Plus it would help with the odd family vacation now and then. I'd love to see if the Grand Highlander has any off-road capability in the future.
Did they fix all the issues? Airbag, hood vibration, missing fuel capacity ...too many problems with the Grand highlander that I won't trust what Toyota says until customers report that these issues have been fixed
It’s confusing, there’s an article on Car and driver website which says all captain chair models will have a removable center console option. This leads me to believe that this might be similar to what the Honda pilot offers, a 2nd row bench with a removable center to convert an 8 passenger seat into 7 seats.
Lexus TX was my choice, but the Grand Highlander really is the right purchase. It’s priced right and you can use regular gas instead of Premium in the Lexus.
4:42 Its disappointing they still have only 2 tether anchors in the 3rd row instead of 3. If they cant add 1 more tether anchor, at the very least Toyota should have moved the center tether anchor to the driver side so owners can put 2 front facing car seat in the 3rd row.
Toyota Jeff failed to mention the issues the 2024 GH is still having like front air bag failures, crash test reporting failures, coke can like tin on these vehicles. For the same money, look at the Volvo XC90, GMC Acadia, Honda Pilot, all have better build quality and are transparent with the consumer who's spending $60,000 on a suv.
But have they changed the car seat accomodation arrangements?! Would love to see the only two 3rd row latches/tethers not next to eachother. This configuration will never fit two toddler seats 🫤
Sooo many seasons of the Lions being the worst team in the league and it’s taken me a while to get used to seeing them winning lol. I’m stuck in the Barry Sanders days. That hybrid nightshade may be for me.
At the end of the day, Toyota dealers will still play games so the cost reductions will not become a reality. It is good that they are lowering their MSRP since they went too high on most of their vehicles. The hybrid trims will remain rare and dealers will still add 3k+ in dealer options to all of them. Like others have stated, the Grand Highlander felt cheap inside. We test drove an XLE and things just seemed loose in terms of fit and finish, seats felt like they were going to die in a year since it would make odd noises when making adjustments and was not smooth either. Some say Mazda is the new Toyota and they are definitely on my list the next time I get a new vehicle. Toyota lost out on the last three we purchased since they are no longer competitive on price. Would have paid a lot more for less vehicle and their reliability is slipping, at least on trucks.
Yeah. I have the 2024. Got the limited hybrid with sun/moon roof and 360 camera plus other features. Great car, but it would be nice if they'd fix their recalls before producing the next year's model.
Why does toyota only offer this in typical colors? It's like they thing large families and folks with extra $ for a car only want bland and boring or red. Told my dealer that I'd get one if it had different colors or green. Toyota, no more boring!
@@TOYOTA_TONY For me, gray/white/black are typical. Cement is a step above though, but still in the gray/silver range. Vs something like lunar rock which is greenish.
Don't confuse looks with "quality." I test-drove a Palisade with 110 miles on it. No floor mat and the driver-side carpet was already wearing out!? I showed the salesperson and we both shook our heads. Price, quality, service. Pick two of the three. Sometimes, you only get one of the three but NEVER all three. ;) Something has to give. And with Hyundai, it is (especuially) the material quality. That's why the Genesis costs $25K more. Keeping it real, I'd spend $15K more for the Lexus 550h max. But for $18K more, I see about $3K in differences. YMMV.

Wow!! The Grand Highlander has all the features! I love the pictures of each grade. Jeff, you and Holly have a beautiful house!!
2024 was a lemon. Be careful
I could do without the sunroof. We never use the ours.
...and put a V6 in this model.
I don't need the multi Terrain option either.
Wish the interior was more plush for that money. A lot of matte black plastics(that scratch easily). I’d like to see more gloss finishes

Jeff, You know I am going to jump all over the new LEss is more trim. Make mine a Hybrid LE AWD in Blueprint. 🤩🤩
Appreciate the Toyota Jeff Redzone Channel
Happy to bring you the action that counts
I would have loved a HybridMax Nightshade trim!
100% agree with this! That’s really the package I was hoping would get announced.
Does it have a sunroof??
I want one with a normally aspirated V6. No hybrids and no turbos.
The Lexus version of this vehicle is the one you want then
I need confirmation that the Nightshade isn't available with a bench seat, that would be a deal breaker for us.
It’s not available for Nightshade and Platinum, and limiteds with the hybrid max unfortunately.
You can get the bench seat, our sales person that only about 5% will come with them. We are getting a black nightshade with the bench.
Thanks for the GH update. Your house looks beautiful.

Which trims have a 2d row bench option? Enjoyed the thorough review. Thanks

@@abdurahmangazzali3145 thank you
@@abdurahmangazzali3145 I have only seen either a 60/40 split bench or a pair of captains chairs with a removable center console.
thanks Jeff for update!
Why did this stretch Rav 4 take so long ...

Great review. Jeff.
Love the grant highlander look and especially the new cement color!

What did one Grand Highlander say to the other?
Wow, I could have had a V-8!
Yea I don’t think a single Highlander or Grand Highlander buyer ever had the need or want for a V8. Not everything does lol
It should be call Grand RAV4 because it look exactly like a bigger RAV4
Wish they'd add the 1794 trim level for this
Can I have cement colour on XLE 8 passenger too ?
What what what.
Nice
What is the dealer markup on this??
Grand Highlander “LE” trim is coming to Canada 🇨🇦 or the US only?

I didn’t receive my 2024 grand highlander hybrid since Aug 2023 I ordered years ago .

Yessss finally the Lions are good
If only we could get one. I had to buy an Atlas due to extreme production delays.
Just ordered the 25 XLE a few weeks ago and was told sometime in December.
Watch the dealers do 10k price hikes on the Night shade models
GO PACK GO!!!
HUGE Changes...LOL! People are going to be shocked at the cost of fixing the stressed out Hybrid Max 4cyl.
Be careful, nfl are jerks about copyright

They need to have a larger more powerfull engine over 325 hp
Turbo ingine don't last only problems
Why can't they bring back MGM color?
& With AirBags issues corrected 🎉
