THIS IS A MASTERPIECE!!! The music, the cinematography, the story, the EVERYTHING 🔥🔥 I almost cried at the end. I'm so glad you exist, and that you choose to share your art with the world UA-cam is so lucky to have you
Yep, once again your vlog reaches a core feeling of people in their 20's and i LOVE it. The cinematic concept suits the best for those vlogs. Amazing as per usual.
Hey Batsheva! It's so cool to see a frum girl live her artistic dreams and make content about something different than the political/educational stuff you find online. It feels so relatable and real. As an aspiring artist, I totally get the struggle of trying to "make it" and I hope you are proud of how far you've come. Bzh, you'll go even farther.
Thank you for sharing this - when I finished watching the video, it really made me think about how I view my own hobbies. It’s so easy to get caught up in thinking of them as a “waste of time” when in reality, they’re a reflection of who we are as people and what we love doing! And what’s more meaningful than that?
I agree, since I spend more time with my hobbies and keep trying to find some new activities to enrich my life, I feel more freedom. for few years I was kind of struggling even with reading for I had a dream "to make it professional" and it didn't work, and I kind of needed to reframe it and find the value in it one more time. for now I have a conclusion that for me bigger prestige is in having time for what I love to do on my terms than having highly payed/socially prestigous work situation.
Yes!! and that doesn't mean you won't have that prestigious job in the future, I absolutely believe you will, with time and patience. But I think it's such an important lesson to learn, to know who we are as people outside the prestige. because that doesn't matter at the end of the day.
Hi Batsheva:) I liked the format of this video. The topic is really close to me. I've picked up a hobby lately too (for a year now) - I sew. And gradually this hobby becomes a small income:) Good luck with your journey ! Love your hair btw
omg thats incredible!!! while we don't always have to monetize our hobbies I love when people take the intuitive and turn something let love into a business!!
Hi! Love the video! I also do not have a job for more than a year already. I had some part-times, but nothing that could become a real job. And sometimes I feel very guilty about it, like a year has passed and nothing changed. But then I try to focus on other parts of my life - my relationships with people around me, my hobbies, what I've achieved, what results I have - even though they have not brought me any money - and it adds so much sense to my life! All these little things - like reading books, restoring old things from the countryside house or volunteering at local festivals
this is such a good mindset to have!! you won't always be unemployed, and the resilience and failure you feel are powerful tools you can use moving forward. But to develop worth outside your monetary circumstances? Defining who you are, what you love, what you stand for? Those are traits you can carry no matter what circumstances youre in.
At the risk of sounding glib this was a kick @ss video and this resonated with me so much. Hobbies are an essential part of growing character. When I was 27 I saw an adult swim promo that said as much. I always planned on learning hebrew and japanaese, but now I will learn arabic spanish and russian. Also this made me realize I do have a hobby, despite my self criticism:mixology. During covid I binge watched cocktail youtube and now know more about cocktails then my bartender friends. I've invented around 20 cocktails, mostly from arak, and even though my dream is to be a writer, as someone who wants to be a husband and father my fall back plan for financial stability is running a kosher bar and restaurant. I've also finally processed from 10/7 enough to go to a syrian synagogue I used to go to before I fell into depression(I don't know if you heard of it but it's called edmond j safra, it's in New York). I'm already making connections and plan to network with them. I've also been haven't been able to find work since I graduated from college; I was 27 and now I'm 33. I know how humiliating it can be to be unemployed so I'll tell you exactly what I tell myself; you'll eventually make it. G-d bless you and yours Batsheva.
mixology is such a cool hobby!! anything youre good at-- lean into it!! Not every hobby needs to be your job but if you feel drawn to the food industry, do it! We need more good Kosher places. Are there any event / bar / catering jobs you can take on to learn?
Loved it. The saddest part is when the video ends, I'm left wanting more!

exactly!! our hobbies and interests are so meaningful, and its a disservice to us to belittle such a big part of ourselves

Don’t worry, People feel guilty about working too much and not enjoying enough free time, so it’s all about perspective!
