The Apple iPhone 6S was released in September 2015 and later this year, it will be an 9 year old phone. Originally released on iOS 9, it was able to get up to iOS 15 which was a big surprise to everyone. So how well does the iPhone 6s hold up now going into 2024? In this video we try to answer that question by taking a look at the hardware specs, software updates and major features of the iPhone 6S and compare it to newer iPhone 15 lineup.

@mimikyu4822they work but they are much slower compared to new iphones
@mimikyu4822 yes most apps will have the latest version and you'll have no problems really until maybe summer 2025 but all that's really wrong with it is probably the delay of opening apps and battery life

had mine since 2019, upgraded to iphone 13 im feeling grateful even though me and this iphone 6s have made lots of memories together
I’d say if you still have it and it works, no reason to get rid of it. But if you’re looking for a new phone on a budget, it’d be more worth it to go for the iPhone 10 or 11

I personally think they need to stop dropping support for older iOS versions I am still very fine using iOS 13 and 14 on my iPad Air third generation and I don’t plan to upgrade

Yea deffs fix it, and when it kicks the bucket id say get a se 2 as replacement, they are plummeting in price recently on the used market and are very capable just have lacking battery life if you use them intense
I use my 6s sometimes. And I have a iPhone 6 from when I was 8 years old. My iPhone 6s was from when I was 10. And now I’m 17. And I’m using the iPhone SE third generation
Wouldn’t use this as main. I can’t imagine it’s fast enough and it would be noticeably slow

It would run okayish at lowest settings, just don't expect greatness and you'll be fine with this, just, get the 64gb one, 16gbs is not enought ever
