The iPhone 6 was released a decade ago and despite its low price of $30-$35, it should not be considered in 2024.
Overall, the display on the iPhone 6 holds up well in 2024 and should not be a concern. The battery on the iPhone 6 is very short while on the iPhone 6 Plus, it lasts for a long time. The camera can only capture basic quality footage; however, the main concern on the iPhone 6 is the speed. The iPhone 6 only has 1GB of RAM and an Apple A8 chip, which is hardly enough to perform basic tasks.
My best alternatives to the iPhone 6 are the iPhone SE 1st/2nd Gen and the iPhone 7.

im planning to get an iphone 6 plus but im scared that it wont be worth it....
I've had this phone before. I got it in 2016 I believe and had it until 2018. It was my dad's phone and he gave it to me when he got a new phone. The battery on that phone was atrocious. Did not hold a charge whatsoever. A full charge usually lasted me half an hour to 45 minutes. An hour if I was lucky. I was in high school and I'd take the phone with me to school and I'd have to bring the charger with me as well because I'd be charging it constantly. There's one morning, I let it charge to 100% right before I left the house and unplugged it right before I left and took the bus to school (which was about half an hour to 40 minutes from our house to the school). I would take the bus at 7:55. First class started at 8:45 (or that's when we had to go into the school and class started at 9:00. I can't remember for sure as it's been awhile since I graduated now) and the phone would be pretty much dead by the time the first class started and all I would do is listen to music on the way to school. Ended up getting a Galaxy S7 to replace that phone and the Galaxy S7 held a way better charge. iPhone 6 was hands down the worst phone I've ever had.

An iPhone 6S is only worth about $60 and a new battery would cost $10. Even with a new battery, the battery won't last long so I don't recommend it.

@@Glaizat Watch my latest UA-cam Short, it might work for the iPhone 6, but battery drain will be very high and your iPhone will lag. If it doesn't work for you, then it won't be possible.

It didn't work that well back in 2015. iPhone 6 is the worst generation from the specs and performance standpoint. It was a third year Apple kept using just 1 gig of RAM i their phones and it wasn't enough for iPhone 6 from the start. iPhone 6 Plus was even worse. So the short answer is "it was never worth it".
Damn my guy is still fuming a decade later. I had an iPhone 6 plus up until yesterday where I upgraded to a mid-range Huawei. Sure 128 storage 8gb ram is better than 16gb and 1gig ram but the phone worked wonders up until that day. I knew I had one gig of ram but I didn't even notice 😂. The storage and battery kinda sucked but that's today, I'm sure at launch this phone did wonders. It's no wonder it sold so well
Btw I looked up these iPhone 6 in 2024 videos to see if others has a similar experience and it seems that I'm just not fussy.
