    Exellent job, step by step, do you take the tires off or receive only the rims? if not how do manage to deal with dose sensitive electronic air pressure sensor devises, thanks for your attention

    • @710performance
      @710performance  4 роки тому +1

      We have the wheels brought to us only with the tires removed. Sometimes people have left the TPSM attached, and they are actually pretty easy to takeoff.

    First, Thanks for this amazing video! I have a question about the curing process. When do you start your timer for the curing time? Once the piece has reached target temperature? or do you let the piece reach the target temperatura and once this happens the curing process is done, I'm a bit confused on this phase of the powder coat process, thanks!

    • @710performance
      @710performance  Рік тому +1

      You start the time once the part has reached curing temperature

    Is the blasting stage necessary even if all the paint came off? I heard you can just jet wash them after acid dip and powder coat straight away without the blaster? Is that true?

    • @710performance
      @710performance  3 роки тому

      You can do it without a blaster, but you'll still have to sand the wheels or use a wire brush wheel. But no you cannot take it right from the strip tank, rinse and powder coat.

    So is there really no need for a primer or clear or is that optional and extra? Also how much of a benefit is it to have primer and clear? Does the clear provide UV protection from color fade? And does a primer actually make it more durable?
    Appreciate the video!

    • @710performance
      @710performance  2 роки тому +1

      Primer is usually (but not always) used with steel not aluminum, although you can you don’t have too. Clear coat is optional, but is also does cost extra. Primer does make it more durable and depending on the clear coat it can provide UV stability and protect it from fading, but make colors do not need it, but it’s good for extra protect and some colors require a clear coat

    • @710performance
      @710performance  4 роки тому

      King PrettyFlacko I do know, it won’t. Going to have to media blast it off or use a chrome stripper. We don’t usually mess with chrome wheels and if we do we charge a lot of money to blast it off.

  • @michelevitarelli

    Do you reclaim that blasting media?

    • @710performance
      @710performance  4 роки тому +1

      We do not at this time. We will be getting a small blasting cabinet, but we do like the fact of using clean media all the time as it save us extra steps in our process. We also get the media pretty cheap, less than $8 for 50 lbs. With the time we save from having additional steps sometimes off sets it pretty well.

    • @710performance
      @710performance  2 роки тому

      You don’t have to, it’s a good practice but it’s also more material and more time so it’s best to charge Accordingly. Sometimes customers don’t want to pay the extra

    What is "OUT Gas"?

    • @710performance
      @710performance  3 роки тому +1

      When you heat the piece you are working on for an extended period of time to release all of the oils and gasses that may be trapped in the metal. It's best to outgas then media blast it as to ensure the parts is completely clean.
