Chemicals are chemicals and vitamins are chemicals. The issue I would have if there are contaminates from the synthesis process or structural differences.
Our view is that all nutrients work better with less known (at this time) synergistic components that are only found in whole foods. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. I would bet there would be contaminates still traceable in coal tar derivative vitamins.
Klaire labs too
I only use whole food vitamins/supplements like Standard Process & or Biotics Research, Designs for Health and Klaire Labs 😊
Klaire LABS - its right in the name: Lab made. Same with the Designs for Health. Some of their products are great, but for example, the B vitamins are still made in a Lab. Products we have recommended for years but are really cracking down to recommend WHOLE FOOD based whenever possible. - Nutritionist Maria H
If wholesome food is not available in a city we have to depend on These Tar containing vitamins
I disagree. There are enough good whole food nutritional product companies available.
And a majority of the vitamins are owned and made by the pharmaceutical companies 😢!
Indeed! We have found an excellent whole food family run nutritional company. There are still some good companies out there.
Standard Process, Biotics, Designs for Health all use synthetics!
Wait a minute, Standard Process uses synthetics?
Yes, many of the formulas are spiked with synthetics. They certainly have a lot of whole food only products. But a lot of the popular products contain synthetics. I am not sure why or when this started. Even Catalyn, their whole food multi-vitamin is spiked with synthetics. The ingredients label at the bottom of the label on Catalyn says: Other ingredients: Honey, glycerine, acacia fiber, ascorbic acid (synthetic C), calcium stearate (a questionable lubricant), modified corn starch, pyridoxine hydrochloride (synthetic B6), vitamin A palmitate (highly processed vitamin A), thiamin hydrochloride (synthetic vitamin B1), riboflavin (synthetic B2) and cholecalciferol (synthetic vitamin D).
