    In 1960 , when I was a kid, I was with my mum & dad returning from a day at the coast. Part of our return home journey took us through the Vale of York, when we came upon a worker cutting grass from the Bishop Dyke. My dad stopped the car, got out to watch the worker. I got out of the car and stood by my dad. Hands in his pockets, he said, " I wish I was doing that" Asked "Why?" dad replied " I would not be going down the bloody coal mine tonight!" I share this story as a tribute to my dad, and a salute to all that cut brush from ditches. Well done!!

    You handled this like it was an extension of your own arm. The set up looked as though it was a perfect combination for this type of thing. Fine job.

    @16 gallons a min, this attachment could be used on a lot of smaller equipment. Heck, my 3rd function on my little LX2610 can push out 10 gallons a min and could be easily boosted with a back up tank and reservoir installed, along with larger gauge hydraulic hoses. Not that I would be able to use it on that machine, I was just surprised at the low flow rate.

    Those hoses hanging down like that is a bit scary. It looks like if one got held up on a piece of debris, it could be pulled under the cutting blade and bye, bye 👋 hose.

    How does your back feel after sitting for that long? That’s my biggest problem with pulling 8-12 hour days of seat time on the tractor. My back seizes up and I’m out of commission for a week. I’m loving this little brush cutter. What is the price for a machine like that? A new Kubota of comparable size runs anywhere from 50-75k depending on options. Does the ditch mulcher work well on small tree limbs like the ones on the side of the ditch you’re clearing? I could really use a machine like this to keep the horse trails trough the woods opened back up and even widen them out. I was contemplating renting a similar machine for a week, does $750-$1250 dollars a day seem fair? Or am I getting ripped off?

    • @williamlloyd3769
      @williamlloyd3769 Рік тому +2

      If you rented the machine even for one or two days it would give you a clue on if you would be comfortable enough on multiple eight hour work days. A few years ago I rented car for a road trip just to verify I would like it enough to own it. Money well spent.

    Good stuff as always man. Always enjoy your videos. Have you made a video previously that you could link to talking about how you got started or if you haven’t possibly make one? I’d love to hear about how you got started and see more of the business side of things. I’m wanting to start my own business and really like to hear your experiences on starting and running the business.
    Thanks man.

    In my Opinion from what ive seen it seems that little munchie would do a better job, the cutter seems to stall out if you hit a large group of weeds.

    I it's time to upgrade to a bigger mini excavator that you have with high flow and more counter weight and then when buy that new brush cutter you can get two one the excavator and one for the skidstire just sayen 😊😊PS you could sell the MTL to this customer 😉elite earthworks has a bigger tikihuchy mini excavator and and he loves it maybe you could buy his which is fairly new so he could upgrade to a full size excavator you never know you should reach out 😊😊😊

    I think you're better with the mini excavator drum mulcher than Chris Letsdig18 is. He's too impatient and can't wait for the mulcher to spool back up before he's trying to mulch again. You do so much cleaner of a job making the chips smaller than he does because you go slow enough for the head to stay spooled up. Chris is so used to going wide open when grading he can't slow himself down to the speed of the mulcher and he does a poor job and the results after he uses the mulcher shows it. You have gotten so much better with each of the different mulchers than what you were in the beginning. I'd choose you over him to do a mulching job any day. But I'd have to choose him over you for any type of grading job. You're yet to master grading like you've master the mulchers and brush mowers. You did good on these ditches leaving them looking very nice. 👍

      He has one that's similar to this one but bigger. He's got videos using it more often the first year he started youtube. He uses it less because of the other attachments he has now. Look back in some of his early videos and you'll see him using the one he has thats similar to this one. I found a video of him using the one he has. 👍

  • @thecaptainindustrialsales4560

    I would put you a notch up on Chris at letsdig18 on running a mulcher..you are the best. Chris on excavator dig skills is tops but slow on running his mulcher. you both are super good and successful utbers!
