You should do a full face using only drugstore brushes. Idk but I feel when I watch videos they always use more expensive brushes. I think it would be cool to see a review type thing on drugstore brushes because you don’t see those a lot.
I use a lot of high end make up. I don’t own a ton, but have collected pieces here and there but almost all my brushes are drugstore lol. Would be cool to see!
Katze Farron I love a lot of ELF Brushes. Just got to Target, they’ll have some out you can feel first
Ecotools is a really good brush brand at the drugstore. Ive gotten mine from Walmart and the brushes are SO soft and also not too expensive.

Check our the Walmart equate brushes. I love them over some of my better brushes!

Please like this idea! I've had it too! Crappy brushes and high end vs cheaper, questionably useful products done with, say Scott's brushes. I wanted to see what he could actually do with dollar store makeup. It would really sell his makeup master classes lol. "I can make crap look like art!"

hope you get makeup revolution, it's my fave new brand I think.. but it's so new I'm still figuring out what's good, what's not... I wanna hear about Catrice and Essence too, I had never heard of those brands or ALOT of drugstore brands (that weren't loreal, Maybelline. CoverGirl, Neutrogena, etc...) until UA-cam, and I only started watching like 2-3yrs ago? So I'm still getting to know a lot of products =).. But in Lithuania you must-have brands that we don't, right?
@@ErinLeona i mean... not really. We dont have a lot of brands, we have like little stands of channel, urban decay and i think thats it. The most popular are maybelline, nyx, loreal, rimmel, essence and catrice

The gel bubbled because it was applied too thickly. It doesn’t cure completely and causes bubbles and wrinkles. A good base coat will help chipping. Orly Bonder is a great one. Glisten and Glow Top Coat works well.

Yep or it wasn't cured properly. Darker polishes can sometimes take longer to cure if it's very pigmented. X

You should ask Cristine about top coat. Sometimes she does her nails and knows things about glossy tacos 🤣
Something I've found that really helps to prolong my polish life and keep it from chipping is to make sure you're "wrapping the tip" with polish. So when you're doing it yourself, bring the polish all the way up and around the tips of your nails and paint just a little bit of the underside. Works wonders for me!

If you don’t mind a recommendation. A double cleanse with a balm or oil cleanser & then a water-based cleanser to finish .

I think she started that way because of her nails, lol, but that tarte primer (and similar) you need your hands for...maybe she stopped rolling in between.
1. It should Not take 45 mins to soak off gel polish.
2. There is no need to grind anything off. I get them of in 10 to 15 mins and then GENTLY scrape the excess and resoak 5 mins if needed. Sounds like your salon is rushing its clientele out the door for more money. Find a new salon that will care for your nails and NOT your money

I honestly think it depends on the polish and the condition the polish is in when it is going to be soaked off. If it’s already lifting, it’ll be probably 15 MAX. If it’s still perfectly on, it’ll take about 30-45 minutes for them to come off.

100% agree, I’m an ex nail tech I wore acrylics for 4 years and gel polish for 6 my nails are perfect, it kinda sounded like a NSS salon from what she was saying x
I think you should file off the top coat, then soak off the polish. But i just file off everything with a nail drill. It takes less time, and if you know what you're doing, it actually is better for your nails than acetone. I never touch the nail surface, just file down to the base coat

Yes, with the top coat too! I never ever go to salons, heard too many horror stories about hygiene and infections. Sally Hansen is a godsend!

hey, im a nail technician and are sorry for your story... the bubbles in the gel happened. ecause probably she didnt let the first step of the gel cure the time it should,
maybe she was a starting technician 🤗 if the gel is work like it should, you should not have problems with your nails being strong . Love yours videos Tati keep up the good reviews ❤️❤️

Girl yes. I had a similar nail salon story. They shaved down my entire nail SO thin it hurt to get things out of my purse. Never again. For 3 months I was religious about keeping them as short as humanly possible, taking biotin, using tail tek and Trader Joe’s balm 5000 times a day. 3 months later and now 5 my nails are long and hard as rocks. No more gel or powder for me. Done.

Tati, use Shellac polish instead of gel. No chipping for 2 weeks. No grinding to remove, just soaking and it lifts right off.
@Autumn Pemberton shellac /gel polish is different than Gel nails which I THINK that's what Tati got..where you soak the nail off. I get Gel Nail polish.. so it does what Macon Reid says. You just soak it and it comes right off .
She gets gel polish, it’s the same as shellac. She’s not getting gel nails.
CND Shellac IS NOT the same as gel.

@Autumn I have had both, and the Shellac needs no filing to remove but gel does. I do my own nails at home with CND and soak them off with the remover.
Removing gel polish should not hurt. If you are doing only polish there is no need to grind your nails, at most a light file to rough up the top coat making it easier for acetone to get through.

LOVING the coo toned vibe on the eyes!!! So refreshing to see.
Ulta has dip nails. you can do like acrylic nails yourself at home, and don't have to grind your nails down. It lasts forever!
Ashley's Lash Corner like actually nail polish...because I use the same color most of the time and that might work.
@@breeanne1974 no is hard like acrylic nails. You paint on a base coat dip it in powder and file it so it's smooth and then put a top coat. They are hard and last like acrylic nails do but you only have to file the shine off your nail instead of grinding it down
Essie Gel Setter Top Coat. Hands down. It does NOT require a UV light; you can use it with any polish. It dries quickly and with a hard, glossy finish and is chip resistant for days. Love it!

Tati save up your money 😂 and get a LED/UV light from amazon. U can get the gel there too. No panic No chipping.

Also, when I do them from home, I never have to do the crazy long soak time. They come off way easier for me.

Essie has these new polishes that are kinda like a “gel” but there’s no light. The polishes are nice but really what works is the top coat! I use it with all of other polishes and it works just fine. Really good for chipping!!
Seriously the essie no light gel top coat in their twisted bottle is the best top coat I've used for no chipping!

I never let anyone do my face or nails. Those are my strong points and no one knows my face and how I like my nails like I do. CND original shellac is the best. No need to file the nails down. I use silicon finger tips rather than foil. Lasts as long as gel without all the damage. Solar oil helps keep cuticles soft and strengthens nails. I love how you contour!

The Orly "won't chip" topper is super thin, shiny, and makes my nails last around a week. That's a long time for me, since I also use my nails for everything! When used with either the Orly Rubberized base coat or Caption base coat they last a while. And the Essie gel like top coat in the twisty white bottle is really a good, thick, and shiny top coat. They all dry fast, too!

I really like the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel as a top coat, even if I'm using regular polish - it won't chip, because it's very flexible. I love it!

Sally Hansen top coat in a red bottle. It comes in a box. I use it with gelous base coat. Absolute best combo. I get almost a week out of my polish

Tati you can do gels at home it’s very easy - dehydrator, Bonder, soak off gel base coat, 1/2 nail polish 1/2 gel top coat mixed together, do twice as many (thin coats) as normal nail polish manicure (so probably 4 coats), cure between each layer. Lasts until I take if off. It will actually grow all the way out on your nails. Hope this makes someone’s day!
