Looking back, LBP was what Fortnite is trying (and arguably failing) to be. All the crossovers, a solid core game, for the creativity to be built around. Had LittleBigPlanet Hub worked out, maybe a few years later, it would've been just as big.
@@truthseeker7815 In my personal opinion, the creative side of Fortnite makes up a very small percentage of the playerbase, and even then, most levels don't sprout out of a beautiful creativity, rather, a desire to make money, akin to modern Roblox games.

That's what I'm saying, they even used to have carton cutouts of sack people at their stores. They need to bring it back, my only worry is that they won't because not enough kids are gonna get off roblox and fortnite to play lbp and make sony some money
A Little Big Planet 4 Would literally save Media Molecule if its done correctly Little Big Planet i feel like it deserves more, like being released on everything and maybe one day a remake of the first game with aspects of the other games, a better story, some of the other tools you can use, but still using the cardboard cutouts as characters

One thing I think would be a huge help to have the soundtracks (interactive and licensed) from LBP1 and LBP2 added to create mode, I want to relive the Beauty and sound of those tracks in levels to make even if I can’t share them
If Media Molecule makes LBP 4 they don't even know how hard I'd go for it. Hype it for all younger people I know and play it myself, maybe even get copies as gifts. Its such an important game that has no equal in my opinion
I feel like a LittleBigPlanet collection with all 3 games and it's online component and community levels would be a safer option for Media Molecule. Mainly cause all three of them are dead and would be the perfect time to port them to newer hardware.
While I’d love for there to be a new LBP game, many stars would have to align All we really need is a remaster of LBP3 (at least, the other games would be preferable) to the PS5 with enhanced servers
The new post about sony delisting LBP3 and all of the series' DLC was a bit of a gut punch, but to be honest if a fourth game is coming out, the engine for the first 3 games is frankly too old for PS5 standards. They would want to clean LBP3 off the slate as backwards compatability wouldnt be possible for levels , items, and DLC. Also removing it would put a lot more focus on a fourth game as even though it's bad news, maybe even the worst news, Sony are still acknowledging LittleBigPlanet to even the littlest degree, rather than quietly canning the entire series one day with no warning
The awful thing is that LBP 3 wasn't even a bad game! Hell, it was all we ever wanted or could imagine out of an even more creative version of our beloved creative franchise! But somehow...it feels like, it died not too long after realize, atleast for me. I barely played LBP3 mostly due to me being one of the last ps3 players that remained in my friendlist that owned the game the most moved on to the ps4! But still...the magic and excitement... Lost me? Idk i got the vibe from alot of other ppl as well, it's tragic and bitter sweet, it wasn't due to it being bad or half baked... It just maybe lost the handcrafted charm and passion of the first two games perhaps? Honestly, I think rn with what games are especially popular with the new zeitgeist and genration of ppl, we could need something like a little big planet in a widely accessible form! From pc to console to phone ( cuz for some reasons that's the trend atm) where everyone can hang out, share creations, meet new people and do all kinds of stuff! I miss those old simple days
Never liked the character swapping, or the art style of the story mode, it just doesnt feel like the game I fell in love with. the layer expansion was cool though. Lbp2 had probably the best design. it was a mix between cartoony DIY and techy reality. we had cool space ships god damnit.
It was an awful game. borderline unplayable. Constant profile corruptions, bugs, they never locked layers for older levels so lbp3s amount of layer broke every single 1 and 2 level. The story was the least memorable of all the games, switching characters was an awful mechanic to have, Swoop is just a reskin of the cape powerup, toggle could have been made with sackbots. Oddsock is pretty much useless as he is barely even any faster for being a "fast" character. Only thing this game had going for it was soundtrack and the new logic added.
I actually loved all the story modes for all 3 games. What made lbp3 "bad" was the online connection issues which made playing with friends/strangers so much more difficult with the constant crashing and disconnecting. Also I did wish they had kept to sackboys instead of the other characters. It made it too complicated with the switching.
I believe there's still hope for LBP4, if we continue to take care of this game and show Sony we want a new game, they will probably do somenthing similar.
I hope that if they do make another little big planet, the project will be driven by the strong creativity that we have come to know and love and not just by greed or a desparate struggle to maximise profits

Media Molecule making an LBP4 might "save" it, but they deserve (and should) create other projects besides that. It'd have to be so different to justify its existence but at the same time, being too different would sacrifice it's intergity and image as a littlebigplanet game. Suffice to say...this game isn't happening. The best thing MM could do is Remaster 1 and 2 for Playstation 5 with brand new servers and include any DLCs they made for these games; of course excluding obvious brand/IP integrations that got removed... since you can no longer buy DLC for LBP1 or LBP2. It'd be a lot of work upscaling all the sticker textures and some would have to be redone entirely, and of course certain copyright tracks may have to be removed if they no longer hold the respective rights...but i know they're capable of doing this.
