    I had x-ray and ultrasound on my right knee 4 days ago. Family doctor found out that I have effusion of my knee. He advised me to see a physiotherapist, but there is hesitation because I can't afford the fee ($120-160 per 1 hour session). I will try these exercises when I get home. Thank you so much for sharing this video.

      You're welcome, @melchormarioguzon8958! I'm glad I could provide some exercises that you can try at home. It's understandable that the cost of physiotherapy sessions can be a concern, but these exercises can be a good starting point to help you manage your knee effusion. Remember to perform them gently and stop immediately if you experience any pain or discomfort.

      Any improvement? I’m on the same boat . Unfortunately, no health insurance and have been on excruciating knee pain . I had to go see and ortho doctor who performed X-rays as well as an MRI of the knee $1,085 in both visits . I too was advised to see a PT but can’t afford those sessions . Unfortunately my case is more complicated since the MRI showed patellar chondromalacia, which is the deterioration of the cartilage behind the knee cap, along with knee cap subluxation, effusion and MCL sprain .

    Hello, I had a small knee injury on my right leg. I had an X-Ray and MRI scans which confirmed that I have a knee effusion. I was instructed to follow a few exercises which I have been following consistently for 1 and a half months. I’ve noticed huge improvements, but there’s a small lump which isn’t going. Any advise please? Thank you

      @FeelGoodLife  5 місяців тому +4

      Hey there, @EmKaysArts! I'm so happy to hear that you're seeing improvements in your knee from doing the exercises. That's fantastic!
      Now, about that small lump - it could be because of a few things. It might be some leftover swelling or inflammation, or it could be related to the healing process like scar tissue forming.
      Since we aren't able to do a physical exam and see exactly what is going on with your knee, I can't for sure recommend what exercises you should do. However, let me share a great resource that might be able to help you. Please check out this link: www.feelgoodlife.com/knee-exercises-for-arthrofibrosis

    Hello, I had syovial fluid extracted 5 days ago in my left knee. I play badminton every weekday. I am having slight discomfort in my left knee after the cortisteroid injection to my left knee. Can I do these exercises to strengthen my knee and continue to start playing badminton again? Thank you!

    • @FeelGoodLife
      @FeelGoodLife  4 місяці тому +1

      Since we aren't able to do a physical exam and see exactly what is going on with your knee, I can't for sure recommend what exercises you should do. However, it's crucial to follow your healthcare provider's advice after your knee treatment. If you're feeling slight discomfort, consider these steps:
      1. Talk to your healthcare provider about the discomfort and ask when it's safe to start activities like playing badminton.
      2. Stick to any post-treatment instructions given by your healthcare provider, including rest and avoiding certain activities.
      3. If approved, start with gentle exercises recommended by your healthcare provider or a physical therapist.
      4. Pay attention to how your knee feels during exercises. If there's more discomfort or pain, stop and check with your healthcare provider before continuing.
      5. While badminton is energetic, hold off on high-impact activities initially. Your healthcare provider can guide you on when it's safe to resume these activities.
      Always put your health first and seek professional advice when needed. To give you a better context of the exercises in the video, let me share with you the related article. Please check on this link: www.feelgoodlife.com/best-knee-effusion-exercises

    My ultrasound scan reports minimal knee joint effusion with supra patellar effusion..help me

    • @FeelGoodLife
      @FeelGoodLife  6 місяців тому

      Hi, @Akibmohamd! Since we aren't able to do a physical exam and see exactly what is going on with your knee, I can't for sure recommend what exercises you should do. However, if your ultrasound shows "minimal knee joint effusion with supra patellar effusion," it means there's a small amount of fluid above your kneecap, possibly due to reasons like injury or inflammation.
      Here are some general tips I can give you:
      1. Allow your knee to rest, and use ice to reduce swelling. Follow the R.I.C.E. method: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.
      2. Consider using a compression stocking and elevating your leg to help reduce fluid buildup.
      3. Ask your doctor for any recommended nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to manage pain and inflammation.
      4. Consult a physical therapist to guide you through exercises to strengthen your knee and improve flexibility.
      5. Stick to any recommendations or restrictions given by your doctor. If they prescribe medication or suggest further tests, it's crucial to follow their guidance.

    • @FeelGoodLife
      @FeelGoodLife  8 місяців тому

      Hey, @welovepoliticalscience1370! The time it takes for knee effusion to heal can vary widely from person to person and depends on several factors, including the underlying cause of the effusion, the severity of the condition, and the effectiveness of the treatment and rehabilitation.
      It's important to keep in mind that recovery from knee effusion can be a gradual process. While some individuals may experience improvement in a matter of weeks, others may take several months to fully recover. The key is to be patient and diligent in following your healthcare provider's advice and treatment plan.

Couldn’t bend it or even lift it without using my hands to help it! It’s been a week and a half and the doctor says I have fluid in my knee, is that so? Why do I still get pain in my kneecap? Why do I feel like if I bend my knee too much my kneecap or a vein will pop ? Please help me out I want to get back in the gym and back to my normal life.

      Hi, @sangambabu8631! The relief timeline depends on the cause and how well these suggestions work. Let me share with you some suggestions that can help you
      1.Give your knee time to rest and avoid straining it.
      2. Apply ice to help reduce swelling. Follow the R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) method.
      3. Use a compression bandage and elevate your leg when possible to help minimize fluid accumulation.
      4. Non-prescription pain relievers, like acetaminophen or ibuprofen (if safe for you), can help manage pain and inflammation. Follow recommended dosages.
      5. Schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider, like a primary care physician or orthopedic specialist. They can examine you, order tests if needed, and provide a diagnosis and treatment plan.

      In how many days will knee effusion be cured by this excercise?

    • @FeelGoodLife
      @FeelGoodLife  10 місяців тому +1

      The time it takes for knee effusion (also known as water on the knee) to heal through exercise can vary depending on the severity of the condition, individual factors, and the type of exercise prescribed. Since we aren't able to do a physical exam and see exactly what is going on with your knee, I can't for sure say how soon it can be cured.
      Knee effusion is a symptom of an underlying issue, such as an injury or an inflammatory condition. Treatment may involve a combination of rest, ice, compression, elevation, and exercises as recommended by a healthcare professional or physical therapist.

      You're welcome, @xallisonpaige! I'm sorry to hear about your knee pain and the uncertainty surrounding its cause. It can be frustrating when medical tests don't provide a clear answer. The small effusion or fluid on your knee might be an indicator of inflammation or a minor injury, but without more specific findings, it can be challenging to determine the exact source of your discomfort.
      Physical therapy (PT) is often recommended in cases like yours because it can be effective in relieving pain and improving joint function. While it's understandable to be skeptical about the potential benefits of PT, it's worth giving it a try. Working with a skilled physical therapist can make a difference, as they can assess your condition and develop a personalized treatment plan to target your specific needs.
