- A lot of people are moving from California to Boise, Idaho. Why? Today I’ll tell you my story of why so many of our clients are moving from California to Boise, Idaho!
Boise, Idaho is a truly wonderful place to live. Many of our clients have shared with us that they have always lived in California, but as they began raising their families, they started to notice certain aspects of California that they weren't entirely fond of.

We're refugees from Portland too (Lake Oswego) as of 3 years. We LOVE it here! (in Hidden Springs). Property tax is literally 75% less for a larger home/more property w/views. We love the SUN! Enjoy your channel.

Though there is sales tax in both CA and ID, ID has sales tax on everything, including food...CA does not tax food. FYI

You get a grocery credit every year on your Idaho Income Tax. Idaho also does not tax Social Security,
Ladies , LOTS of men in ID who love women and near Boise, go up past McCall to Yellow Pine in August for the harmonica festival- what a hoot !!

Boise is a great place to live (prices have gotten a bit out of control though). Lived there for three years currently in Bentonville AR...which is also a fantastic place to live. Grew up in Long Beach CA...never going back.

Treasure valley has a lot of people and traffic.

I have 2 couple friends that moved from San Diego to Boise. They are now getting divorced 🤷🏼♀️

The only thing California dosn't tax that Idaho does ironicly is winning the lotto. You don't have to pay state taxes, but still federal

When they libertarians took over Idaho they promised us that they would lower our taxes. Instead, they chained women to beds and gave Special Rights to rapists. I wish Orange County would go the fuck back to California. Idaho was a blue state until OC moved here in the 80s. They run this state like a theocracy. So much for "libertarian." Its all just a ruse. They're as right-wing christo-fascist as any maga republican.

As a Californian ive been recommended Boise for the livable cost of living. Im interested🙂 the only thing that worries me is being near the Yellowstone Super Volcano and Snow fall😅
Boise could be a great options for depending on what you're looking for.... but yes we are close to Yellowstone. What do you like about Idaho?
It's "median" home price, not "medium" home price. They mean essentially the same thing, but are not synonymous.

The thing about California is there are swaths of low crime, high quality of life, freedom minded folks but it’s expensive, unless you been dug in for awhile also easy for some to get caught up With keeping up with the Joneses/cheese dlcks
I've worked all around the country I loved Boise it was one of the cleanest cities that I've worked in in the nation, bring all the people from Cali and going to last for long.
Boise is a great place. I talk with a lot of families from Cali and the ones I talk to are gonna be a great fit for boise.

I thought about it moving to Boise but giving up family, SoCal weather, friends, mountains, and the especially ocean, I just can't pull the trigger. Despite living next to delusional wokesters and the all too common lazy drug addicted bums, I still have it good enough to stay.

Machinist jobs hiring out there or near areas
It's the number 1 most boring state, according to stats. With crappy weather (not cold enough if you like winter for treasure valley and so hot in the summer- hvac goes on 24/7). Sure you may be able to buy a home, but it's crowded now. Taxes are about the same from oregon to idaho, depending on your income. If you are on the poverty level, Oregon will give you benefits and if you make $$$ the taxes even out from oregon to idaho.
Yes, utilities are cheaper in idaho bc you need an HVAC for all year long.

Sucks either way if your paid minimum wage.
Southern California is a nice place to live if you are super wealthy and live within 5 miles of the beach. San Diego was a chill place only 10-15 years ago, not anymore. Tahoe, shit snow, crazy prices now. The rest of California is just OK and crazy expensive. Taxes on everything, car emissions that can totally screw you, big crackdowns of use of public lands, off road use, no 2 stroke moto's etc. Idaho, over rated but really cool for land use. A lot of racist, no joke! Washington and Oregon, super expensive as well. Bottom line is it is hard to find a good place to live in the US now that is affordable.
I'd get back to CA ASAP.

Um, visit Idaho well before committing to moving there.
Look at the history of each place carefully because it definitely is not a California experience.
The political lean may make some think twice about moving to quite a few of the areas, even around Boise.
If you’re trying to turn Idaho blue, just stay in California. You’ve already ruined one state, don’t try to ruin ours too. There is a reason Idaho is still nice and California isn’t.
I live in California; idk why you’d share all the wonderful reasons why CA residents would want to move to ID! If I were you, I’d say all the reasons why they shouldn’t move to ID! With a huge CA influx, politics will probably change & not for the better(hence look at how the majority of CA votes!) my advice to you, deter CA & any other blue upside down state to move to ID unless you want to ruin it. Kidding not kidding!
Californians have been moving here since the 70s. They have already changed our politics and our culture because most are conservatives who moved from a liberal state. We used to be much more bipartisan. Now the state legislature is controlled by people who want to ban everything from books to abortion.
Quality of life and low crime in California. lol. Sure.
