We are in AZ and looking to move to Boise. Spent almost a month there this last summer through the 4th. Been looking at Idaho though since the mid 90’s. Wish we would have pulled the trigger then. Anyway, we are all in o n the North End area. We’ll see how the market goes this year to sell then figure out the buying.

I think he's selling houses to people with assets. Stocks, rental houses, etc vs people who trade their time for money. People who trade their time for money make no money. But the ppl who own all the assets....their net worth just doubles in 3-4 years. They keep printing more money....goes to the rich ppl who already have everything. Now there is no cheap housing west of Denver. Gonna have to relocate to North Dakota or West Texas or something. Anyone under 40 has no chance to be able to afford anything. Great content. I'm a little confused about buying a resale home or a new home and the advantages or disadvantages of both. I'm getting ready to retire in November and we're sure if we should buy or rent at 60 years old. We've come out to Boise many times to visit our daughter and would really like to move there.

I was born and raise in Boise and it makes me really sad how the foothills are just turning into a new construction zone, enough already 😢

My goal in life is to have 1000+ acres in idaho or montana and live off the land ....I'm from oklahoma so I think I would fit in well....but northern idaho would be my favorite...and i hate California...im not affraid of the idaho people push back ...i push back alot harder ....but having the options to live more like back in the old west and have american freedom ...oklahoma isnt bad at all its just not as beautiful as idaho or montana....and more wildlife

Having lived in Boise for 22 years, now we live near Bend, we noticed that Boise has multiple of everything, feels much larger as a city and is cleaner. Bend has most things, but only one of them, feels way more rural, even when you are within the city you can find yourself feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere, worse road system and fewer real jobs that can sustain a family. Both have skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, etc but Boise adds more boating and rafting. Bend has reservoirs but only one that you can really enjoy boating on. Boise has multiple, Bend has one.

Was there a gym?

Bought in Eastern Idaho back in 2009 but working overseas. Retiring soon and hope I can afford to go to my house. If I have to sell, Thailand is an option. Or some other country as the US has gotten way too expensive. Makes me sad, so much I want to check out.

What is the OB-GYN situation in Boise? I have heard in other areas (mainly in north Idaho) there has been an exodus.

My in-laws settled in Caldwell because they couldn't afford where they initially looked. It turned out to be great for them though. They are happy there. Wish theie schools are better.

Having lived on the East Coast and now in Hawaii, my first reaction is "Where are the trees?' 🤣 My wife and I are getting ready to move back to the contiguous 48 in the next month or two and are going to rent before we decide to buy. You probably don't get into rentals, but are you able to refer me to a property management company? If you were considering Bend, OR you didn’t move to Idaho for the reasons why most move here, which is freedom. Moving somewhere solely for “lifestyle” purposes is a very “normie” mindset. This is why Eagle and Meridian are the way the are. It feels like mini California.

I'm from Kellogg, Idaho. I moved to Denver after high school. I'm moving back. I HATE it here. It's full of insane gun laws, communism, DEI, illegal immigrants, and ridiculous soft on crime policies. I don't even walk at dusk because of all of the crime.
