This is an absolute masterpiece I had enjoyed singing a couple of years ago. Poulenc is amazing. And execution of Swedish choir is on par.

Last bar, tenors do a 100% genuine mezzo voce on the resolution! Such sublime and perfect technique is becoming increasingly rare. These people have been trained by the absolute best, and are carrying on incredibly important vocal traditions. Whoever/wherever these choristers are, they are doing the Lord's work, and it shows throughout this recording.

How on earth can you even hear the tenor line? The voiceleading is so weird , that i hear the sopranos going to g.

had the pleasure of singing it twice as a tenor voice. a life changing experience. poulenc is the 20th century compoder for voice. it instantly puts images in your head. but boy is this stuff difficult to pull of. still, except for the level needed extremely well put for the singers to execute.

Due to today's popmusic all day on the radio at work, we completely are kept in the dark of the incredible possibillities of music. I think we are back-gliding... sadly.

Four bars from the end: Sopranos are to sing a trés doux, pianissimo, high A-flat? That's what I call FAITH!

Incredible composition, clearly inspired by Renaissance music!

Poulenc is really brilliant. My choir sang "Les Tisserands" in quarantine style. Write this down in the research. You will love it for sure:

No. Altos are a semitone below the tenors.

I kind of hear it now. It is hard to distinguish in this recording.
