They actually talk about this specifically in an episode.. either way is correct it depends on what you desire out of the movement. Moving the pivot foot and rotating makes it a more athletic movement for function while keeping it stationary is less athletic but still has value as it activates less muscle groups.
When doing high low chops, isn't it best to not pivot the feet or twist the hips in order to get better core activation?
