I always love these little pouches. Now that we've done the first 4 volumes I have many pretty treasures to collage with and enough to make plenty of pouches. Great start for the new year.
My first attempt to follow you and to make one of your projects with you. I love your videos. Finally getting the courage to create . Thank you for your teaching and for sharing your thoughts as you plan and create.
Perfect. I have just discovered the journal of Stitchery challenges and am currently doing the original sampler. I really want to make a stitchbook and have it as a display piece in my home, but I have also decided I need a travel sewing kit so I can take my slow stitching (AKA embroidery???) with me since I do it all over the place. I sat down and designed it this afternoon and then I see this video.... this set of prompts will be perfect for that.... then I can go back and do the journal pages (maybe using the next set of prompts...)
Excited for this one Rachel, thank you to you and Sarah for putting these stitch a longs out for us to follow. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with... Cheers.
I like it so far Rachel. The fabrics go very well together. I wish I had a piece of that black & white pattern fabric. Judy. ps. I've made a couple of these in the last few years. I love them!
I hadn't planned on joining in with Project 5, after following you and Sarah with all the other projects. Life has changed during 2023 and I don't have the free time I once had to dedicate towards Slow Stitching but of course I had to watch this first prompt video and of course I feel inspired and want to join in yet again. I like the fact all the monthly projects are individual. So possibly I can pick and choose to do some months projects and not do others. Your always an inspiration Rachel. Thank you. ❤
My first Stitchery video and I think I’m gonna be trying a new to me crafting style. I have a whole new language and skills to learn 😂. Will need to look at some of your absolute beginner videos
Makes me think of possibility of case to hold eyeglasses or sunshades. Love your style! Also makes me think of a traveling fabric jewelry trifold case I have.
So excited for this new round of stitching projects! As always your choice of fabrics and color combinations are fabulous. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
My goodness, your fabrics and laces are gorgeous. A trifold pouch. How fun is this.!!!! With all the talent in this group it will be fun to see what they make. Thank you for Volume #5
Already loving the base fabric mix! Beauiful colors! This is great for my hopes to make a needle book some day. Gotta finish my RJoS Vol. 4 project first : ))
wow! i'm so excited about this project! i love making pouches.i was inspired by the ones you've shown us these past few years. i'm enjoying watching you choose your fabrics and their placement. i can spend hours pulling out fabrics and trying them until i get crazy with it and have to remind myself that this is NOT brain surgery and it is supposed to be fun. as always, it is wonderful to see all of your fabrics and laces on your desk. thanks so much to you and your sis for this lovely 6 month project. loving it already. appreciatively, linda from california
This project looks like fun but I have to go back to volume 4 Treasure Hunt as that is not finished yet and there is still a lot to do on that. Happy stitching!
Love the pouch start to your new series, always wanted to make one (or two)! As always your talented sense of color and design just shine through!!! Also -- food for thought for a possible next series? -- Like many I'm sure -- I'm still working on finishing/details of 3 other of your series!!(1,3,4 oh gosh!!) Guess I just don't work so fast and crank things out like some do, but after all, it is SLOW stitch, haha. SO, my suggestion is a series on "Finishing" - where you and the viewers could go back to your other series and "finish". OR new viewers could pull out unfinished projects of their own. Could be any number of techniques to share: relooking to see what a piece "needs", embroidery of many kinds (or words), backing a piece, edges, creating how to hang or display, "signing"/dating your piece.... just a thought, I know I'd love it and might be able to catch up too!!! And Happy New Year to you! 💞💞💞💞💞💞🧵🧵🪡🪡
Looks great....may I ask where you source your lace from ....I feel really guilty about cutting up my grandmothers lace, which she made for me....thanks
I have recently discovered your channel and am loving your creations! I'm anxious to start a pouch but I do have a question. How do you use all of the pouches you make?
Hi there! Me, again! I've got a question. Are you going to put a lining on the inside (over the batting)? Depending on what you use the pouch for, the batting could pill & separate. Just a suggestion.
@eations679 uggh....sorry. I swear I looked and couldn't find it but i did my search on my phone at the time and that never works for me! On my laptop wasn't a problem.
I am so excited for this ❤ so happy to participate after years of wanting to join! Thank you for creating another amazing project for us!

Perfect. I have just discovered the journal of Stitchery challenges and am currently doing the original sampler. I mostly buy the lace from antique markets. Thank you so much!
I love that pin cushion, do you have a tutorial? ❤
It was a tutorial by Ann Wood on her blog.
I have recently discovered your channel and am loving your creations! I'm anxious to start a pouch but I do have a question. How do you use all of the pouches you make?
I mostly use them to carry around projects I'm working on. Thank you so much!
Thank you!!
Love your creativity
I've done mine asb per this video. When does the next one come out. Sorry, but I'm new to your stitchery. Challenges
Every Wednesday. Thank you so much!
