I caught most of these, but thank you for pointing out some of the more subtle little details. I believe Mordecai knows Ivy, as he was previously in Atlas's employ, which is the reason for Serafine's comment about him getting sentimental or something like that. He knows her personally, and she's just too pure hearted and sweet to just gun her down like that. I believe this is meant to show us that there is actually more to Mordecai than a brutal, remorseless killer - he actually does have some shred of humanity (catmanity?) left in him. Hi! I love this! I wanted to point out when Freckle gets flustered, he's not terribly flustered when he's with Ivy! In fact, when everyone's shuffling about and just as Ivy takes Freckle's arm, Viktor notices this. Viktor gives Freckle a death glare, in which Freckle notices Viktor. And when it pans back to Mitzi, Viktor, Wick, Ivy and Freckle, right before Ivy takes Freckle to dance, he's looking right over at where Viktor is off screen lol We love this surrogate dad sm

I really liked Mordecai’s clock ticking, and how it happened for all 3 of the lackadaisy dudes, first for Rocky, then Freckle, then Ivy! I loved this pilot so much it makes my artist side so joyous. I watched the whole pilot at 0.25x speed so I could take everything in, but i still didn’t catch a lot of these :O Much props to the animators, storyboarders, n cleanup artists for giving so much life and character to these guys, even if its very subtle details it pays off so well!! I’ll rewatch it another time, and I’ll try to catch more of the smaller details :)
OK so, this isn’t universally accepted but this is the best explanation i could think of that made sense. Mordecai did not shoot at the car when they were leaving the mines because he saw Ivy driving it. In the comic, it is known that Ivy is the goddaughter of Atlas, who was also Mordecai’s employer in the past who shaped who he is in the present (eg. he was given sharp clothing by Atlas when he was first employed and has dressed sharply ever since). Mordecai also appears to take a great interest in situations regarding Atlas, and so i believe that out of respect (or for some other unclear motive based on his over-fixation of Atlas) he would not shoot dead the goddaughter of his former employer. If you have not yet read the comic i suggest you do so ASAP, it makes for a very different viewing of the animation (i assume, i read the comic was back around 2015 so i wouldn’t know the viewing experience of not reading the comic first, if that makes sense).
I didn't even know the comic existed before reading these comments, so I can remark perhaps on viewing it without prior knowledge. I enjoyed it immensely as a pure fun film, picking up several of the period references, like Isadora Duncan's death. The animation is brilliantly fluid, the movements of characters and 'accessories' realistic. Freckles reminds me of a young Jimmy Cagney, several of the 'boys' in the saloon are equally familiar from 30's gangster movies. (I was waiting for Paul Muni to show up)as is Mitzi. (C'mon up an'....see me sometime. Does she ever get to say that?) I like the accuracy of the vehicles, the technical details - the steam shovel's controls for example clearly look like they work - and the sheer quality of the artwork in general. Details - the wind blown leaves on the bridge, the fireflies, Freckles' nervousness, Rocky's madness, Ivy's sort of tarnished innocense (love the bit where she throws up at the drink!)- but can't relate to Nicodemus and his sister, who reminds me of Theda Barra with that hair cut. Somehow those two don't seem as 'human' or appealing as the other three. The usual Hollywood stereotype of course - the Thompson gun or other weapons blasting bullets everywhere and hitting everything but the 'live' characters! Great fun.
Theirs tons of Easter eggs from the comic Spaghetti arms I wish my mom was here Cactus friend and pancakes Circus tent because Rocky was in the circus Him singing whiskey in the jar It’s just so damn good
I love how in the comics Ivy is pretty much like “So um Viktor I went shopping since you snapped Chad’s arms and legs, and I chose this one!” And Freckle was just like **um okay, that happened** It was just really funny how he didn’t even question it.
One that I guess isn't a hidden detail because it was the main focus but I feel like a lot of people didn't immediately notice was when mitzy saw their car pull in and her ears drooped and her eyes followed. She's just like: "What the hell"
Two things missed, first Ivy: You owe me a dance Freckle: I do? Ivy: Yes, I've decided Second: the final post credit bit where Sable goes to the quarry and finds everything destroyed.
In one of the comics (idk if its canon or just. Crack. But hey, crack can be canon) rocky had mordecai drink some funky juice that made him see and hear every bacteria and germ, i dont blame him for not holding back to shoot rocky/j aLSO its said and shown mordecai was partners in crime with mitzi's bartender!! (His name is vickor methinks??) so perhaps he got some respect and (platonic) love for some of the crew, hence why he decided to not shoot ivy. Wild cat lady probs went "getting sentimental about old times" cuz she knew he still had some heart for some of lackadaisy's crew
Mordecai didn't shoot ivy due to her being Atlas goddaughter. Also Atlas being Mordecai mentor / father type figure to him and right handman to him before his murder.
If you haven't read the comic or seen any of the official comic dubs don't read FURTHER!!! I will be talking about Mordecai and Ivy Mordecai most likely didn't shoot at Ivy because of his days working at lackadaisy as a partner with Viktor the barman who has an almost father like relationship with ivy in the comics as she's the only one Viktor refuses to threaten, Mordecai is okay with shooting Rocky who unlike Ivy has given many in canon reason to be on his shitlist and Freckle who he has no prior working relationship. He knows that if he harmed Ivy, Viktor would have more of reason to hunt him down then just the fact that Mordecai kneecapped him on the way out when he left to work for Asa Sweet.
Another detail, is when Ivy calls Rocky ‘mudbug’ I think it’s a reference to the webcomic, where a shopkeeper called Rocky and Freckle ‘Stitches and Mudbug’
i have a theory for why mordecai didnt shoot when he saw ivy! potential spoilers if youre new to the comic?? if you read the comics you'll know that serafine's reference to mordecai's "old times" is about when he worked under atlas for lackadaisy, and its also revealed in the comic that atlas was ivy's godfather and that she was regularly taken to the lackadaisy speakeasy by her father as a child where she was "treated like royalty" im assuming his sentiments *did* get to him in that scene, and he didnt want to shoot ivy for that reason
I noticed that Ivy is wearing the same type of hat the Viktor wears. She's copying him and it's adorable. Also Viktor getting pissed when Freckle and Ivy go off to dance is priceless and I love it. It's in a similar vein of storytelling as Mordecai not wanting to shoot Ivy as she's driving away. Like yes these two are absolutely terrifying and have undeniably committed several murders, but at the end of the day neither of them want to hurt her or see her get hurt.
Lets be honest, of not for Rocky's creative thinking, HE'D BEEN SHOT IN THAT CHASE As for Mordecai not shooting Ivy, i was wondering that as well, so here's what i've got (Backstory/spoilers) Mordecai met Atlas when he was on the run from a New York mob, thus he started working at Lackadaisy, partnering up with Viktor (who he kneecapped so he could retire after Atlas died) (Keep in mind Viktor is somewhat protective of Ivy, even shown in the episode here) Now, how this all ties with Ivy is that she could be seen as the heart of the group I say this due to her relationship with the characters and her lore: Viktor is like some sort of protective father figure to Ivy Ivy is in love with Freckel But most importantly here, she's the goddaughter of the late Atlas and Mitzy This probably explains two things with Mordecai: 1. He feels endowed to Altas still 2. Him and Viktor ebing under his command probably lead to them feeling/told to protect Ivy, thus leading to Ivy to grow on them both BUT HEY, THAT'S JUST A THEORY; *A FILM THEORY!!*
Rocky and Freckle as kittens are so cute I *can't*- (⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝) (too bad Ms. McMurray destroys their dreams of eating pancakes every millisecond)
1:37 I noticed that when the gang is first caught and Ivy is backward driving, there is a short clip where Mordecai sees Ivy and is surprised for a bit. Do they know each other?! Is that why he didn’t shoot?! Is this the “sentimental about old times” thing!? I’m hyped to find out! Btw, have not seen the comic… yet.
That's such a good point omg As an original comic reader I think i MIGHT know??? I rlly need to reread them though cuz i feel like I know but I'm just not sure I will say atlas was ivy's godfather because her father and atlas were close friends, and mordecai worked for the lackadaisy with viktor when atlas was still alive before moving on to work for the marigold after atlas died, so maybe there's a connection there (there prob is tbh)
He does indeed know who she is and there are reasons he didn’t shoot her, when he had the shot and very easily could’ve taken it. I won’t say since you may read the comic, but there are many more reasons that the comments haven’t said, and I’ll refrain from spoilers 😉😉😉😉 Edit: love how I say I won’t share spoilers and people below proceed to share even more spoilers 😭 there is _still_ another reason that isn’t mentioned yet tho ✌️
I’ve only seen the official Lackadaisy dubs that are on the channel so I might be wrong, but Mordecai also feels autism coded to me? Is that plausible in any way since you seem to have been following Lackadaisy longer? :)
@@strangeactuallylegume he could be. It’s also credible cuz both Rocky and Mordecai are able to have longer conversations with each other in the side comics, than what they have with other characters. And if they were neurodivergent, it would explain that ability to understand one another better.
Realistically, they would have come back with barely any bottles, if they even arrived with bottles... if they even arrived alive... A BAR carries some heavy punch, and could have easily killed Rocky n Gang.
I’m a bit late, but I have a small theory as to why Mordecai couldn’t bring himself to pull the trigger on Ivy. In the mini comics, Mordecai and Viktor were shown to spend a lot of time together before Mordecai left. And if you read the comics, you’d know that Viktor and Ivy are very close, much like a father and a daughter, so her and Mordecai would have had to spent at least a little bit of time together through Viktor. Also in the mini comics, Mordecai has several sisters with dark fur and black hair, much like Ivy. They are also very bubbly and outgoing, again, much like Ivy. His sisters are mentioned to be one of the few things that can make him genuinely smile, and I think that’s why he couldn’t shoot Ivy, because she reminded him of his sisters. This is just a little theory I have, and I could be 180 degrees off, but that’s my guess :)
This was amazing, in all other animations characters in background just stand there or pass by. Not here, lackadaisy team give so much live around. I love it

i love the detail that the water tower explodes cause all of the dynamite were in the scooper (?) of the crane, and as it skid across the top it produced sparks
Also fun fact the news article that Mitzi is reading is talking about the death of a real dancer named Isidora Duncan, who died in 1927 when her absurdly long scarf got caught in the back wheel of her car. On second thought that’s not a very fun fact.
Also while Rocky is being poetic in the beginning, you can hear the train in the distance, the same one that scares them later. No sleep, i loved that detail
1:38 Tbh I think Mordecai didn't shoot because of his connection to Lackadaisy (he was their member until Altas died) so I think he just had an emotional connection to Ivy becuase he knew full well she is just an unexperienced girl and he just couldn't kill her
2:28 also Victor scrapes his claws in the table because he's furious at freckle an protective of ivy here, a similar thing happened in the comics. (Aso mitizi rests her hand on victors arm to reassure him it's okay)
This video is funny to start but NGL videos with a million split second comments on screen I can't possibly catch without pausing and slowing it down every single time is more annoying than it's worth to watch it all the way through. One or two in compilation videos is usually funny, but the amount in this one finally got on my nerves.
1:36 the reason mordecai didn't shoot here is because in the books, Ivy is actually a god-daughter of his former boss (at least, from what i heard, i didn't read the books) and he couldn't bring himself to shoot Ivy. idk tho source: ua-cam.com/video/8K6NIdbLUps/v-deo.html
1:36 Why didn't he shoot her? He tried to shoot Rocky and Freckle but not Ivy! Why? 1. Ivy looks like his sister. 2. Wouldn't hurt a girl. 3. Future love interest? (God, I hope not! Ivy and Freckle are like peas and carrots 😄) All I know is he better not kill my boys or my girl!
1:37 I think the reason he didn't shoot is because he ran out of breath, its common for snipers, sharpshooters, etc.. to hold their breath so the moving of their chest from the lungs inflate and deflate docent throw off the shot. you can see mordecai visibly and audibly exhale. BUT HEY THAT JUST A THEORY, A FILM THEORY!
With regard to why Mordecai didn't shoot Ivy. Mordecai was born in 1899, making him ~28 at the time of this pilot. Ivy is roughly 18 (I think). Both of them were raised within the circle of Lackadaisy, Mordecai being taken in by Atlas at a young age and Ivy being raised by her father, who was close to Atlas. Most likely, the two of them have an acquaintanceship of some sort, if not a friendship, and that was what made Mordecai lower the gun.
Hi this might have already been said, but I too wondered why he didn't take the shot, also, remember what Serafine said about him getting senitmental? It could be for another reason but afterreading the comic, I learned that he had a history with the lackadaisy speakeasy, and direct -I think positive- interactions with Atlas himself. :)
I can tell it was made by loving animators. No hire up would say "you can keep tails" seeing how much they are animated. I mean look at them dolars wagging around.
I liked how Mitzi was reading the obituaries when she got introduced, because in one of the first pages of the comic, she said that the Lackadaisy’s finances were so depressing that she was reading the obituaries instead “for a laugh”
One thing I've noticed that few people seem to comment on: The news story Mizzi reads to Atlas' portrait. It's a real one and it gives us a pretty good idea of when exactly this incident takes place...like, down to a week or less.
to me this is basically a better version of Helluva Boss. It had major dark and adult themes without being all over the top and gross. The world-building and setting is similar, but it's easier to digest and fully consistent.
Can't forget the detail of Victor continuing to hate Ivy's boyfriends for some reason. When Ivy hugs Freckles you can see him getting surprised and squinting angrily at Freckles!
I thought the same thing when Mr. Sweet said “dragons” and he puffs out his smoke like a dragon! Also I’m pretty sure Mordecai didn’t shoot at Ivy cause she’s Atlas’ goddaughter. I read the comics recently in like one night lol.

In fact, when everyone's shuffling about and just as Ivy takes Freckle's arm, Viktor notices this. Viktor gives Freckle a death glare, in which Freckle notices Viktor. And when it pans back to Mitzi, Viktor, Wick, Ivy and Freckle, right before Ivy takes Freckle to dance, he's looking right over at where Viktor is off screen lol
We love this surrogate dad sm
OHH YA UR RIGHT HAHA I'm not surprised, i love that viktor is just naturally protective over ivy it's so good
He broke her last boyfriends legs. Freckle should be scares
If he was a dad he wouldn't be so hostile to Ivy
@@SirToaster9330That's his personality he's very serious and grumpy even to those he loves he's also very overprotective of Ivy and beat up all of her previous boyfriends she had
@@SirToaster9330Viktor actually has a daughter of his own in the comics, but her appearance has yet to be shown
2:25 Freckle is scared by Victor
(he broke all the limbs of her past boyfriend)
I really liked Mordecai’s clock ticking, and how it happened for all 3 of the lackadaisy dudes, first for Rocky, then Freckle, then Ivy! I loved this pilot so much it makes my artist side so joyous. I watched the whole pilot at 0.25x speed so I could take everything in, but i still didn’t catch a lot of these :O
Much props to the animators, storyboarders, n cleanup artists for giving so much life and character to these guys, even if its very subtle details it pays off so well!!
Ye im thinkin that's why too. Makes the most sense!
Great fun.
Theirs tons of Easter eggs from the comic
Spaghetti arms
I wish my mom was here
Cactus friend and pancakes
Circus tent because Rocky was in the circus
Him singing whiskey in the jar
It’s just so damn good
1:53 I think Zib just wants to cosplay Walter White really bad
This right here
I love how in the comics Ivy is pretty much like “So um Viktor I went shopping since you snapped Chad’s arms and legs, and I chose this one!” And Freckle was just like **um okay, that happened**
It was just really funny how he didn’t even question it.
One that I guess isn't a hidden detail because it was the main focus but I feel like a lot of people didn't immediately notice was when mitzy saw their car pull in and her ears drooped and her eyes followed. She's just like: "What the hell"
Ikr that part is so funny
this pilot is so awesome, the more I watch it the more I notice something new :D
The detail in the short was astounding. So many little callbacks to the comic.
Two things missed, first
Ivy: You owe me a dance
Freckle: I do?
Ivy: Yes, I've decided
Second: the final post credit bit where Sable goes to the quarry and finds everything destroyed.
@@DI-QueenmoEMino ohh!! I thought he and ivy interacted before! Nonetheless, that's interesting
I am normal about lackadaisy
Oh, me too. 100% normal about this. Not obsessing at all.
@@SpiderxPunk like ofc im gonna become fixated again I've waited 3 god damn years for the pilot and every second was worth it 🥹
Not fixated whatsoever, nothing to see in our direction

Totally
We're having very normal moments all around
I also am VERY normal about Lackadaisy- not mildly obsessed at all
I too also noticed the Whiskey in the Jar song Rocky was humming being yet another reference from the comic later chapters.
OOOOO I DIDNT REALIZE god i rlly need to reread the comics
1:54 I SAW THAT TOO AND IT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING FOR SOME REASON (well, at the time)
Also the picture of Rocky and Freckle as kids is SO CUTE OMG!!
Zib is SUCH a mood
If you haven't read the comic or seen any of the official comic dubs don't read FURTHER!!! I will be talking about Mordecai and Ivy
Mordecai most likely didn't shoot at Ivy because of his days working at lackadaisy as a partner with Viktor the barman who has an almost father like relationship with ivy in the comics as she's the only one Viktor refuses to threaten, Mordecai is okay with shooting Rocky who unlike Ivy has given many in canon reason to be on his shitlist and Freckle who he has no prior working relationship. He knows that if he harmed Ivy, Viktor would have more of reason to hunt him down then just the fact that Mordecai kneecapped him on the way out when he left to work for Asa Sweet.
“That sign can’t stop me because I can’t read!”
Also he's probably just "sentimental about old times" like Serafine said
@@koolaidjammer1647 Apparently not sentimental enough to consider against poking holes in Rocky
Another detail, is when Ivy calls Rocky ‘mudbug’ I think it’s a reference to the webcomic, where a shopkeeper called Rocky and Freckle ‘Stitches and Mudbug’
The tail movements, the EXPRESSIONS, THE ANIMATION, THE MUSIC- EVERYTHING IS SO- AGHHHHHAHAHAHA 😭💕💕
The Animations are so lovely. Can't wait for more Lackadaisy content.
I’d die for Freckle and Ivy.
He’s shy and awkward and she’s extroverted and thirsty af for him (comics are hilarious )
i have a theory for why mordecai didnt shoot when he saw ivy!
potential spoilers if youre new to the comic??
if you read the comics you'll know that serafine's reference to mordecai's "old times" is about when he worked under atlas for lackadaisy, and its also revealed in the comic that atlas was ivy's godfather and that she was regularly taken to the lackadaisy speakeasy by her father as a child where she was "treated like royalty"
im assuming his sentiments *did* get to him in that scene, and he didnt want to shoot ivy for that reason
That is more or less the reason, it's probably a lot more complicated than that but you are technically correct.
I can't believe I Lackadaisy had an after credits scene
“fucker’s circus days are kickin’ in”
Bro I’m crying 😂😂😂
I noticed that Ivy is wearing the same type of hat the Viktor wears. She's copying him and it's adorable.
Also Viktor getting pissed when Freckle and Ivy go off to dance is priceless and I love it. It's in a similar vein of storytelling as Mordecai not wanting to shoot Ivy as she's driving away. Like yes these two are absolutely terrifying and have undeniably committed several murders, but at the end of the day neither of them want to hurt her or see her get hurt.
Ah I see someone else who appreciates Ivy and Freckle as much as I do XD
In the beginning of the pilot when Rocky is waxing poetic you can see Mordecai and the Savoys’ car drive under the bridge
Lets be honest, of not for Rocky's creative thinking, HE'D BEEN SHOT IN THAT CHASE
As for Mordecai not shooting Ivy, i was wondering that as well, so here's what i've got (Backstory/spoilers)
Mordecai met Atlas when he was on the run from a New York mob, thus he started working at Lackadaisy, partnering up with Viktor (who he kneecapped so he could retire after Atlas died) (Keep in mind Viktor is somewhat protective of Ivy, even shown in the episode here)
Now, how this all ties with Ivy is that she could be seen as the heart of the group
I say this due to her relationship with the characters and her lore:
Viktor is like some sort of protective father figure to Ivy
Ivy is in love with Freckel
But most importantly here, she's the goddaughter of the late Atlas and Mitzy
This probably explains two things with Mordecai:
1. He feels endowed to Altas still
2. Him and Viktor ebing under his command probably lead to them feeling/told to protect Ivy, thus leading to Ivy to grow on them both
BUT HEY, THAT'S JUST A THEORY; *A FILM THEORY!!*
Rocky and Freckle as kittens are so cute I *can't*- (⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝) (too bad Ms. McMurray destroys their dreams of eating pancakes every millisecond)
I LOVE those kitty stuff. It's adorable
That's such a good point omg
As an original comic reader I think i MIGHT know??? I rlly need to reread them though cuz i feel like I know but I'm just not sure
I will say atlas was ivy's godfather because her father and atlas were close friends, and mordecai worked for the lackadaisy with viktor when atlas was still alive before moving on to work for the marigold after atlas died, so maybe there's a connection there (there prob is tbh)
There's possibility that Mordecai has sibling and Ivy is related to Sibling's child?
@@Frostwolf_103 mordecai has 2 sisters (esther and rose respectively), so it could be! At the same time i doubt it tho
Mordecai used to work for Lackadaisy, and Ivy's dad used to be in the bootlegging business. The two would likely know each other from there.
He does indeed know who she is and there are reasons he didn’t shoot her, when he had the shot and very easily could’ve taken it. I won’t say since you may read the comic, but there are many more reasons that the comments haven’t said, and I’ll refrain from spoilers 😉😉😉😉
Edit: love how I say I won’t share spoilers and people below proceed to share even more spoilers 😭 there is _still_ another reason that isn’t mentioned yet tho ✌️
THANK YOU! I've been saying for years that Rocky was ADHD coded and no one else has ever mentioned it!

Мне безумно нравится наблюдать за этой парочкой))) Во время просмотра я ловлю себя на том что широко улыбаюсь сам того не замечая😅😆
At around 1:24 of this video also, Mordecai counts the number of bullets Freckle fired (the clip not shown here but it’s part of the scene).
0:59 WHAT DOES THIS MEAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN
This was amazing, in all other animations characters in background just stand there or pass by. Not here, lackadaisy team give so much live around. I love it
One that I loved was Viktor glaring at Ivy and Freckle after Ivy dropped the glass.
I love the amount of Subtle details that are all throughout the pilot, they just add so much to each Character. Though I gotta say everything with Rocky and Freckle is just too cute! Especially when you watch they’re interactions with one another. Oh and especially they’re childhood photos! I just want to squeeze they’re cute little cheeks! Aaaah I love it all so much! I truly hope we get more! ❤️😻❤️
Calvin's brrt at 2:06 is just precious
thank you so much for the transcript😭 i have trouble catching things that go by fast💀
still played it in slow-mo to catch the speedy text because i'm dedicated
i love the detail that the water tower explodes cause all of the dynamite were in the scooper (?) of the crane, and as it skid across the top it produced sparks
The technical term is the dipper or bucket - depends whether you're an English or American viewer....
Also fun fact the news article that Mitzi is reading is talking about the death of a real dancer named Isidora Duncan, who died in 1927 when her absurdly long scarf got caught in the back wheel of her car. On second thought that’s not a very fun fact.
Mordecai's clock ticks everytime when he aims. Throughout the entire Pilot he didn't miss a shot.
Freckle and Ivy have to be the most adorable characters I've ever seen in a cartoon before
Also while Rocky is being poetic in the beginning, you can hear the train in the distance, the same one that scares them later.
No sleep, i loved that detail
I love videos like this this is awesome
1:38 Tbh I think Mordecai didn't shoot because of his connection to Lackadaisy (he was their member until Altas died) so I think he just had an emotional connection to Ivy becuase he knew full well she is just an unexperienced girl and he just couldn't kill her
2:28 also Victor scrapes his claws in the table because he's furious at freckle an protective of ivy here, a similar thing happened in the comics. (Aso mitizi rests her hand on victors arm to reassure him it's okay)
Did anyone else notice the ever present rough sketch lines, particularly around the heads? Idk why, but I found it charming.
This video is funny to start but NGL videos with a million split second comments on screen I can't possibly catch without pausing and slowing it down every single time is more annoying than it's worth to watch it all the way through.
One or two in compilation videos is usually funny, but the amount in this one finally got on my nerves.
I can write a transcript!
I really like how you can hear the bullet wizz past the two before Babyface pushes ms peppers
Oh also, Mordecai counts to 6 shots, which I believe was all the gun could hold.
1:36 the reason mordecai didn't shoot here is because in the books, Ivy is actually a god-daughter of his former boss (at least, from what i heard, i didn't read the books) and he couldn't bring himself to shoot Ivy. idk tho
source: ua-cam.com/video/8K6NIdbLUps/v-deo.html
1:36 Why didn't he shoot her? He tried to shoot Rocky and Freckle but not Ivy! Why?
1. Ivy looks like his sister.
2. Wouldn't hurt a girl.
3. Future love interest? (God, I hope not! Ivy and Freckle are like peas and carrots 😄)
All I know is he better not kill my boys or my girl!
Oh my god the cactus Easter egg 😂😂😂
A masterpiece.
Something funny I noticed was that Wick actually downed more of that Sunset Rose coctail as if he half hated it, half loved it. Found that hilarious.
I mean he does seem to vaguely like the taste/sensation of coffin varnish
When did the comic of this come out. I've pieced together this is an old deviantart work just. How old?
Started in 2006, still going.
@@mitamajr Thou currently on hiatus, from what I've heard
I can tell it was made by loving animators.
No hire up would say "you can keep tails" seeing how much they are animated. I mean look at them dolars wagging around.
not to mention the fact you can see mr. sable downing his glass when ivy pulls freckle into a dance i think
I liked how Mitzi was reading the obituaries when she got introduced, because in one of the first pages of the comic, she said that the Lackadaisy’s finances were so depressing that she was reading the obituaries instead “for a laugh”
I didn't spot any of these on my phone but when I watched on my Xbox I noticed everything
One thing I've noticed that few people seem to comment on:
The news story Mizzi reads to Atlas' portrait. It's a real one and it gives us a pretty good idea of when exactly this incident takes place...like, down to a week or less.
Rocky Rickaby - insane bu adorable
Freckle - adorable
Ivy - girl boss
to me this is basically a better version of Helluva Boss. It had major dark and adult themes without being all over the top and gross. The world-building and setting is similar, but it's easier to digest and fully consistent.
I love FRECKLE SO GOD DAMN MUCH😂
*Another thing.*
I’ve noticed that mordecai counted the bullets Freckle shot with the Kolibri.
Can't forget the detail of Victor continuing to hate Ivy's boyfriends for some reason. When Ivy hugs Freckles you can see him getting surprised and squinting angrily at Freckles!
1:30 obviously he didn't shoot because he ran out of dead eye
He didn't shoot because iirc that's Atlas's God daughter
I thought the same thing when Mr. Sweet said “dragons” and he puffs out his smoke like a dragon! Also I’m pretty sure Mordecai didn’t shoot at Ivy cause she’s Atlas’ goddaughter. I read the comics recently in like one night lol.
Also another thing is that their liquor is Canadian, many large Bootleggers would smuggle their whiskey from Canada
Freckle & ivy be my favour couple in years
