    I rode one, but my neck couldn't tolerate the riding position. Ended up with the M1000R, and loving it.

    Maybe you should try one of the older S1000RR models aswell. In my opinion the best choice is, to build one only for track and the xr stays for normal street ridin

    I had the XR, i changed for the s1000rr. It's the Best of both world. You can travel too. And the motor has so much power. It never stop

    You love your trackdays and coaching, the s1000rr sort of picks itself for that. Would make great content as you learn the new bike; there's nothing to stop you getting another xr in the future. Good luck whatever you decide CR 👍🙂

    Wait wait wait...are you on the interstate just east of Midland TX in this video? (The scenery, yes, but mostly it's that weird "humming" road surface. 😬)

      A little SE from Midland, this is north of Austin.

    Great bike and probably one of the most comfortable sportbikes...I tried one out at track (have a pic of it in my proficle picture) and I was impressed.

    If you do multi-day tours with bags, you want to keep the XR. But the RR is the best for track days, a ride to your favorite local twisty, or even a tow to the dragon for several days there. I’ve done 300 mile days on my RR, though I admit to getting pretty sore, but then I’m sore after a track day too.
    I like the S1000RR better than the other superbikes. It lacks the look and panache of the Italian bikes, but I like the BMW’s ergos, electronics, and warranty/service way better.

    CR I already told you the last time, it looks like you are focus on doing track days and you seem serious about it. From what I see you already have everything from gear and equipment standpoint, including RV and trailer, the only thing that is missing is a proper race bike. Don’t get me wrong, the XR is more than capable but you are ready for it. Good luck!

    So many bikes, so little cash. Keep the XR and pick up a used 2015--2019 RR. Good luck riding to its limit, let alone a newest gen. God bless you, brother!

    Cuban, Happy belated Thanksgiving to you and your family! The BMW RR is for you! It can be like your "racecar!" You can keep your XR for daily riding. In time. you'll be able to have both. Haha! Happy riding my friend! Braaap!

      Don't think you can go wrong with either choice. This one with the carbon wheels is incredibly agile.

    I was going to recommend the s1000r but you mentioned wind protection, and since you already owned a naked speed triple...that leaves the s1000RR, the million dollar question is though, can you live with those ergos for longer street rides? If you're not really riding on the street all that much, then the double R is the way to go I guess. Or maybe you can test ride a panigale?

    • @CubanRider
      @CubanRider  6 місяців тому +1

      S1000R is still a top contender, even without the wind protection.

    @RobertKehl 6 місяців тому +1

    I find all sport bike are like that. But do you need to go that fast? If you’re not racing and you just want to do track days to be a better rider the naked bikes keep your top speed down.

    • @CubanRider
      @CubanRider  6 місяців тому

      You're right, for most track days the R would be just as fast, but I have COTA in my backyard, the bike straight is nearly a mile long!

    • @RobertKehl
      @RobertKehl 6 місяців тому

      The bike it self is probably the most comfortable as far as sport bikes go. I’m a ktm guy and own the latest 1290r and 890r Duke. I still own my Yamaha 02 R1 btw is probably the most uncomfortable stock foot peg position. Lol. But because of the wind screen you don’t feel the speed when you’re going 150+. But I ride mostly street with the occasional track day. Good luck with the purchase of your new bike. 😊

      I would suggest that you trade the speed triple for the RR. I think you will find that the RR will be track only, while the XR will do everything else that you will want on 2 wheels.
