Rest Peacefully to Subroc and Zev Love X(MF Doom)..crazy he was gone two months before we found out but at least it seems he got some respect when he passed...more than I thought he would've got being underground all his career but he deserved every bit of it and more..that scene with Gil is probably what happened with NWA and Jerry Heller...i hope u resting peacefully Gil
A pity Biz Markie wasn't there to make funny faces. Nobody beats the Biz at that.
this is hip hop as well as hip hop dance!
I’m 50 years old…I was 15 when this came out in 1989 & till this day, I still blast this on my jbl speaker to let all these youngies know about old school HipHop we grew up on
The Best of the Best of does days RIP
Legend has it that guy who gets in at 2:52 became a super villain.
Heard he blew the spot and skated out to Latvia just before thanksgiving
So did the guy at 3:41

I would love to see a movie about the Hammer/3rd Bass drama. Serch does an excellent job telling that story
And that's all it is a fabricated story his only claim to fame
Camera was right search could not sell out no venue didn't even go wood that's how lame searches all those that stood with an in this video like Run DMC
@@ronnrogers9459 I mean, he was part of a fairly popular hip hop group at one time, and is known for discovering one of the greatest rappers of all time. It's not like he's a nobody desperate for attention. This would definitely not be his "only" claim to fame.
And that's all it is a b's story
@@ronnrogers9459 I dunno man - on the one hand Serch definitely stretches the truth and/or lies about some things (like the radio interview where Pete actually argued with Hammer more than Serch did), but Hammer also had a reputation for this kind of thing. I think there's probably _some_ truth to it; maybe Hammer put out a "hit" but just to scare him.
Did anybody notice them mocking Professor Griff in the beginning?
Evan G check VLAD interview with Griff when he talks about smashing a typewriter in Serch's head

Nah I ain't peep. I gotta watch it again. Man it's 10-23-18, I watch it like like it just came out!
It is ironic you said that because Professor Griff and MC Serch have both revealed...they had a confrontation back in the day ...I wonder if it was before or after the video..Griff was really FOI and he rolled with some serious dudes but Flava Flav still did a cameo!
@@BigDapPacino Flav and Griff didnt get along either
Kinda hard not to miss. this was off the heels of Prof Griff saying jews cause all the misery in the world. serch is jewish.
I was 12 when this came out. A friend of mine used to get tapes sent over from America and this was one of them!! One of the main reasons I fell in love with hiphop!! I'd kill to be that excited about music again!!

I remember the late 80’s when this dropped. It was dope, these two cats had some major competition too, all serious names. LL COOL J, RUN DMC, THE FAT BOYS, GRAND MASTER FLASH, ICE T, WHODINI, NWA! EAZY-E, ERIC B & RAKIM, too many OG’s to mention, the list is hella long. These homeboys were dope,
