It would probably be easier to manufacture these things with the lights on guys
Came here to say this
Lol
And coolant in their machines
Have to make money to pay the light bill first...
🤣
Crazy how uneducated the gun community is in these comments. They're either calling it a Glock clone or bashing it for not taking Glock mags, yet have no idea how different the two systems are. Can't wait for this new version to roll out, I've carried the type B for years now and it's the one gun I would never sell regardless of the situation. Keep up the phenomenal work.
The gun community is a bunch of HS drama cry babies who just follow influencers. Literally no different than any other social media community. Whether it's cancel culture, spreading rumors that start on reddit, or buying gear they have no idea how to use but saw some military guys using. Nobody hurts the community more than themselves
This will be the firs time a manufacturer will bring a pistol to market standard with Talon Grips, we've tried all types of stipple, the Talon was the clear choice.
Will there be color options for the grips or will they all have that multicolor?
Those who think this pistol is a Glock knockoff are completely ignorant about how this pistol works. This pistol is not a tipping barrel design like the standard Glock pistols. The barrel does not tip but moves in a straight line. The Archon uses a sliding locking block that moves at a right angle to the bore of the barrel to lock and unlock. I'm glad it is back in production. I wish they would start offering it in calibers such as 10mm and 5.7x28.
So you are saying a Pontiac fiero with a Ferrari body kit isn’t a Ferrari knockoff because it has different internal parts? Are you really that moronic?
@Crosis of Borg you don't understand mechanical design then.
@@nexusone5584 nah, he's clearly got the iq of a mc-chicken
@@bulldogg117 You're doing McChickens dirty talking like that
@@bulldogg117 accurate
People calling this a Glock clone are blind af. It doesn't even look like one from the outside lol.
These morons in the comments don't know jack shit about guns.
The amount of low IQ people posting on this video makes me actually depressed for our community.
This gun is an underrated gem with excellent design and should be pushed more aggressively into the market without losing it's manufacturing quality, first it was produced RUAG in Germany, than frames started to produced in Hungary and now looks like the whole facility moved in to Czech Repuclic, it is one of the couple places in the word that can build high quality firearms
steadily with relatively affordable manufacturing costs. I hope we will see Archon B in the market permanently with the new manufacturing facility.
Evolving from Strike one to Archon CZ was a very very long road far as i saw..
Still have the original Strike one and still love it... Flattest , softest, and most accurate shooting polymer pistol in my collection. Glad you back !!!
Agreed. Granted, I think mine is my ONLY poly pistol, but it still shoots better than a lot of my steel-frame pistols.
This is looks like a Glock that was upgraded. The internals is what makes this a true gem. Unfortunately many will not see the innovation because they are stuck on the aesthetics.
I purchased an Archon pistol two years ago but sold it as the metal trigger got too hot after firing 200 rds thru it at the range. I hope they've taken the old trigger into consideration and made changes to the materials in the trigger construction. I hated selling it as it was a fantastic shooter!
I had same issue with the EAA MP35….metal trigger. Sold it
This is amazing happy to see archon come back to the market . Excited to give feed back .
I would 100% buy one that's optics ready with gen1 grip. the gen 1 was more innovative, and a single piece of grip feels more secure
Rain6 has an RMR cut gen 1 frame + the option of a trigger job
The new modular grip will do 12, 16, and 19 rds. in ea. configuration.
Can we get caliber conversion barrels.. would love one of these on a 5.7
Any info one what the type D is?
Anyone who comments glock clone needs to do some research.
I look forward to seeing these in the market. Especially now that they are optics ready.
Yea seriously. It's amazing how if anyone took the time to put two and two together, this thing is basically a Glock and Laugo Alien. It's not even a Browning Tilting barrel style action. It's almost a fixed barrel.
I absolutely love that grip design, with the little colors in there. Companies gotta bring back the weird. Very excited for this to come out
Got to run a buddy's Archon a couple months ago, its great and eats any and all ammo. The sights are legit, ergos are excellent, and recoil is less felt than any non-muzzle broke 9mm. My only issue was his came standard with 10-round mags. One of these days I'll add one to my collection.
Good to see they're back. Hope they are competitively priced.
Product support would be my biggest concern. After owning an Archon Type B and contact the company to get the advertised trigger upgrade and optics cut, I was told that they could not accept any additional work at that time. I guess they were in the process of shutting down their previous operations. If the new RUAG operation can produce spare parts for the customer, I will purchase the 2nd generation gun (optics ready). The speed lock action is very effective, providing easy to control recoil.
I'm loving the funfetti colored texturing
That's just Talon Grip's most aggressive texture. You can buy them for just about any handgun on the market.
Light bill be hitting like......
A steel frame version for the competition market would be amazing!
I was very close to getting one of the originals, but it was right when they just kind of disappeared. Good to see them back.
Why don't you show the left hand side of the pistol during the video? Sorry if that's a weird question LOL
The right side of a gun is generally more photogenic. You get to the see brass leaving the ejection port.
I'm really happy about the further development and absolutely a big fan of the Archon Type b!
Maybe improve your non existing customer service before releasing next gen? Aka take care of your existing customers who might actually be interested in archon?
I had 5 different major gun stores in one of the largest cities in America contract Archon, because I had money in hand and wanted to buy a pistol, and they literally never replied to any of the companies to ship them one, I still don't have one.
apparently they just opened a new manufacturing facility in US and they hired a brand new team. hopefully when they say "return" they actually mean a whole company return not just a gun
Bro has the fruity pebbles grip
Lol, had to watch it again... It DOES have the fruity pebbles grip!
This is why they can't get off the ground. Great product, they have a sluggish release and can't keep up with demand. Again, they have just showed us a product, and we are midway through 2023 with no concrete release date.
Nice I liked the first design and this looks good just hope for reliability and quality and good customer service is always nice. May eventually get one we will see but glad you came back.
I’m glad you all are back!
Excited I loved the first type B
These actually look to be extremely intriguing! Thank you for the short and sweet video!
We can’t wait to get one of these and try to break it 🎉
It does need to come optics ready though, there’s 0 excuses not to
Optics on a pistol is the most useless, ugly thing possible unless you NEED it because you have shit eyesight
Hell Yeah, looking forward to these hitting the market.
First. Dibs on type D
I want a long slide edition. It’s the perfect design for it.
Add customer service, a functional website, more marketing and pistol availability = could be cool. Not even my list of top 20 to buy but we’ll see if this company sinks or prevails.
If they accomplished what you mentioned above, I'd give it a spin.
The competition is stiff these days, so they'd better get the price right.
Yep, hard pass.
My favorite 9mm. Thanks for adding the optics cutout. I hate having to get the old ones machined. My only complaint is the mag release needs a retaining pin.
This is what I've been waiting for!
DAMMIT I been praying for this return for several years now.
The evolution of firearms is there 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Looking forward to the reintroduction of Archon Firearms.
Stay classy my friends.
Im an archon guy, love mine. But to all newcomers here, don't hold your breath. These guys take forever for everything. Also don't get the first run.
Right I have two, they both shoot phenomenally. I love them. But getting warranty work done is terribly slow. Months if not longer. Broken Sears, ejector, trigger housing and now a slide is cracked. I just bought an sai strike one, because I’m a glutton for punishment. I love this gun even more. I doubt I’m coming back to archon unless they get it together. They’ve snubbed me and I’ve basically been an ambassador for them at shooting competitions.
@@swiftaudi Exactly why I'll never buy one. Basically anything that breaks on a Glock and I can easily and cheaply fix it myself. That being said, it's a moot point as Glocks rarely break. At least in my experience with over a dozen I've owned (mostly gen 3) since they were introduced in the USA. Only thing I ever had fail was a spring on an early gen 2.
Dayum. Beautiful firearms for sure, I'd rock it as a daily
🐉🖤 I’ve been watching the archon for years🕷. I really hope it makes the American mainstream market.🐉🏴☠️🐉🎩🤌🏼
Looks great!
Product looks good, Like to see it setup with a comped yet frame length setup with optic. Think compact race gun meets everyday carry.
Tried to buy one a few years ago when ARG were running classes. Contacted the guy and never could get them to do one. Hope that got better. also the mag release button falling out if the mag hits it a certain way. hope that changed too
I'd love to have that in Europe for a reasonable price (not the imported one).
I own an Arsenal Firearms that I love a lot.
That V2 is... wow.
Europe and reasonable price!
Good one. 👍 😂
Low axis bore... looks nice and seems to shoot pretty flat in those slo-mos. Keep it coming, I'd like to check one out in person.
I have the European version, Arsenal Firearm, and I can 100% say that it is super flat shooting to the point I can rapid fire a 25m target without going outside of the black (on a C50 size target). It's pretty unbelievable until you touch one ;)
Dude got the Prestige Worldwide style intro 😂
I don't know why so many haters came here to say what they don't like about the gun, but I love mine. Did you keep the sight interchangeability with Glock sights? That was a huge plus. I hope you did not change that. I can't wait to see one in the wild.
Thank you for your support. Yes, we kept the sights as they were before. And we introduced news ways to make the gun fit to every owner’s situation and need at any given moment.
Looks nice!!!
Looks awesome
I can’t wait for the release! When can we expect to see it in the hands of reviewers?
im way to excited for this, just take my money !
I mean ok, but you go to their website and it looks like someone got their About Us section in a drive-by. Why no info? Why so secret?
Why the new grip texture? I've seen nothing but good reviews about the angled squares.
I did like the Stryk B - I used it in one IPSC match and was instantly almost as good as with my other guns. But I m neither a good shooter nor any reference - I just like to participate in the sports, the matches, and being happy all along, and more so if I dont "earn" misses or procedure. I like the Stryk B for its innovative design - the slide, the fireing control unit, the locking mechanism, and even the reversable mag release button - I m a right hand shooter but my thumb is too short for must buttons, so I always move the mag release button to the right side (H&K, Beretta, Steyr, CZ ..). Still, one consideration about which handgun to use is the availability of parts and it took me some time searching to get 4 more magazines. As for the holster I had luck: the (old) Ghost Beretta APX holster also fits the the Stryk B! So anybody out there, if you want to use an IPSC compatible shell holster for the Stryk B get the Beretta estore APX Ghost Civilian holster (E01205). Will work. I still have mine, in case I can get another/newer Stryk B.
So thumbs up, I hope to see the design of the Stryk B revived and filled with new live - hopefully commercially.
Can’t wait
Heck yeah , man I can’t wait to get my hands on a Gen 2 type B !! I have been shooting a gen 1 for the past two years in competition and it’s a damn good firearm !
Congrats Archon , glad to see 2023 is going to kick ass for y’all !
Thank you kindly! Glad for you and your future Gen II.
@@archonfirearms
Thanks a lot I appreciate it , I have 25,000+ rounds between training and competitive shooting through my type one and it’s been flawless !
Check out some recent videos on my channel the I posted from some recent matches .
Told my dealer to get me a Gen 2 ASAP !
@@540PewPew I have 6k on mine with one malfunction in competition and training. I’m sure the malfunction was self induced I didn’t sweat your magazine properly I think was the problem.
@@swiftaudi
Dude that’s awesome !! Yeah man they run like a mofo !!
Only issue I had was from a custom extended mag release I had made. Had it break during a match last year , but that’s no fault on Archon as it was aftermarket. (One of my videos shows the malfunction)
After that I modified a factory release for more length and it’s been fine ever since .
@@540PewPew I have special springs I made for the sear and trigger plunger that reduces the trigger weight to below 3 pounds. My weight is 2 pounds 10 ounces. I’ve got about 1k on the springs and they work great so far. If you’re interested let me know and I’ll get you my email somehow. I’m on the Brian Enos forum as well. The springs are made of stainless 304 so they have good heat and weather resistance. I’m interested in any kind of mods you can share without me as well. I shoot both IDPA and USPSA.
So stoked
Absolutely loved my strike one and type B but when an internal part broke it was a major headache to find the part anywhere. I sadly then sold them off and would consider buying another if the parts were readily available.
Availability to parts in supporting the platform is a priority. they will be available.
Wow!
Everyone feeling the power bill increase I see.
Will the Type D slide also be optics cut? I emailed your company, and am excited to hear back, I want to get on the list for one of these! kinda sad to see the Grip mapping go, as that was a really neat feature.
Yes the Type D will also be available in optic ready offerings.
fantastica...complimenti, la vedremo mai in italia? se si quando?
Also, get these guns to Rain6...they did thr most for these guns here in the USA
Wonder if the new grips are compatible with old slides. I'm thinking of sending my slide off to get an Acro cut.
I’m not a kindergarten teacher ! I’m a cop !!
Ide like to see more machine footage
I’m interested in it I thought about buying one before but they didn’t have an optic cut yet
Will you be offering 10rnd mags for restricted states ? Also what is the MSRP looking like ?
This sounds like an umbrella corp ad, just put the RE main theme in the backdrop and it's perfect
Good luck getting a holster for it
Any 1911 holster will fit it
Any holster shop can make one in a few hours/same day (if local)..other companies maybe a little behind but not impossible
Aside from the low bore axis, what sets this apart from similar striker pistols? Just curious. Would love to see a deep dive video.
The barrel does tilt so it can be suppressed easily no device needed. Is accurate, I like the way the internals are setup especially the trigger it was very easy to modify and learn. The striker is pre cocked so it doesn’t have that nasty Glock trigger.
Is it true that Archon pistols are compatible with CZ P01 magazines?
It is. The Archon magazines are based on CZ75 design :)
Hope you launch a compact model.
Great job guys!! I have a Gen I turned "Raven" by Rain6 and love it! Will it take Gen I magazines? Also, what optic is that? It looks excellent on the gun! Also, will there be a Type A slide configuration?
Thank you for the kind words about our products and Rain6 job! And yes, the magazines will be interchangeable. Please keep following us for news about products, possibly the Type A as well - who knows😉
@@archonfirearms If the Type D isn't a Type A (Strike One - sized) or a Type C (compact), what is it? Will it be coming ahead of Type B, Gen II?
How many times has this design changed hands? It's a great idea what gives?
Nice
Oh, I remember those pistols... good to see y'all back in action.
Will it be available in the Philippines?
Take my money!
Will this have an ambi slide stop/slide release I’m a southpaw that’s why I ask. If not am I able to go through your custom workshop to get that settled
this video is heat, needs more views
Safari Land needs a holster for these.
Pic rail was an issue on the old one as well. The lights sat too far out away from the trigger guard. Little things…
A problem how? You couldn't reach the switch?
@@lucastonoli3256 affect the functionality a little bit yes, little harder to engage the switches with my support hand thumb(my preferred method) and aesthetically looks like shit. And looks matter 😎a
@@phenom7181 I have fairly average hand and It was well within reach. I agree about the aesthetics.
@@lucastonoli3256 I actually have large hands but short thumbs(1 in a million with this defect 😎). Loved the gun though…might pick up a new one as well.
@@phenom7181 Asian? Asians usually struggle with that kind of things haha. It's a nice gun, I had firing pin issues and sold it, but that should be an easy to solve issue, it was clearly QC.
Why not use the trigger housing as the firearm and allow the grip to be totally modular like the p320. The aftermarket could be huge and endless. Also where there any improvements to the inside like the sear or trigger housing? How much is compatible with gen 1?
The grip is modular like 320, 320 actually came after The Strike One's trigger housing and removable grips. Ours is not completely drop in, but close. ;)
@@archonfirearms So the trigger housing is the firearm?
Will threaded barrels or factory compensated models be available? Or perhaps even a compensator sold separately manufactured by Archon?
Factory threaded barrels will be available, compensators are among the options listed down for introduction and it will be the market demand largely that will dictated the order in which they will be implemented and released. 🙏🏻
I own a gen one and love mine. Great for competition.
PLEASE sell the new parts separately and offer support for owners of the old platform. I love the gun but i dont want to buy a whole new gun just to get the threaded barrel. Also can we buy the frame separately since this is a "chassis" gun? Final question, are you doing away with the old school mag release? And if so how is the new one different.
You can get a threaded barrel of gun broker.
@@swiftaudi that's the prepper gun shop one, I wanted to get the oem one if they offer it, though I supposed I have no choice atm
Hopefully might be interested if you make a 10mm
Does the Czech general manager (assuming by the name at least) mean, that we’re gonna finely see Archon in Czech Republic?
Is the mag release mechanism the same as gen 1?
It is a new mag release, no more potential issues by inserting mag to reverse it!
ill buy one right now if youll let me
Soon Dan.
“Hey, I’ve seen this one!”
No piston required for suppressors?
Wow, a polymer frame striker fired 9mm, what a groundbreaking new idea
@E115 It doesn’t use the same browning action like a Glock, it doesn’t use the same magazines, it used a reciprocating barrel… it’s far from a Glock clone.
@E115 im shocked you made such a bold claim without even watching the video. they say that in the video you commented on
Did you get rid of the Glock grip angle??
We are maintaining the geometry and general ergonomics of the original Type B pistol. We understand that there is a wide variety of personal preferences, but ninety-nine percent of feedback on the pistol geometry has been consistently positive. Additionally, the new modular grip design vastly enhances the adjustment possibilities even further.
I think they are coming November 2023!
Availability ETA?
Any info on the type D? Smaller than type B or same size as original Arsenal stryke one? Different caliber? 5.7 hopefully
Looks like it’s going to be exactly the same as the type b, just a different slide with no cut.
