- I was amazed and disturbed to find out that WJs with a hydro fan share fuse 16 along with the O2 sensor circuit! It's hard to imagine that one small break in one small wire could cause so many check engine codes. #jeep #jeepmylife #checkengine #CEL #hydrofan

Hey, what’s up, guys? I hope you enjoyed another project. Please remember that this video product is meant for entertainment purposes only and intended for people of driving age, and that is not “made for kids”. Also Please Keep in mind I am not a professional and I have no professional training so don’t try this at home. If you decide to modify or fixing your own vehicle please keep it legal, roadworthy, and most importantly SAFE. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you on the next project! ✌
Ok it’s been a week if not two. But my 01 Wj has had a B2S1 code for most of the winter. Well a week or so ago my fan decided to go out pulled codes again just to see if there was anything new. Bam P1499. Looked a the fuse box for a fan fuse (no fuse). So damn 150 for a solenoid. Been to junkyard up to 75 miles away. Well can find one. So today I said I’ll take a brake and watch a couple more UA-cam videos. After watching this video I walk out to my WJ and said WFT fuse was blown. Replace it and started up the jeep. F YA the fan was working again. Thank you Dan. You just saved me a $140 I’ll take a $10 of fused any day. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I was thinking of selling my 02 WJ Overland. Not any more! Thanks Dan for showing me that fixing it is far better than getting another vehicle with it's own set of new problems. Jeep my life. Great videos!
Nothing makes your heart drop having the CEL come back on after you think you had it fixed. Glad to see Green Hornet is running CORRECTLY. Every now and then Jeep just has a brain-fart and screws up something simple. Wish I could finally fix our 97's CEL. Have a reoccurring EVAP leak code of P0442/P0455 (small/large). In the middle of a video series for tracking the problem without a smoke machine. Truly...JML
Same exact codes on my WJ was gonna just replace all the o2 sensors. Thanks for the video!
Something about Dan H in a WJ just feels right. Nice work sir.
This is where a factory shop manual comes in handy. I have a 1995 Grand Cherokee (Bought it New in 1995) and I bought the factory shop maintenance manual at the time of purchase and it has paid for itself many times. I still have the 1995 and the manual.
Great information. Always looking forward to seeing your videos.
dear sir. let me thank you for your video about fuse no. 16 its really helpful. and all check engine code disappear. i am aladdin from jordan
had the same thing happen and this video saved me soooo much!!! thanks
Great fix! Enjoying your videos
I think that is what's going on with my 04 wj o2 codes as well as others,,thanks for sharing
Look into getting liquid electrical tape great in small spaces
Lucky #16 🤣 I think Jeep played us all with that one .
Solid tracking skills! Love when you can find visibly noticeable problems like that
To avoid shorting anything out, you should disconnect the POSITIVE terminal of the battery, not the negative.
I'm doing the interior now, 233,000 miles. I couldn't find foam for the seat and reused the old foam. I had a broken drives seat. The drivers seat frame was busted in 3 places. I used bolts and steel flat stock to splint the cracks. The little part that broke on the electric seat life required a $250 eBay seat lift and motors. Hit me up if you want to share experience. I fixed my Cruise control etc....
Just had same issue with my 01 laredo 4.7 it overheated and would have never guessed the fuse until we got the o2 code...fixed issue with sensor replaced fuse and bam the cooling fan started working right...insane!!!
Always enjoy watching these videos! Curious- if there is ever a chance to cover a rear wheel bearing on the ZJ with Dana 44 rear, would you be able to cover it?
They used the power steering because they had a cooling problem and the power steering pump can get the fan turning high enough speed even at idle. Once the 12 volt fan motors increased power they changed it. Chrysler had multiple engineers that had been at NASA for years and came up with some off the wall ideas.
Wow lucky fix got them both.
