@@GrumpyOldCrone I only recently found your videos and I'm now going through your backlog. Please oh please can we have the Pratchett video? :D His witches are amazing, and I wish I had had the Tiffany books as a young girl.
OMG I put on a beloved but slightly neglected green eyeshadow a few years back, only to get the worst pink eye I'd ever had and realize it was about 8 years old... I felt this tip in my bones. Or in my left eye, more accurately!
Lmao. I have the very same book. 😂 I bought it over 20 years ago when I was a teen. It was one of the earliest spell books I got when I first became interested in the craft. I lost it for a time but when I found it again I noticed a moth caterpillar had bore into the side of the pages to pupate. Now when I flick through the book the pages have a pretty cool effect where the caterpillar had made it's home. It's the only reason I still have it on my shelf.
I once tried to grow mushrooms on a particularly poor fiction book. The mushrooms failed. I don't think the book had enough merit even to grow fungus. I'm glad the moth enjoyed that book, though!
(referring to the kindly exorcism crap from little Akasha Moon...and that name...really?) ohhhhhhhhhhhh cupcake, noooooooooooooo! I just can't. Also, I loathe all those Little Book of Spells crap. Friends used to get them for me years ago. They've since learned it is a bad idea. They asked my opinion...and I gave it. The cringe is real.
Having a great time bingeing your videos today! I do have a question - what is that picture behind you beside your microphone? I tried to do a Google image search but it was too blurry. Thanks in advance!
It’s a print by an amazing English artist called Grace Moth of the John Muir quotation: “Into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” Her artwork is amazing!
While I am now considering designing a “counseling for evil spirits” plaque for my office door, I would not recommend inviting any into my head. I was present at an ouija board session when I was about eight years old. No fun.
No wonder that book was gotten rid of 😂 don't drink water or anything with crystals in unless u wanna be poisoned by wot ever they hell they use to polish them with or the actual crystals themselves, why run the risk? also excellent advice with the spirits 😂
I hadn't even thought of the polishing agents, actually - that's a good point! I was more hung up on the fact that things like Selenite just... dissolve...
I will have you know that I am absolutely going to do a post about cinnamon..... My "Witchy Makeup Tip" that week might be about how to get cinnamon stains out of carpets....
Weirdly enough, my black cat has a tail that does EXACTLY that. We joke that if we stapled it to his head he'd make an excellent handbag. We adopted him from friends, and my daughter actually met him about an hour after he was born, so he's never had a break or anything traumatic. It's just... a very weird tail!
Hahhahh omg I’m laughing, even though I actually own an adorable tiny pocket book of spells that I think I got at Hot Topic (don’t come for me lol) ages ago! I will say based on what you’ve read from yours, mine is far better than the one you have lol 😆 It is somewhere between appalling and hilarious the bullshit that has been produced since everyone has jumped on the witchy train and derailed it into capitalist society
My eyebrows are trying to climb off the top of my skull at the 'get rid of a spirit that might be in need of therapy' advice.
I was somewhat bewildered myself!
As an avid Discworld reader, you bring a certain Granny Weatherwax energy to these videos that I absolutely love.
Possibly the greatest compliment of all time

@@GrumpyOldCrone Yes please to a Discworld witches video!
Well he did say that a group of witches is called an argument, I think he definitely knew some witchy folk! He had real insight for sure

You have my complete and unadulterated sympathy! Pink eye sucks!
My bladder cannot cope with this level of hilarity. I am absolutely dead of laughing!
I can only apologise!

we need more media like this
Thankyou!
Agreed!
This fluffy bunny New Age crap sets my teeth on edge.
I always say it makes my teeth itch. I hate the reductiveness of it so much.
I've just found your channel and every time I go back and see another title I think YES! I hate that too!!!

"The cringe is real". I think I want that on a sweatshirt.....
@@GrumpyOldCrone as an cradle-catholic (not a believer though) that part immediately sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Am listening to you at work. I work nights and it can it a little slow. Am laughing so hard.
That book was a whole DAMN THING. I've still got it on my desk!
A kind hearted family member once gifted me that very same book. I thanked her kindly & put it in a donations box forthwith.
At least it has given us both a moment of amusement now!

Mine have been immersed in so many salt baths for cleansing before use, so I think I’m ok😅
The cat is the best thing about it as a flip book( spoiler alert, the cat arches its back and flicks its tail!)
Reminds me of that book out of the Evil Dead
"There's somebody in my fruit cellar!"
Please do a post about the magic that is cinnamon.....

Despite how you quote-on-quote "grumpy" alot, you seem super sweet!
You are so kind! Thank you!!!!!
That cat's tail on the cover looks pretty uncomfortable.

Truth. I spent years thinking they were two different things!
I hope She was a real person though. Smelled fake and fabricated too me 😂
Hey , did you know the Wiccan Robert Lee White ?
I do not know him... should I?
@@GrumpyOldCrone it’s a private conversation really. But yeah I would reckon you knew him if you ever were in Bristol as a very young one.
😂😂😂😂
I will admit that might have been my response to that book, too....
