Thanks for the disclosure as I had my toddlers watching with me on what Imbolc is all about. 👍 Anyways, I’m loving the channel and appreciate your hard work, especially being a busy mom of 2 young kids in your household. Thank you! And yes…the American Government could learn a thing or two about maternity and paternity leave from Europe. We definitely don’t get long enough to be with our children to enjoy them those first couple of years, when development happens So rapidly!

Descendant of German settlers in PA here! Yep, Groundhog Day is a Big Deal! A local wildlife rehab center, Raven Ridge, has a groundhog named Poppy who starred with Bill Murray in a TV commercial a few years ago!
I'm so proud of you for decluttering so much!!! We keep decluttering and we're still overwhelmed! I'm considering waiting until it gets a little warmer, maybe April or May, and just getting rid of nearly everything I own. Go minimalist. I have a small 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house and a family of 4. I can't move soon enough! LOL Maybe if I get enough decluttered, the eventual move won't be so daunting.
Decluttering and downsizing can be such a daunting task honestly, especially if you own a lot of stuff. I live with my fiance and our two cats in a small two bedroom, one and a half bath trailer and it's insane. We would probably have more space if we were properly utilizing storage bins or something to that affect but we aren't and it's getting out of hand. Wanted to have gotten the yearly cleaning out of the way last week, we even took off for it, but we only managed to deep clean our bathrooms and we rested the rest of the time. We both work 10-13 hrs a day so, not much time left for cleaning except daily upkeep.
I really love how you combine the spiritual world with your daily life. It's inspiring! A d I love the winterling too. It's the first flower of spring and it's showing already its yellow heads. 🌸❤️ Thank you for sharing your way of celebration.
Im Sad that this year my Imbolc is not as warm and clean As I want it to be. my house flooded a few days ago and while I am lucky enough to still be able to stay here in my warm home it is not the same with my floor all torn up downstairs!!! I can’t really use my kitchen very well right now either but thank you so much for sharing your practices:)
Hello from Washington State, USA! I completely love everything about you and your content! I appreciate how real you are so much. Thank you for sharing your beautiful light and magick with all of us. 🙏🏻✨🕯
The reveal of The Space was the most validating thing I have ever seen. Please don't take this the wrong way, but seeing something as bad as my "Space," 😂😂😂😂😂... It was so reassuring that I am still a good mom and human. We have another entire room full of things from renovations and whatever else, that is now referred to as Hell Room. I have been tackling all of these things myself the past week, unknowingly in the spirit of Imbolc. 🌚
I love how you mentioned ground hog's day, I live in Pennsylvania, so so it's really big around here. I'll have to try your friend donut recipe, it looks so tasty! Thank you for sharing! Brightest blessings and blessed Imbolc! 🔥🔥🔥

Your videos are always so amazing and entertaining. I start them smiling with your first words and end them smiling with your last. Thank you so much for all your inspiration and magical story telling.
For my Circle's Imbolg celebration we all (6 of us total) planted flower bulbs in pots that in theory should all be in bloom at the same time. We got our 2nd snow for the Winter today. Temperatures dropped to dangerously cold last night. So ready for warm weather once again
I love it when you are filming the nature. ☺ I can't wait for spring. The dark wet winter is so depressing. Very good video! Thank you very very much! 😍
I looooove to film in nature but all the grey sad weather makes me so unmotivated to do so hahah cannot wait for sunny spring weather! Have a beautiful Imbolc 🌱
my birthday falls on Candlemass/Lichtmess so I feel very connected to that day. Loved the video and I'll try to incorporate some of the activities as well
Ah Imbolc with a New Moon! Time for dusting out the cobwebs. Thanks for an interesting video. ( we have an ice storm coming here in NW Ohio). May all have a blessed Imbolc and year! Peace.
My jaw has dropped! 1- I appreciate your creativity, talent, humor, and authenticity. 2- jaw dropped bc I didn't expect to see another witch who is into um... well, kink. That made my whole day! 3- this video was entertaining and informative! You gave some well-known ans popular options, as well as some lesser known ones. I cannot get over how great you and your work is!!!
I just couldn't stop watching. I took care of an elderly lady from Estonia once. Purchased a course on how to speak Estonian. All I can remember is "Tere hommikust".
To me it Brigid’s Day. But Spring?!!! Ha ha ha we just had a Blizzard with 22” of snow today! And a toasty 3 degrees! LOL I love Imbolc… one of my favorite Holidays.. now if I could only find the sun! :0) I’ll be leaving Brigid’s cloak on my porch overnight and making a bit of fresh butter and bread to ring in the occasion to go along with some Lamb Stew oh so yummy! Many Imbolc Blessings to you and yours.
I harvest and weave Brigid crosses and hang them in my doorways for protection. A tradition my mother Shannon passed on to me. While I weave, I think of gratitude, and lessons past and still to come. I also begin planting seeds inside, like my tomatoes and pumpkins and organize the garden area with new fresh ideas and decorations to hang and bird feeders! I love that you make candles and I definitely have the supplies to try this myself.
LOVE your channel, Bex! Keep your videos coming, please. More videos about real witchy life, including dealing with the mundane. I am there with you, although I am alot older now. Unexpectedly, raising my granddaughter. Your son is so precious 😍 he's going to be an amazing individual 💗 blessings for your growing new life. ✨️ You have given me hope daily. I lived in Germany as a child, and you have taken me back to a beautiful place in my past. I would live where you are in a second! Germany is a lovely place and my heart resonates with it's energies. Greetings from across "the pond" 😊 Thank you so much for your inspiration. Hugs 🫂 🤗
I grew up in Lancaster PA, and we have our own "groundhog lodge" that one of my family members even had their wedding reception at that had a famous groundhog that everyone would wait for to "see his shadow" to predict winters length. Also PA has a famous groundhog that they do a news story about and its also got one that is their representative for the Lottery lol
Still in the deep freeze here (-24C this morning!) so I kind of feel like Imbolc for where I live should be in March. It’s such a lovely idea to use the day to plan out the garden. Sounds like time well spent. ❤️ Nice box of stuff, btw…🤣

Fun hearing you talk about our PA Grundsau Day tradition! My grandfather and father went to the Grundsau Lodge on this Day and had to speak no English or pay a fine! 300 years in PA and still passing on the traditions! This year I’ll make Fasnacht kuche for 2/21/23
I'm totally not meaning to hijack your post 🤣🤣 we do winter sowing here. I have most of my seeds planted in jugs and they are outside snug in their jugs and in the -10 degrees covered in snow. So they will start popping up when the snow begins to melt and the temps are just right. I made a video on it a couple weeks back of you want to try winter sowing! I also planted some spinach inside and its sprouting by the window!!
Oooooh I love that idea!! I have to watch that video. And spinach is my fave to grow - I never thought of doing it inside but might do that right now haha 🌱
So happy you liked it!! My best friend is an author and she always threatens that if I ever become famous she will write a tell-all-biography about my colorful youth & 20s 😅😂
I am digging back into my roots of witchiness and your channel is amazing. You have got a delightful way of giving great info balanced with personal insights. Thank you. Blessings and peace be.
@@Thewitchescookery Yes same here. Love your witchy quirky self and videos! You may like "Scary Fairy Godmother" YT channel. And mums the word on your dirty lil secret LOL
This makes me feel so much better! Thank you for showing you’re mess, I never see anyones mess and I’m so judgmental of myself. My garage is a nightmare and I’m terrified of spiders so I won’t organize it anymore. So nothing gets stacked nicely away anymore-just tossed in there until my teens want to brave it and get their activities out.
Oh youre just like me, i have a junk drawer, and junk everywhere, but my living space is tidy(ish) lol, as a crafter and a hoarder (sirnamr hourd, pronounced hoard) it'd definitely in the name 😂😂😂 I loved your video, i will be doing what i can to celebrate Imbolc this year. As a British Pagen I've been extremely laxed over the years, but im determined to get back into my herbalism, witchery and celebrations. Thank you for your insight and being an amazing person ❤❤❤❤
Oooh those donuts look amazing. I’ve made jam donuts a few times pre kids being born and they were just the most amazing donuts I’ve ever eaten because they were so fresh! Hope you’re feeling well. You look glowing. Imbolc blessings. I just love this sabbat so much. I made a video on my channel a few weeks ago and made an oil for Brigid for spells and rituals. I’m planning to make a new Brigid’s cross this year and sew some mugwort seedlings 🌱 😊 beautiful video thank you for sharing 🙏 xx
Freshly baked stuff is just the best! No bakery can beat that 😄 Oooh, o have to check that video out!! 🤩 Sounds like wonderful Imbolc activities! Sending much love to you and yours 🌱❤️
I am seconds into your video and smiling. You are absolutely contagious! Thank you for being you and sharing your 'lovely' self and all your witchiness! *Edit* I can't wait to see what you do with your loft/attic.
You are so aesthetic. Your videos are very calming and beautifully filmed and editted. I also like listening to your voice and your accent. Thank you! ❤️
I finally found a kitchen witch youtuber!! Oh I'm so glad I stumbled onto your channel, I've been doing kitchen witchery and candle magic for years just going off of what I've learned from family and random books or articles. I'm happy I found you because this means I get to actually watch someone practice the craft and also educate at the same time, it feels so refreshing. Thank you so much for making such a great channel and video!
Thanks for the cleansing inspiration today! And the fun 😊 I appreciate so much your honesty, jokes, and really interesting information. And glad I’m not the only one with a million projects and supplies everywhere! Love and gratitude aus München!
This makes absolute sense. We have bunnies right now, our goats will be kidding soon. We just got them in their kidding stalls yesterday and we have been demolishing the kitchen (FINALLY!!!) and are getting is ready for its face lift! It all ties in with imbolc for sure!
hahahaha you got to the top of the stairs and I just giggled! So great! We in America have a long way to go with taking care of each other! I love your videos!
In Spain, women have their own festival on February 5th. Traditionally, it was the only time they enjoyed time off from household duties around the year. They would gather and party and were allowed to be somewhat naughty around men, who oftentimes would feel intimidated. I never thought it'd be related to Candlemas! Thanks for the video.
Thank you! I’ve been looking forward to this! I love the Schneeglöckchen (did I spell that correctly?) on the thumbnail-it is the best harbinger of spring. Here in the Northeast U.S, the snowdrops I planted in the autumn are under a blanket of snow we know they are just waiting to emerge.
You absolutely radiate love and health. I know that sounds very cliche for an expecting woman but you look beautiful! This was another fantastic video! 🥰 Blessings!
I love the mess vulnerability! hahah! I love the whole thing but that really made me laugh. I’ve been intensely drawn to lighting candles, cleaning and gardening this past week! Somehow found your channel and had no idea what imbolc was. Feeling excited about it, thank you! Just subscribed!
I also am clearing out my hoarding space(s)!!! Thank you so much for sharing your space, I would love to see more (or a whole video) on something similar. Maybe your philosophies on hoarding, the benifits, and how to stop because I can't 😂😂😂😭😭😭
Oh I feel your pain 😅❤️ I will definitely do a video on cleansing soon where I incorporate some of the dealing with mess things. Luckily I do not hoard - it is more of a time issue haha I just throw everything up there and then forget it is there 😂 once a year I then throw everything out again and make it pretty.
I've gotten my first cold in 3 years this week and we've also gotten a nice blizzard going on where I am lol looks like this year's Imbolc is going to be very lowkey for me and part of that lowkey, coziness is this video! Thank you for all the love you put into it
This video is almost a year old when I'm watching, but I just found your channel, and am loving it. I also put things on my stair case thinking they will somehow get put away properly, lol.
Hello from Alaska! Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos with the world. They're a pleasure to watch and very informative. I've been in the broom closet forever and I'm so glad to have found this wonderful community. Have a wonderful Imbolc!
Thank you for showing us your secret space filled with crap, lol, I have a similar attic space that is my dirty little secret…maybe I will be motivated by imbolc to tidy it up! I’m glad I’m not the only fairly tidy witch with a cute little house that has a space like this!
You have a sweet little helper I see. Is he looking forward to having a baby brother or sister? I'm so excited about Imbolc. Have a super fantastic week!!! Blessed Imbolc.

I looooove to film in nature but all the grey sad weather makes me so unmotivated to do so hahah cannot wait for sunny spring weather! Have a beautiful Imbolc 🌱
my birthday falls on Candlemass/Lichtmess so I feel very connected to that day. Loved the video and I'll try to incorporate some of the activities as well
Love it! You are part of the reason I have begun exploring my Germanic heritage. Thank you for more history and fun!
I just started watching this on Saturday the 29th of January and I did a spring cleanup in my bedrooms cleaned windows and washed curtains
Nice 💪💪💪 Imbolc-spirit all around hehe
All I can remember is
"Tere hommikust".
I absolutely adore you. You’re transparency and humor seriously lower my anxiety. Lol
Oh my with the secret stash♥️🤣
that pregnancy glow on you is so beautiful!!!
💖 Thank you!!!
Yep, traditionally in Ireland we consider February first Spring! ❄😂🌱
Happy Imbolc
Hugs 🫂 🤗
Oh goodness, I have a box up in my messy attic with the very same items.....from days long gone
Hehehehe nice to know I am not the only one 😅👯
My dear fair lady you👍 have marvelously presented imbolc and witchcraft to us laymen
I love how passionate you are about this topic! ❤
Punxsutawney Phil is such a devil too. The question is if he bit anyone or not ;-D
@@blktauna lmfao 🤣 I would bite someone if they were swarming my home with cameras the second I awoke too
@@Tangerineskies22 Fair. :-D
Yes I am from a Pennsylvania and groundhogs day is a very big holiday here.
Today we are having a snow storm❄ so, no sign of spring🌱 here yet!!
Still in the deep freeze here (-24C this morning!) so I kind of feel like Imbolc for where I live should be in March. It’s such a lovely idea to use the day to plan out the garden. Sounds like time well spent. ❤️ Nice box of stuff, btw…🤣
Where do you live? I hope you can keep warm. Stay safe too. XXX
@@jolovesblackcats Ontario Canada! Luckily we have a good furnace that kept us nice and toasty. I could feel the cold coming off the windows though and decided to skip my morning walk! 🥶 Thank you for the well wishes. ❤️
@@saraht6562 Somd of my family are Wyandot. We are in the US. We celebrate something similar usually after February. The climate are the Lakes is too harsh.
I love your honesty and your humor 😂 it gives me hope that I will break out of the rut I’m in.😊💕
Fun hearing you talk about our PA Grundsau Day tradition!
Thanks for another great video! Your box in the loft!! 🤣🤣 Please do write your biography xx
I loved this video so much. Thank you for sharing about folk witchcraft. It's a fun way for me to reconnect with my German heritage :)
Oh Yaih! So happy it helps you reconnect with your roots ❤️
Same
@@Thewitchescookery Yes same here. Love your witchy quirky self and videos! You may like "Scary Fairy Godmother" YT channel. And mums the word on your dirty lil secret LOL
I have my shed and my bedroom like your upstairs. Bowls, glass jars, craft supplies, decorations, candles 🙁 I love this video so much.💜 Blessed Be 🙌
This makes me feel so much better!
Hi from the US/Arkansas! I so wish we had a better maternity leave system here. More importantly, this is a fantastic video! Thank you for sharing!
Hello, Arkansas!
I would love to know more about this ritual with the red candle for expecting mothers. 😊
Oh youre just like me, i have a junk drawer, and junk everywhere, but my living space is tidy(ish) lol, as a crafter and a hoarder (sirnamr hourd, pronounced hoard) it'd definitely in the name 😂😂😂
I loved your video, i will be doing what i can to celebrate Imbolc this year. As a British Pagen I've been extremely laxed over the years, but im determined to get back into my herbalism, witchery and celebrations. Thank you for your insight and being an amazing person ❤❤❤❤
I am really enjoying your videos that help me reimagine my traditional yearly customs now that I have a wee one to include in them.
Lol the “space “ I feel you. I say tomorrow is another day and it turns i to a year! 🤦🏽♀️😂😂💜💜💜
ahahaha saaaaaaaaaame 😅
Your videos warm my heart and bring a giggle to my lips. Bright blessings to you and your family from Kent, 🇬🇧
Don’t fret! I have one of those “disheveled” rooms…up and down 😳😊
Soooo happy yo hear that 😂❤️
Love it Blessed Imbolc. But that room 😆 girrrrl love 💘 💕 😆
Thank you! ❤️
ok i didn't get to the attic yet. But it was funny. "abandoned career choices" lol
Oh and our puppies! We have 3 left that are waiting for their new homes! Lots of new. Lots of babies.
Most definitely!! And Yaih for all the little lives 😍 how absolutely wonderful ❤️
hahahaha you got to the top of the stairs and I just giggled!
Oh that is interesting! My partner never told me 🤣 we shall revive this custom In our household hehehe
You did spell it correctly!! 😄💪 I just love when the first spring blossoms start to appear 🌱
You absolutely radiate love and health. I know that sounds very cliche for an expecting woman but you look beautiful!
This was another fantastic video! 🥰 Blessings!
Thanks so much I live in the California desert but the traditions are my memories of my family I do appreciate you
So happy to read it brings back memories ❤️
Beautiful and magical! Great video!
9:20 I think you could also 3d print a mold in that shape, line the mold with foil and pour the wax into the mold.
Thanks!
I know that Ireland celebrates Women’s Christmas on January 6 …Nollaig na mBan as it’s called
@@Thewitchescookery I'm excited to see what you come up with! Your videos are always a joy to watch ❤
I've gotten my first cold in 3 years this week and we've also gotten a nice blizzard going on where I am lol looks like this year's Imbolc is going to be very lowkey for me and part of that lowkey, coziness is this video! Thank you for all the love you put into it
Hope you are feeling better soon. Keep your fluid intake up & rest as much as you can. XXX
Blessed Be!! I am glad you are here. I appreciate you I am so glad I found you. Aela
This video is almost a year old when I'm watching, but I just found your channel, and am loving it. I also put things on my stair case thinking they will somehow get put away properly, lol.
It makes me so happy and peaceful watching your videos💜 maybe it’s the namesake and shared ethnicity 🥰
Hello from Alaska! Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos with the world. They're a pleasure to watch and very informative. I've been in the broom closet forever and I'm so glad to have found this wonderful community. Have a wonderful Imbolc!
Well I could say you said küünlapäev nearly perfect 😊
Thank you for another awesome video! Full of inspiration as always 😍
Oooh thank you so much!! 😄❤️ I tried my best but my Estonian was always rather crappy 😅
@@Thewitchescookery No I think you did just fine 😊 happy Imbolc! 🕯
Beautifull video 🌟🍓🧙♀️
I love always fresh flowers everywhere at your home & nice candles🧙♀️
Lovely earrings, looks beautiful on you💗
Neat to know the origin of PA's Groundhog Day. We call him Punxsutawney Phil.
He is the cutest helper haha and yes, he is sooooo excited for baby! It is really sweet to see - hope it stays like that once little one arrives 😄 have a wonderful Imbolc and the most magical week
