No, i am serious... i still remember when video of this car going into seawater went viral... then years later many youtubers attempted to get this car for restoration.. i think it was Ed bolian from vinwiki who talked about this car as possible future project... only for him to say it was beyond salvation even joking about turning it into house decor... so now we finally get to know what happened to that one bugatti that went into seawater
I admire the amount of skill and patience involved in this project. So many possible points of failure. Something to be said for simplicity.
I also cannot grasp how you can later turn this on, and expect hundreds of fluid joints to not spray everywhere. You'd have to tear the whole thing apart to get a wrench on some of those fittings. It's an engineering wonder with how these thing run, but a maintenance nightmare.
The plumbing and electrical on this car seems diabolical. Such a crazy undertaking rebuilding this car!
Yup. The Engineers were clearly under a lot of pressure.
This car is part way between a production car and a prototype. The costs involved with getting to full production levels are impossible with such low volumes.
If you want production style quality, get a kia/Ford, etc. Avoid all super cars !
Most underrated series on UA-cam deserves some more credit how picks up a project like that 🤑 maybe Freddie and the P1

@@jphc7181 Houston mentioned in the beginning of this series that the car was painted and reassembled in 2021. The hard drive with all the video footage was dropped and damaged. So it had to be recovered.
1:04 take it to a motor re manufacturing shop and have yours rewound and rebuilt.
Even with the money Houston has it'd probably be a massive bill

He's talking about a blower fan, not the engine. They aren't even allowed to crack the valve covers open because Bugatti said they won't ever service the car again if he does so @@bradmartland5723
It's probably balanced, which increases base cost. Retail cost is a multiple.
@@nickit22 it’s the fan blades that have little weights on (small metal clips) to balance so as long as they are still in place it should be fine.

2:50 Small tip when working on the bolts near satin finishes, put tape on the extender of the bits so you don’t leave marks around the area
It is just crazy .. never thought id ever see anyone do a nut an bolt restoration on a veyron except of course the block because Bugatti are tight wads an wont give up the seals .. but still the balls it takes to spend the money to do the work all in house at Royalty , such a cool series .

I'm so impressed by the thought that they were able to take apart and put back together a car that has so many intricate pieces. I love taking stuff apart and putting them back together but looking at this video I would've probably said "F" this half way through. LOL. Kudos to Houston, Andy and Beer!!

What a nightmare car...don't care how exclusive, luxurious or fast it is. It is a crowning example of, "It is worth whatever a person will pay. ". Bugatti must laugh on the way to the bank every time they collect $40K for what amounts to a $500 VW or Audi part.
It makes designer clothing companies seem reasonable

The extreme super load color with the brown interior somehow works I’m not big brown interior person but it really goes well ❤
So satisfying to see the interior going in and the mating of the car onto the rear assembly. Kind of weird to see this monster rear power train rear sub assembly take form, and then bolt the car onto it vs insert it into a car.
I can't wait to see this Car finished, the amount of Time, Love and Care taken to bring this car back to better than new is Astounding...

My Hats off to you both you have nerves of steel and the Patience of a Saint! The amount of wiring and plumbing is far too overwhelming to the normal human being, you have taken a bucket of bolts and have created a one off better than factory Veyron! I cannot wait to see the turn key part where your finally driving her and enjoying her after the thousands of countless hours of intense physical and mental labor to achieve the finished work of art!
