Sounds fantastic. I've only had my czt for 4 months

Sounds Decent Stewart, bit of a little sleeper now imo.

Great sounds, so the K&N filter is good? You hear extra sound? Did you see improved gas milieage?

Its an AEM dry cone using the K&N 57i MAF adaptor. Didn't notice any improvement in fuel economy

did it run fine after installing the kit? or did you get it mapped in, i want to get an induction kit for my czt.

Sounds good. Did you see gains other than sound? Just got k&n panel filter in air box at moment but was wondering about heat soak with an induction kit. Had car remapped by quantum two weeks ago to around 180bph and love the results so looking for further improvements although on a budget. Thanks

No gains, it's purely a sound thing, didn't have it on very long as it got on my nerves lol. The stock airbox is fantastic on the colt so a panel filter is the best option. The main issue you will face with fitting a cone is that the car really needs to be mapped with it fitted as it skews the MAF calibration, I found a few part throttle flat spots which isn't the end of the world but it definitely drives better with the stock airbox. In your case I can only see something like this being exacerbated as its already been mapped. The colt responds really well to exhaust mods. Those £40 japspeed decat pipes are awesome, if you've still got the stock front cat in you'll probably pick up 5-10bhp. Just get a spacer for the rear O2 sensor and leave the rest of the system standard and you'll still pass an MOT. Changing the elbow for an Autobahn88 one will pick up a few BHP as well, you can only use this with the Japspeed decat pipe though.

thanks for the advice. just checked your videos on those. very helpful. as a random question do you have a piece of rubber running under the front of your bonnet to seal it when it is closed? I have holes and wondered it it is missing. cheers

Yeah there should be a rubber piece that goes along the scuttle tray

Built By Stew how did you find the Maf housing part number and are you sure it was the correct one as if too large diameter maf would not measure air correctly giving you the flat spots. I was going to stick with stock air box and better panel filter as you said but want that woosh too much! cheers

I can't take any credit for finding the part number, somebody posted it on CZTOC a while back and said where to order it from. Yes you are correct, its a known fact the 57i MAF housing is slightly larger than stock and it upsets the MAF calibration. It will quite often cause fuel trim codes on standard cars with them fitted. It increases power slightly as well because of this but I doubt you would feel it. I've linked a forum post about it below. After I sold this I drilled a number of 25 holes in the side of the airbox base and bought a KN panel filter, the noise was about 80% what it was with the cone without the flat spot. I ended up plugging all the holes with blind grommets as I got sick of the noise again lol.
