Turbo fan has better fuel efficiency then turbojet.
However turbojet has more power and thus more speed to it.

1. This is indeed a big news for India. We can look forward to this missile being inducted soon. Further versions will improve its effectiveness against both Pakistan and China. 2. Now Brahmos can be used only for critical targets and its use can be optimized.

I heard some ex-airforce official say that subsonic cruise missiles are of no use as modern air defences can easily intercept them. He specifically mentioned nirbhay. What’s your view on it?
Tell him to say that to the US Navy which still uses Tomahawk. You don't fire a cannon to kill a mosquito.
Plus Subsonic missiles have standoff advantage over their Supersonic counterparts. Tomahawk Block-5B has a range of 1700 Km.
Actually he is right..as all the Sub sonic cruise missiles are being replaced by Stealth Sub sonic cruise missiles.❤

What is the difference between tomahawk vs nirbhay vs itcm vs brahmos?
@@superhitragini You can think that Nirbhay is similar to Tomahawk but less powerful than Brahmos in firepower and speed while can cover long distances and is light weight. ITCM is different.
@@superhitraginiBramhos is heavy and supersonic ( one of its kind) , nirbhay is indian devloped but engine was Russian , and ITCM is 100% Indian with GTRE STFE engine both ITCM AND NIRBHAY are subsonic with 1500Kmn range

A small correction is required in the video. Between 1:04 & 1:30 min marks of the video you have have contradicted yourself, 1st by saying Turbojet engines are more efficient than Turbofan engines and then saying that ITCM powered by Turbofan engines will have more range than Nirbhay Cruise Missiles powered by Turbojet.

Today regarding this missile test some reports say that its max range is 980km and according to your report its range is above 1000 km. In real battle theatre isn't 20km is a big discrepancy ???

How is this missile system different from brahmos missile system??
Brahmos is supersonic ie it can go upto 3+ mach speed and has a ramjet engine, this is a cruise missile it goes at .9-1 mach and stays super low towards the surface to avoid radar and has a mid flight flight correction system.
