Man thanks so much. Ive been really into making drill beats but they were getting really boring without 808 slides, but I couldn't do 808 slide without sampling the 8-8s so this really helped.
useful... can i ask you how to make a sample taken from a live concert fit into the BPM exactly?... I mean, normally jazz jams for example are not played to a metronome, but if i want to take a sample from there and use it into a project i have to make it fit exactly into the tempo of the new project... I hope i've explained myself... thx heaps
Hey I was wondering if it was certain os version for Mac to be able to use this sampler, i don’t get the option under the plug in to view sampler au, any ideas?
i use several plugins on garageband and whenever more than 3 are active in the same project, garageband freezes and i loose all my progress. i end having to delete the file manually from the hardrive cos garageband opens the file and freezes again. same with the sampler btw
Hi great tutorial. I have followed the steps as you describe them, load a wav file, Au sampler plays it but it won't record the sample onto the Gb track. Tried it with just the sine wave and same thing. The VU metre on the Gb track is registering the sound (green bar) but won't record it. Your help would be most welcome, Thanks

@@StudioHacks I just upgraded to 10.4.2 and had quite a lot of trouble finding the AU Sampler, and when the window pops up for it, there's no way to load sounds. It's just knobs for different parameters. So, it's essentially useless.

is there a glitchy sound every time you play the kick? or is it an 808 bass?
@@StudioHacks well both, no matter what sound it is. I play it then it glitches
@@musicbyjunn maybe your sample is way too loud, try turning the volume down on the sampler, it might be digital clipping you are hearing
