      Upright rows also hit the side delts hard, but yes he had notably cheated form and replicating that may not be a great idea

      @Dylan Bashian not what I said, many people have built great shoulders with upright rows, and cheated form but most people likely shouldn't rely on that approach

      @@Jan.Mendez Here’s the thing though… is any of it true? You may use the bible as proof but it is not a historically verifiable source or impartial. Is it a device set up to gain control of a large group of people and have them all moving in unison? I was brought up Roman Catholic but as an adult I started thinking for myself.

    Thanks champ...I Ve know him Since winning i think NPC U.S. Tournament of Champions Heavyweight and Overall and his amazing appearance in Night of the champion's 2000 , in magazines...in his early years...especially pictures in the gym and the sea. When he was twenty...he is one of the most talented in this sport...then I knew that he would be one of the legends of the game...and I was not mistaken. .stuck in my mind

    2 weeks ago I went to the doctor and he was like “you need to put on like 6-8lbs of muscle”. Im a 120lb stick of a female. So, Im like ok challenge accepted and I start going to the gym to lift. All of a sudden UA-cam is recommending “how to get capped delts” and I’m like “who even is Jay Cutler and what does he know about capped delts?” ☠️😭 so now I’m out here watching Jay Cutler videos religiously.     Wait, no presses? Personally i found the best delt gains when I treated my standing barbell ohp like my bench press

      Shoulder presses aren’t as important because the focus should be on the side and rear delt. You should already have a pretty well developed front delt from chest compounds.

      You don't need to isolate the front delt if you do bench press. Especially if you do inclince presses

    I always thought military presses were the best way to develop the delts. I know lateral raises are good though he was using a lot of momentum and swinging and swaying so technique wise I'm not sure that's the wisest form.

      I don't know it seems like some of the guys you would consider having a lot of movement. It seems within that movement that they are hitting whatever they're trying to hit. I guess that's the point. Everyone's definitely different. But some exercises and you work a little better with me when I get to moving slightly more. Everybody have a good one

    Cable crossovers are the only ones done correctly. The other exercises had horrible form. Jay is a beast and has great genetics which plays a huge factor on why his shoulders were pretty damn good.

      Pros do exercises for feel and pump...a lot of their movements are done the way they are on purpose...it looks bad to non pros but trust me ..the way they do them are extremeky effective...but...u have to ensure you get the correct feel on each movement...

    Any advantage to being seated for lateral raises? I do DB front raises, lateral raises, and rear delt flyes all from the standing position as it feels better & stronger, easier to control

    Many say "don't cheat and keep the form".
    Cheating isn't always a bad thing. It helps to overload the muscle and gives a great pump

    So interesting, both of his lateral movements look like an upright row/raise hybrid.
    Almost like it’s the best way to scale a very weak movement, add a controllable element of cheating to allow a little more weight

    but i do them the same way
    i simply feel my side delts better that way
    if i have my arms to side is dont feel my side delts
