I get the feeling, I think it's harder to do so in the moment when you're trying to remember what they said and actively translate. The people who do the captions can relisten to it and get multiple opinions
@@DrRosalicious Me too with the Spanish. LOL🤣 I'm always rewinding, listening, then rewinding, reading the captions, then all over again to listen to the translation. hahaha all that time, just to end up annoyed. Every time I see this scene between Kobe’s and Emily’s father, I cry. 😭🥹🥲 Both of their families are so beautiful together; they both couldn’t marry into two more beautiful families! Having traveled through several countries in North Africa, I will never forget the love, friendship and kindness that I felt and was blessed with. I had recently lost my mother at the time yet felt as if I was coming home. As for the traditional wedding part, it’s a beautiful honor for now Kobe’s father to have one for them just like Emily’s father did for their civil marriage. I am really excited to see their religious and traditional wedding. 💕
Hey girl, I’m so excited for this up coming wedding too im thinking maybe Kobe is saying under his breath “Your doing good Emily just stay calm!! His friends are going to try to push her buttons!! Hope your 2024 is off to a good start! This is Gina from Texas 🌻🩵🙏
@@GinaMaxey Hey, Gina! I’ve missed talking with you! I have to agree with what you are saying especially the point about his friends. 😆 I hope you are doing well and had a good Easter weekend. It really is nice to meet up with you again through Zain’s account. Ohh, how the time has flown on by!
@@isabellancali5388 Your right time does fly! I was wondering if you knew what happened to MasterofBlackJack? I was thinking about the other day. Have a Beautiful Thursday 🌻🩵🙏
Traditional marriage is very important in most of Africa and it actually holds more importance than church wedding in most African people. Like if anything happens and even if your husband leaves you, you are the wife for life and no one can say anything. It’s for her benefit actually.
That's so funny, I've livef in France more than 40 years and I had the same reaction as you when I understood what the father was saying 🤣🤣🤣. Then I was like "you idiot" to myself! 🤣
I watch them because they are so wholesome! They have such a beautiful family! Its a nice change from all the train wrecks Also, nice touch with bringing in Nicole
J’ai trouvé l’accueil du papa très touchant moi aussi, ta réaction aussi. Je n’écoute pas ces émissions, mais j’aime écouter tes vidéos, tes commentaires.
Who remembers kobe saying that his father is indeed from a royal family. He explained that in Cameroon there's more than 200 tribes and that they have chiefs, and chiefs were considered royal. But he said he was "far away from it" and instead chose his own path.
I have just found your videos. OMG I am an American woman married to a Moroccan man. I understand what they are going through. Morocco is #1 in hospitality, with good reason. I love it here. I’m looking forward to more videos from you ❤❤❤❤
I lived in Gabon, which is a southern neighbor of Cameroon. People there would often have the traditional marriage years after a legal one, or after a couple had been together many years. If a woman was well educated, worked, and had already had children with the man, the dowry he would have to give would be huge, so Emily should take advantage of this. Marriage is not a prerequisite to living together and having children in many places in West Africa. The two families negotiated publicly and you had to be careful to get someone who was really good at it. One time, i was at a wedding where the man's negotiator got the brides name wrong, and it caused a huge offense. The groom's family had to quickly go to the ATM and get out more money to pay for this mistake, though everything had been agreed upon before.
As someone who is also francophonian, thank you for accurately clarifying the translation. If the viewers understood the joy his father had. The traditional wedding isn't necessary in my family, but every African family is different. They should consider going through it out of respect.
@4:04 in my culture we smudge (bless) people by wafting smoke over them with a sacred feather. It's done by the highest ranking elder man or head woman if it's a women and children's gathering. I wonder if it's something similar. It's basically like wiping your feet before entering someone's house but for your spirit.
@2:55 that's normal for my parents' generation. Mom was one of seven and my birth dad was one of ten, 14 if you count stillborns (sharecropper family in the 1930's to 50's so home births went bad sometimes).
I figured you would understand their French. It's so cool how people in Northern Africa speak so many languages. Very shameful on us Americans that we mostly don't.
Some cultures use leaves as a cleanser, so maybe that has some significance to them? Or perhaps a symbol of wealth and fertility as in some spring festivals in older cultures? You notice Kobe's direct mother is not there...I wonder if she lives apart from his father or some other reason?
Sorry but looking at what his family is wearing compared to what her family is wearing. Her family especially her dad looks ridiculous. Why is he wearing a necklace with what looks like teeth on it 🙄😅
Enjoying the consistency? 👀
yeees!! please keep the reaction videos coming

Hell yes! I already told you I want to see a video every day! 😅
Yes! Thank you! 😊
Absolutely!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Laughed so loud at ‘sacrifice her’ scared the cat 😂
It is so annoying when the kids don't translate correctly. Kobe's Dad puts words together so beautifully. A true translation would have been touching.

I love how Emily just joined right in dancing. A lot of the women on 90 Day Fiancé stand back and have that WTF look on their face.
His dad giving her parents that plant made me cry. Such a touching moment.
This is so cute, I will forget all about Emily and her bratty behavior. These are two nice families and Kobe is the nicest guy
