Awesome to see older lifters. I didn't start getting my life together and getting into the gym until I was 43 and sadly overweight. In the last three years, with crossfit, I've seen huge gains, lost weight, and feel better than I did in my 30s. I have more work to do and learn every day I get into the box. I am a geek and am more than a little amused that it's taken me this long to figure out a way to enjoy getting fit. Thank you Barbell Shrugged for educating us all on different techniques and points of view from all over. Travis Mash is one more brick in the wall of great information you guys offer every episode and article. Please keep up the great work and keep these interviews coming. Would love to hear more from older athletes like Travis about the ways they're staying strong and getting stronger!
I was going to forget all about squat everyday seeing as I'm already squatting about 4 times a week on my olympic weightlifting program. I didn't think any more squats could possibly be of any use but SHIT!!!! If travis mash who has literally seen it all and done it all is squatting everyday, and getting results them i'm squatting everday! starting tomorrow! Thanks guys great episode! I'm 27 and on my second year of olympic weightlifting, this video has helped wipe away a few of the nagging doubts in my mind that I am already too old to be seriously good. bring on the next 15 years! I'm in a remote part of scotland so I have no coaching available unfortunately... but thanks to the awesome people like Travis, barbell shrugged and so so many others on youtube im still able to learn and get better every F'n week. these guys aren't just weightlifting coaches-> they are life coaches! gladly sharing all they know and i'm eternally grateful.
Guys, Just wanted to say I have really enjoyed the Podcasts lately! I could listen to Travis, Cory Gregory and Julien Pineau on every podcast and never get tired of it! Also awesome to see you guys were in my hometown wish I could have been there!
+Travis Mash I live in Wallburg, which is just south of Winston in Davidson county. Also I believe we have a mutual friend Will Bradley. Stoked to get a reply from you Travis and it'd be an honor to meet you one day!
Hey guys, Just wanted to say thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. I'm 32 yrs old and have been doing crossfit for 3 yrs now coaching for 7 months, and can not begin to explain how much you all have helped me as an athlete and as a coach. The knowledge you all drop on these episodes not only from your own experiences and knowledge but from experts of there field is overwhelming. I am truly grateful for your hard work and look forward to what you will bring in the future. The internet truly is an amazing tool, not just for porn. Lol. So in closing, Thank you. Not just to you, but to every person who has dropped BOMBS on your show.
Hello, sorry if this is not the appropriate place to post this, however, I had to say THANK YOU for the Barbell Shrugged Coffee Mug!! I have no idea why you sent it to me. I definitely didn't order it. I went out to the mail box at our "box" Country Spirit CrossFit since no one showed up to the 5AM class for me to coach, feeling a little depressed, and there it was! IT MADE MY DAY and I instantly felt better! Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME AND THANKS AGAIN!!
This is such a tremendous episode guys love it! Travis your such an inspiring individual, you show the world that there is no limit to strength or no age limit to become the best version of yourself
I wish I had came home from alaska sooner while I'm on leave in nc before heading to colorado. Travis mash is a genius and I was skeptical of the squat everyday program but I'll have to try it now. Love this episode so much great content.
